Alpha's replacement bride is destined mate-Chapter 109 Go Find Her
"What is Emily missing?" Shocked by the shocking news, Prince Adam eagerly asked the royal representatives, "What the hell is going on?"
"Alpha Klaus has picked up some clues, and he believes that Luna Emily’s maid kidnapped her. So Alpha Klaus wants us to help him find his Luna." Alan replied.
"Why would a maid kidnap Emily?" Prince Adam’s brow furrowed, full of perplexity. Could it be that the maid had kidnapped Emily for money? That didn’t seem likely. The maids who usually attended to the princess had always been treated well, and it was unlikely that she would make such a bold move for financial gain. Perhaps the maid had some other motive? Prince Adam was lost in thought.
"So, are we acceding to Alpha Klaus’ request?" Alan asked cautiously.
"Of course, we’re going to help him find Emily." Prince Adam’s face tensed, and he decisively ordered, "Immediately block all intersections and mobilize all alpha soldiers to find Emily’s whereabouts. Be quick. Every street, every corner."
"Do you want to tell the king about this?"
"Don’t let the king know about Emily’s disappearance just yet." Prince Adam thought to himself that his father, who had just recovered from his illness and was still very weak, mustn’t be agitated in any way.
"Have everyone assemble outside the Capitol building, and I’m going to personally direct the operation."
"Your Highness, are you going to join the search yourself?" Alan hesitated, a worried look on his face. "Maybe you could leave this matter to someone else. After all, you have other official duties to attend to."
"Do as I say." Prince Adam’s brow furrowed, and he cast a sharp gaze at Allen, which was full of unmistakable authority. "Now."
"Yes, Your Highness." Instantly, Allen turned and hurried to carry out Prince Adam’s orders.
Ten minutes later, Prince Adam and his guards were rushing to the hotel where Emily had disappeared. By this time, a conspicuous cordon had been set up outside the hotel’s entrance. Inside the hotel, all the guests were assembled in the lobby, and the atmosphere was solemn and oppressive. One by one, they appeared nervous as they were questioned by the guards. Each question was like a clue to Emily’s disappearance, and each answer could be the key to solving the mystery.
Prince Adam’s eyes were like torches as he keenly spotted Klaus in the crowd. He walked up to Klaus with a grave face.
"Alpha Klaus." Prince Adam lowered his voice to greet Klaus, and as he approached, he immediately caught the strong odor of alcohol emanating from Klaus.
Bastard, my sister’s gone, and he’s actually in the mood for a drink. I should have punched him.
Prince Adam struggled to contain his frustration. He didn’t have a good relationship with Klaus due to their negotiations, and he didn’t exactly have a crush on him. But this time, to find Emily, he had to put aside his personal feelings and work with Klaus.
"Prince Adam, thank you for your help." By this time, despite his alcohol-fueled state, Klaus was functioning with a clarity not unlike that of a sober person. He grimaced and said to Prince Adam, to make a long story short, "Emily disappeared about two hours ago, and my Beta found an injured woman in the stairwell of the hotel. She was a friend of Emily’s. She told me, Beta, that it was Emily’s maid who had wounded her. I checked the hotel’s security footage and saw the maid driving a taxi when she left the hotel. I suspect Emily was in that cab. So I need your help to investigate the trail of that taxi. Here’s the license plate number of the cab."
Prince Adam took a photograph of the taxi’s license plate that Klaus had printed and turned to hand it to the captain of the guard beside him.
"Tell everyone to stop the car as soon as they find it."
"Yes, Your Highness." The tall captain of the guard immediately complied.
In about twenty minutes, the captain of the guard hastened to report the results of the inquiry to Prince Adam. He bowed his head slightly, his expression solemn. "We retrieved the surveillance footage from all the intersections and found that the taxi was heading to the suburbs. As there were no security cameras on that stretch of road, we were unable to pinpoint the taxi’s exact location. But rest assured, Your Highness, we will continue to intensify our search efforts and will not miss a single clue."
"Get a few people to accompany me to the suburbs and search for that taxi," Prince Adam ordered.
"I’ll come with you too," Klaus added without hesitation, joining the search party.
Prince Adam and Klaus entered the search party’s vehicle, and silence reigned throughout the journey. A heavy stillness permeated the carriage, and the tension was palpable, like a thick cloud suffocating the air. The car sped down the road, the sound of its wheels grinding against the pavement like the pounding of an anxious heart. Soon, they arrived at the outskirts, where everything was still except for the rustling of leaves in the breeze.
"Look, it’s a taxi." The silence was broken by the driver’s voice, pointing to a yellow cab parked on the side of the road ahead, a hint of surprise in his tone.
"Drive the car over," Prince Adam immediately commanded.
The car raced towards the taxi’s location, the roar of the engine echoing through the air. As soon as the car stopped, Klaus and Prince Adam sprang out, their movements swift and decisive, like arrows released from a bow.
The taxi stood abandoned on the side of the road. Prince Adam exchanged a look with Klaus, and they immediately surrounded the cab, approaching cautiously, each step filled with vigilance.
"Damn, there’s nothing in there," Prince Adam said, scrutinizing the taxi with disappointment and anger etched on his face. His brows were tightly furrowed, and his eyes flashed with frustration.
"The trunk smells like Emily," Klaus said gravely, leaning in to sniff the trunk carefully. "The hood is still warm, which means they shouldn’t be far."
"Initiate a full-scale search from this location," Prince Adam repeated, his eyes scanning the surroundings intently, as if trying to see into every corner.
Emily, where the hell are you?
