Alpha's Hidden Precious Luna-Chapter 140
Lily POV
I don’t know how long it took.
I’d lost track of time completely. I didn’t know how long I had stayed and there was practically nothing I could do.
At least he was kind enough not to seal my mouth before leaving, but there was no light. I had to rely on my senses. I was thirsty and hungry but I couldn’t trust the food he had placed in the room. I didn’t want to die yet.
Just when I thought he would not show up, the door cracked open and he peered in.
“Hello...hello...” he sounded happy.
"You’re insane! A complete psychopath! When I get out of here—and I will get out—you’re going to regret ever laying a finger on me!" I hurled every insult I could think of at him, my voice growing hoarse from the effort. "My pack will hunt you down like the rabid dog you are!"
Lucas just stood there – he didn’t even flinch - watching me, that infuriating grin never leaving his face. His arms were crossed over his chest, his eyes with amusement as if my outrage was nothing more than a child’s tantrum. That only fueled my anger more.
The longer he smiled, the angrier I became. I kicked my bound feet, yanking against the ropes that bound my wrists, but all it did was make the restraints cut deeper into my skin.
"You psychotic, arrogant, self-obsessed bastard!" I spat, breathless from my rage. "Do you ever get tired of being a complete nightmare?"
He only chuckled.
"The Alpha Council will strip you of your title when they find out what you’ve done," I continued, struggling against my restraints. "Kidnapping another Alpha’s mate is punishable by exile, or worse!"
When I finally ran out of breath, my chest heaving with exertion and fury, Lucas tilted his head and asked calmly, "Are you done?"
I seethed, my chest rising and falling in quick bursts. But my energy level was waning and he knew it.
I clenched my teeth. "Go to hell, Lucas."
"Been there, darling," he said smoothly. "Didn’t like the décor."
The casual dismissal of my anger made me want to scream, but before I could start again, he bent down and scooped me up into his arms. I thrashed against him, but with my hands and feet still bound, I couldn’t do much damage.
" What the—?Put me down!" I demanded, panic rising as he carried me toward the door. "Where are you taking me?"
Lucas didn’t answer, just tightened his grip and shouldered open the door. We emerged into a narrow hallway with stairs leading up. That’s when I realized I’d been kept in a basement. The musty smell, the dampness, the lack of windows—it all made sense now.
He climbed the stairs effortlessly despite my weight, and when we reached the top, I blinked in surprise at what I saw.
Instead of the run-down shack I’d been expecting, we were in a beautiful, modern apartment. The main living area was open-concept, with a plush sectional sofa facing a stone fireplace. The kitchen gleamed with stainless steel appliances and marble countertops. Large windows let in the afternoon sunlight, illuminating hardwood floors and tasteful artwork on the walls.
It was... lovely. And completely at odds with the dank basement I’d just been held in.
"Welcome home," Lucas said, setting me down but keeping a firm grip on my arm.
I stood there, unable to help myself from taking in the details of the space. The throw pillows on the couch were in shades of teal and tan—my favorite colors. The bookshelf against one wall held titles I recognized, many of them my favorites.
Lucas leaned in close, his breath hot against my ear. "You like it, right?"
I jerked away from him, trying to mask the chill that ran down my spine. "It’s a prison with better decor. Nothing more."
He chuckled, knowingily. "You were always a terrible liar, Lily. Your eyes give you away every time." His hand tightened on my arm. "Come on, there’s something else I want to show you."
He guided me—or rather, dragged me—down a short hallway to a closed door. My heart raced, unsure of what fresh horror awaited me. Lucas paused, a strange mix of pride and anticipation on his face, before pushing the door open.
"This is where you’ll be staying," he said.
I stepped into the room, and my breath left my lungs.
It was my bedroom. Not just similar—it was an exact replica of my bedroom from the Golden Moon Pack.
The same lavender walls I’d painted myself against pack tradition. The dreamcatcher I had hung in the same spot above the full-sized bed with its patchwork quilt. My collection of crystals lined the windowsill in the precise arrangement I’d always kept them. Even the worn copy of an old novel sat on the nightstand, a pressed wildflower marking my place exactly as I’d left it when I moved out six months ago.
But my room at Golden Moon had been a converted attic space—small, cozy, with sloped ceilings and awkward corners that I’d made work through creative furniture arranging. This room was twice that size, with high ceilings and big windows, yet every detail had been meticulously recreated within this larger canvas.
The calendar on the wall was even open to the same month as when I’d left—the same birthdays circled, the same pack events noted in my handwriting.
Or not my handwriting. A perfect forgery.
A tear slid down my cheek before I could stop it. The sight was both familiar and deeply wrong—like looking at your own reflection and seeing it smile when you’re not. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
"How?" I whispered, unable to tear my eyes away from this unsettling replica of my most personal space.
"I’ve been planning this for a long time," Lucas said, and I could hear the satisfaction in his voice. "After you left, I had your room photographed. Every detail cataloged. I wanted you to feel at home when you returned."
"This isn’t home," I said, my voice stronger now as the initial shock wore off. "This is... this is sick. You’ve built a shrine to someone who doesn’t exist anymore."
"You exist," he said, coming to stand behind me. "You’re just confused right now. Being with that half-breed has made you forget who you really are—who you’re meant to be."
I spun to face him, fury rising again. "His name is Kai, and he’s twice the Alpha you’ll ever be. He would never have to resort to kidnapping to—"
My words were cut off by Lucas’s hand covering my mouth. His eyes, , had darkened to almost black.
"Don’t say his name here," he growled, a hint of his wolf being in charge. "This is our space. He doesn’t exist here."
I glared at him over his hand, refusing to be intimidated. After a moment, he released me with a sigh.
"I don’t want to fight with you, Lily. I’ve missed you. All of this—" he gestured around the room, "—is because I want you to be happy here."
"Happy?" I echoed in disbelief. "You’ve kidnapped me, tied me up, threatened me, and isolated me from my pack and my mate. And you think a room that looks like mine will make me happy?"
Something like hurt flashed across his face, quickly replaced by determination. "You’ll see. In time, you’ll remember how good we were together. How good we could be."
He reached out and touched my cheek, and it took everything in me not to flinch away. Not because I was warming to him, but because I needed him to believe I might.
Because one thing was becoming clear—Lucas was unstable. Dangerous. And my best chance of escape would be to make him think I was coming around to his way of thinking.
"The bathroom is through there," he said, pointing to another door. "I’ve got clothes for you in the dresser. Get cleaned up, and we’ll have dinner." He smiled, a normal smile that didn’t match the madness of the situation. "We have a lot to catch up on."
As he turned to leave, I noticed a glint of metal at his waist—keys. My way out, if only I could get to them.
"Lucas," I called, making my voice softer. He turned, hope visible in his eyes. "Could you... could you untie me? I can’t exactly shower with bound hands."
He hesitated, studying my face. For a moment, I thought he might refuse, but then he pulled a knife from his pocket.
"Try anything," he warned as he approached me, "and you go back to the basement. Understood?"
I nodded, keeping my expression neutral as he cut through the ropes binding my wrists and ankles.
As he left the room, locking the door behind him, I rubbed my raw wrists and looked around at this twisted version of my past life. Tears threatened again, but I blinked them back.
I needed to be strong. I needed to be smart. And most of all, I needed to find a way to reach Kai and Celeste they must be worried especially, Kai...
Because somewhere out there, my mate was in as much danger as I was—and he didn’t even know it.
