Haley couldn’t quite comprehend why Elijah had given her the order to bring Emily to him. The task was both hasty and perilous, yet Haley had to carry it out.

Elijah was her king, the man she loved above all others. She had always been willing to make sacrifices for him. She would have done anything for him if it meant pleasing him.

Elijah had sent her the time and location of the meeting for tonight, and if Haley could only get Emily to the designated spot before the plane took off, her mission would be complete.

"I can finally escape from this cursed place. I’m so sick of being a maid," Haley muttered, tying up her hair and changing into a lightweight outfit.

Haley had concealed a small silenced pistol in her waistband and a Swiss army knife in her boot. After preparing herself, she didn’t rush to Emily. She wasn’t sure if Emily was in her room, and she had to keep an eye out for Alpha Klaus. If he were with Emily, she would have to find a way to separate them. After all, the northern werewolf was too formidable for her to handle alone.

Haley dialed Emily’s room from the hotel’s landline, and the phone rang for a minute before Emily answered, her voice hoarse. "This is Emily."

She was indeed in the room. Haley secretly rejoiced and spoke to Emily in her usual tone. "Your Highness, this is Heidi. Do you need your room cleaned?"

"No, thank you."

"Your Highness, I just met a gentleman who asked me to deliver a letter to Alpha Klaus." Haley concocted a lie. "Is Alpha Klaus with you?"

"No, he’s not with me." Emily’s voice sounded choked. "If you don’t have anything else, I’ll hang up."

The line went dead with a beep, and Haley tossed the receiver aside. She calmly analyzed Emily’s current situation.

Alone in her room, sounding ill, it was the perfect opportunity to do something for Emily.

Haley didn’t hesitate. She immediately retrieved a syringe and anesthetic from the drawer. "One dose of anesthetic is sufficient to render an average werewolf completely unconscious within thirty minutes."

Carefully concealing the syringe, she made her way to Emily’s room. Less than five minutes later, Haley stood outside Emily’s door and rang the bell.

The door opened slowly after several rings, revealing Emily’s pale, tear-stained face.

"Heidi, didn’t I say you didn’t need to clean my room for a while?" Emily leaned against the door, looking weak.

"Your Highness, I have something important to tell you," Haley feigned nervousness. "It’s about Alpha Klaus."

"I’m not interested in his affairs right now." Emily moved slowly, leaving the door ajar.

"I just saw Alpha Klaus go into a room with another woman," Haley said, walking into the room and silently slamming the door behind her. She pulled out the anesthetic syringe.

"What did you see?" Emily turned her back to Haley, stopping in her tracks. "Who is Klaus with?"

Taking advantage of Emily’s distraction, Haley rushed to her side, grabbing her shoulder with one hand and plunging the anesthetic needle directly into her neck with the other.

"Whoever he’s with, you’ll never see him again," Haley’s voice turned cold as she watched Emily slowly fall to the ground.

After determining that Emily was unresponsive, Haley kicked the unconscious Emily. Haley cautiously opened the door and pulled the cleaning cart inside.

Haley quickly shoved Emily’s body into a blue plastic bucket on the cleaning cart, covered it with a lid, and walked out of the room, pretending to be a cleaner.

All was going smoothly, but just as she was about to take the elevator down, she spotted Emily’s friend emerging from the elevator. Haley kept her head down and deliberately ignored the woman, Dolly, who was the last person to discover she had secretly filmed Emily. Fortunately, Dolly didn’t spot the phone Haley had used for the recording.

"Heidi?" Dolly stopped abruptly.

Haley hesitated, then replied, "Yes."

"You’re done cleaning your room, aren’t you?" Dolly asked.

"Yes," Haley replied, not wanting to waste time with her. She pushed the cleaning cart and pressed the elevator button immediately.

As the elevator doors opened, Haley was about to push the cleaning cart inside, but Dolly stopped the doors with her hand.

"Why aren’t you wearing maid’s clothes today?" Dolly inquired.

Haley frowned and slowly looked up. A tense moment passed between them as Haley’s fist slammed into Dolly’s head with lightning speed.

Dolly instinctively tried to dodge, but Haley was too quick. She barely had time to tilt her head slightly before Haley’s fist struck her cheek. Dolly stumbled back a few steps, almost falling to the ground.

However, Haley gave her no chance to retaliate, grabbing Dolly by her hair and slamming her head against the elevator door. As a highly skilled Alpha wolf, Haley had little difficulty handling a low-ranking Omega wolf like Dolly.

There was no mercy in Haley’s eyes as she watched Dolly faint on the ground. Then, she bent down, grabbed Dolly by the arm, and roughly dragged her into the stairwell.

She disposed of Dolly in the stairwell like garbage and locked the door behind her. Returning to the elevator, Haley pulled out her silenced pistol and destroyed the hallway security camera before pushing the cleaning cart inside.

​The elevator rolled smoothly to the parking lot floor, and Haley stepped out with both hands firmly pushing the cleaning cart.At this point, the parking lot lights are dim, and the only sounds in the silent space are the sound of the elevator running and the slight sound of her pushing a cleaning cart.Just as she was pushing the cleaning cart out of the elevator, a yellow taxi drove in like a ghost and stopped directly in front of her.

Haley stood silent, waiting patiently for the taxi’s passengers to get out.The passengers, as if in a hurry, closed the doors and hurried away.When the passenger was out of sight, Haley moved around to the driver’s seat of the cab.Without a moment’s hesitation she opened the car door directly, raised the gun in her hand, and pulled the trigger over the driver’s head.I heard only the dull report of a pistol shot, and the instant blood gurgled down the driver’s head and stained it red.Haley did not hesitate as she grabbed the driver by the collar and pulled him out of the car.The driver’s body hit the ground with a muffled thud.

Haley then turned around and pushed the cleaning cart into the trunk of the car.She lifted the lid of the trunk to reveal the dark space within.Then, with all her strength, she forced Emily’s body into the trunk of the tree.

With that done, Haley did not hesitate to step into the driver’s seat.She shifted in her seat and kept her eyes fixed on the front.Then she pressed the accelerator hard, the cab engine roared, the wheels spun on the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust, and the cab disappeared into the dark passage like an arrow from a string.
