Almighty Father System-Chapter 330: Reactions.
While Snow was coaxing Lily to sleep, Leo was standing before Matilda Luger who was running down the slope. He could see her, and she could see him. However, when she noticed that the gunfire behind her stopped, she froze. It dawned upon him that all this while she was running to save her life, Leo and his people were toying with her.
The flash of hope that she harbored in her eyes had now extinguished. She walked up to Leo and stood a few meters away from him. Her eyes were devoid of any emotion at this moment and she just stared at Leo blankly.
Her expression at this moment made him realize that people when in despair lose everything even the basic human emotions. She didn't even fear death at this moment, but since she couldn't make any move, she had made peace with the situation.
Leo said, "I have to commend you for coming to terms with the situation this quickly."
Matilda replied in an indifferent manner, "In my life, I never came to terms with anything that was against my will, but I knew that death could make one come to terms with anything, even if you are to humiliate me right now, I will not make a sound. Do what you want to."
Leo nodded and asked, "I intend to do what I want to, but tell me, why did you not teach your son to be any better? Why leave him to that fucker Socrates?"
Matilda let out a bitter chuckle and asked, "Do you think I wanted to do that? No mother, regardless of how cruel or cold they may be, would not leave their child behind."
Leo hummed and asked, "Then why did you leave him behind? Had you taken him with you, or had to swallowed your pride to stay low profile, Socrates might not have to leave you and this situation would not have come to this."
Matilda smiled bitterly and said, "Indeed, but whats done is done. I know that you will certainly not let me walk out of this place alive. I hope that you can do me one favor."
Leo raised his brow and asked, "What would that be?"
Matilda said, "When you deal with Bishop Primal, make sure the world sees how cruel he is."
Leo smiled and asked, "That is too much trust in an enemy, isn't it?"
Matilda shook her head and replied, "No, I trust your rage, I trust the fact that your second goal in life is to kill the people who harmed your family back then. Socrates is nothing but a gilded pawn raised by that old undying bastard in the Primal Family. Unless you take him down, nothing will stop."
Leo nodded and said, "I promise."
Then he raised his hand and offered her a gun, as he said, "I will leave you this much integrity, shoot yourself, because the hatred I have in my heart against you, I will not give you a quick death."
Matilda smiled bitterly, she didn't know that Leo would even refuse to put her down. She took the gun, and asked, "What if I try to aim at you?"
Leo shrugged at said, "I am fast enough to take it back and then torture you to death with delight. You can certainly try and then certainly die."
His words made Matilda chuckle, she raised the gun and pressed it against her temple, the struggle in her eyes and the wavering courage was evident. Leo watched it all, and even took a few steps back. He didn't want to be in the way of blood splatter. A few tears spilled from Matilda's eyes, she was scared to pull the trigger, but she had to do it anyway.
After a few deep breaths, she closed her eyes and squeezed the trigger.
Bang!
Following that Matilda fell on the ground and Markus arrived next to Leo, "Boss, what now?"
Leo said, "Handle it the way you want to, no splashes should come back to us."
Markus nodded and Leo turned around to walk away as he said, "I am going back home, and also have someone bribe that secretary in the Luger office, take back the copy of that agreement. Stuff the mouths with money and record it all, if anyone wishes to bark at us later, fuck them over."
Leo was tired, he had just killed forty odd men and wanted to get back home. Markus told the people to deal with this as he attended to Leo who went walked back to the base camp they have already established when they first came here. At the base of the mountain there was a small frozen pond, Leo walked over it and punched the thin ice with his fist before taking a bath in the freezing water, his rage had made his body heat up and he was also covered with blood.
Markus stored Leo's clothes away before they all regrouped and left. Markus called one of his reporter friends and then had him cover the story which was tagged as a skirmish between four groups and Matilda became the collateral who allegedly killed herself to run away from the clutches of the enemy.
…
Leo returned home and the system said, 'Ping: Punishment initiated, all attributes halved for a month.'
He felt his body weaken by a lot but he could not do anything about it. The young man looked around and found that only Momo and Claire were home. He asked the stewardess to cook some food, while he patted and scratched the kitty.
…
While Leo was waiting for his family to come back home, Socrates received the news, and he closed his eyes. The old man didn't yell around in rage, he calmly leaned back in his chair, his aura grew weak, it was as if he had aged significantly in just a few minutes. He looked at Stellar Primal, his estranged daughter, and asked, "Are you happy now?"
Stellar candidly said, "Thinking about the way you treated my mother back than because of Matilda Luger, indeed, I do find some karmic justification in this incident. However, what I feel does not matter. I only came here to give you the information and now that I am done, I am leaving."
Socrates sighed but he didn't say anything to prevent her from leaving. He knew that nothing he said could make Stellar changer her opinion, after all, she was just as stubborn as he was when it came to following his heart. He was overwhelmed with the sense of loss.
While he was experiencing loss, the Luger Family was shocked after all, Matilda was a pillar of their family, she had shot herself or at least that was what the world believed. The family head was so distressed that he even fainted when he heard this news.
He loved his daughter to the point where he even secretly made efforts to give her the power to control a lot of things, of course, that was because Matilda had proved her worth to the people of the family by bringing in success after success.
However, not everyone in the Luger family was upset, the example was Matilda's elder brother and younger brother. As soon as the news reached them, they began to rally their supporters and the tog of war for more power began.
Old Man Luger sat in his office, he looked outside the window, he didn't think that he would be able to locate the person who was behind all this, but he knew, the Luger family was now setting out on the journey of vanity and gradual destruction.
…
In the circle of business, the fact that Matilda Luger was killed also caught huge spotlight. Regardless of her reputation, she was a mighty renowned figure. Some prayed for her soul, and some narrated her achievements but there were also some who condemned her, saying that she deserved it.
…
In the evening when Lily and Snow came back home, the first thing they noticed was Leo, who was sleeping on the couch with Momo in his arms. Lily wanted to rush over, but suddenly Snow noticed something and said, "Lily go to your room. I need to talk to your Baba."
Lily was confused but she nodded. Snow approached Leo and sat down beside him. She touched his shoulder and Leo slowly opened his eyes. Snow asked, "Are you okay?"
Leo nodded with a soft smile and Snow asked worriedly, "How come you seem to be weak? Are you really okay? Do we need to go to the hospital?"
Leo shook his head and replied, "No, I am fine. Just tired by all the rushing around these past few days."
Snow sighed and patted his shoulder and replied, "Fine, take rest at home now. Don't go out."
Leo nodded and asked, "Where did you go?"
Snow smiled and said, "Your daughter wanted to see what kind of baby products are we going to get for the nursery."
Leo chuckled and said, "Well, this month, how about I stay home and prepare the nursery myself?"
Snow nodded as she leaned her head on his shoulder before she said, "Thank god you are back."
