Almighty Father System-Chapter 329: Daddy Is Death God.

Leo left Matilda on her own, and spoke in the comms, "I will handle all the men below, just torment that woman for me. I want her to know despair like nothing before."

That was it, then he dashed through the snow at the highest speed. He had one gun and three magazines with him and since he had already decided that the people who came to aid Matilda were going to die, then just shooting their heads would suffice. It was not overconfidence, it was just how high his skill level was.

Leo ran on the snowy plain, leaving a gust of wind in his wake, stirring up the snow behind him, as if a streak was passing through the place. From time to time, he located the enemy and without going close to them, he shot them all from a safe distance but dead-on accuracy.

His actions were precise, and when Markus monitored the situation with a drone they had confiscated, he sighed and said, "Shamal, take two people and clean it all up. Leave no traces and douse these guys with the fuel from their cars. Burn them all and make sure to turn them to dust. Nothing should trace back to us. Also, take their identification documents with you if they have any and click a picture for the database."

Shamal nodded and then he dashed down the slope with two people. Someone asked, "Boss, isn't this a bit too ferocious?"

Markus sighed and turned to look at his men and said, "Did you hear about the blood eagle massacre?"

They were stunned and nodded, as Markus said, "That was President's idea. Now what do you think killing a few remnant mercenaries in the middle of nowhere means for him?"

The people were shocked and Markus said, "Don't worry, you will understand everything later. Now, get going, locate that woman and make her understand what despair is."

The people split up, although the slanting slopes didn't have much cover but the wind has picked up pace and the snow was making it difficult for them to move. In such conditions, they were to locate someone and to torture them with various tactics, it was not as easy as it seemed to be.

While Leo was rushing around the slopes taking people down layer by layer, Red Sparrow and Trip were tracking Matilda, who being as shrewd as a fox, managed her way to the lower reaches of the mountain where she found a lot of pine trees to hide and move around.

Suddenly, Matilda heard a voice, "You are fussing too much Trip. How can she survive? Her men are all done for, and she has no survival skill. Just because she has a gun you cannot fear her."

The voice belonged to a female, and it was followed by a man, "I don't fear her, but I was thinking, if she is alive, how about we make some money from her? I heard she is very rich."

Red Sparrow asked, "What do you mean?"

Trip replied, "We can lead her to the summit, and leave her track marks on the ground. Then we will hide her and tell President Cardinal that she fell down from the peak. With no body to confirm, he will let it go and then we can ask this woman for money."

Red Sparrow chuckled and said, "If only fantasy could become reality, do you want to die at Boss's hand that bad?"

Followed by this was a calm discussion where Trip tried to persuade Red Sparrow to try and save Matilda. During this time they have been using the thermal scope to scout for her, and purposefully made her think that they were in doubt to save her or not, and after five minutes, as they moved closer to Matilda, Red Sparrow finally said, "Why do you think she would pay you any money? What if you save her and later she reneges on her word? Also, before any of that, why would she even trust you?"

Her words left Trip speechless, and just then Matilda peeked from behind a tree and aimed at them. The two caught her movements and raised their guns ready to take her down but then the lady said, "I am willing to pay you five times what you are going to get from Cardinal. Just bring me to safety."

Trip narrowed his eyes and asked, "Are you really going to give us that much?"

Matilda nodded, and Red Sparrow asked, "What if you are bluffing us? What if you send your people after us when we are done saving you?"

The blonde on the otherside shook her head and said, "No, I will not abandon you. I swear, just get me out of here."

The two people exchanged a small glance and Trip said, "I have a proper method to make sure that you will pay us."

Matilda looked at him in askance, and at that moment, Red Sparrow squeezed the trigger, a bullet shot through. Since the gun was suppressed only a minimal sound was generated, and the bullet hit Matilda's right wrist, before she could even realize what happened, her grip loosened and the gun fell onto the ground.

Matilda gasped from pain, and Trip rushed over to collect the weapon before he pointed his gun at her. The hope of survival was doused with the splash of blood. She looked at Red Sparrow and Trip wishing to kill them, but behind the rage hid despair.

At this moment, the sound of footsteps echoed through the surroundings, as Markus and his team arrived. The latter looked at Matilda and said, "Are you two intending to kill her? Idiots, let us run, the boss is injured one of the guards from her side managed to hit him with a bullet. I have sent some men to cover him and bring him down, leave her for now, we need to secure the boss."

As he said this, he kicked the lady on the ground and let out a frustrated yell before leaving in a rush. These things were all decided on the moment, and since they wanted to torture Matilda, they gave her a sliver of hope that she might survive this ordeal. Markus led the others away, and Matilda was sitting on the cold ground with her head spinning.

She had been living in this hell hole for the past week, but now, just when she found a chance to leave, she was betrayed and humiliated again. Although she heard that Leo was shot, she was also shot, her hand was still bleeding. Matilda Luger was still a survivor and ruthless woman, she took a deep breath, the pain in her hand prevented her from fainting and also helped her regain some of her clarity.

Thinking about this, she shoved her hand inside the cold snow under her. The cold from the snow gradually numbed her hand, this coagulated the blood and stopped the bleeding. Then she took her hand out and tied a piece of clothing to tie the wound up.

Just then she raised her head and stood up from the ground, albeit fumbling. Then she moved through the trees heading down towards the foot of the mountain. That was where her cars were parked.

She regretted the chance to pick up the satellite phone earlier in panic, and now with the exhaustion she felt, it was not possible for her to trek back up. After Markus and his people left, her body was stationary for a few minutes and the silence contributed to her calming down. This caused her movements to slow down and the adrenaline inside her body also reduced.

Just when she thought she was going to live, a sharp sound echoed followed by the tree trunks splintering as bullets hit them, followed by a loud shout, "There she is, but I missed her!"

Another voice echoed, "Stop her from reaching the foot of the mountain! Her men are all gathered there."

The bullets followed and Matilda thinking that her men were really at the foot of the mountain rushed with all her might. She was so scared at the moment that her face was pale but her desire to live pushed her to run under the gunfire.

Lily was laying down with Snow, the latter hugged her gently on the side and asked, "What happened, why did you get so scared?"

Anastasia watched from the side, but stayed silent, a few minutes ago, Lily came over to them and she just hugged Snow silently, however, her face was indicating that she had something to say, Snow coaxed the little girl and asked softly, "Baby, what is it that bothers you? Did you have a nightmare? Want to sleep here?"

Lily shook her head and said, "I had a dream. I am not sure if it was a good one or bad one."

Snow asked, "Oh, tell me about it?"

Lily sighed and said, "I saw Baba sitting behind a table and a designation plate was placed there, saying, 'The god of death.' Is that a good thing or bad?"

Snow sighed, and she exchanged a gaze with her mother, she said, "I have no idea what to say, my love. Are you afraid of Baba?"

This was what she feared, but Lily shook her head and said, "Baba is my Baba, even if he is a god of death, he will not punish the good and innocent."

Snow sighed and then said, "Good, now sleep with Ma tonight."
