Almighty Father System-Chapter 292: Drawing The Line.
Leo’s slap caused the table to crumble, and he said while looking at the man with golden hair and black eyes, "You must be from the Ibex family, right?"
The man nodded and Leo said, "I know what you and your family does. I appreciate your elders, but that is all, if you people think that you can walk all over me, then you are being foolish to the limit. I made it clear, the merit points I earn will remain mine. If anyone tries to force me into a corner, I will erase them, thoroughly. I am sure that you have looked into my background and so, you should know what I can do."
His words caused the people to fall silent, they didn’t expect such a thing from this young man. They understood that it was not his high status, but his determination to protect his family from anyone that may possess a threat. This was something that made Leo a psycho whom they should only mess with when they were ready to bet a few things close to them.
Harley looked around and saw that the people had all simmered down, so he said, "Well, I have a suggestion for you all."
The people looked at him, and Harley said, "You can set up a trading relation with him and earn a lot of money, that way you would have the capital you need to keep things going on and keep earning merit."
His words caused everyone to raise their brows, and Leo said, "I have a few products that I can delegate for you all to market and earn some profit, but that is all. I am an individual, and unlike you all, I don’t have a huge clout of elders dancing on my head for silly things like this.
One way to accumulate power is to become stronger, or accumulate slowly. If you divide your power or the resources with the other people, you will not bring the best out of them. So think and then decide."
One of the four ladies replied, "I heard that you have developed a few medicinal formulas for the military."
Leo nodded, he didn’t hide anything. After a few moments, the young lady asked, "If I provide you with the herbs or the material that you need for the production, what would you offer me in return."
Leo raised his brow and replied, "We can work up a profit split based on the amount of material you provide."
The young lady thought and nodded, "I will have my team contact you."
Gradually everyone discussed the few ideas to gain some sort of contact with Leo. Only Raymond Saig, and the man from the Ibex family were left. Leo suddenly looked at the two of them and said, "If you two want something, then I have an idea."
The two men looked at him skeptically, and Leo said, "We are gathered here as businessmen and businesswomen. In the field of business we don’t have an eternal ally nor do we have an eternal foe. However, what we do have to focus on is eternal benefit. At this moment, I have just two enemies.
One is the Primal Family, and the second is Matilda Luger. They might not have a Sigil granted to them and one of them is even a foreigner, but the amount of connections they have is something that even you all, as Twelve Guardians cannot compare to, right?"
The people didn’t wish to agree but they had no other options, it was the ugly truth. The young man continued, "I wish to destroy them both, but while doing so, I want to have a defense around me that protects my family from anything that could harm them. That is all I want.
Saig and Ibex families are two of the biggest automobile manufacturers of the nation. I am willing to have you collaborate with the racing team I own. That way your companies will gain higher recognition in the world. This collaboration will channel some new capital in your companies as well.
Other than that, you can establish two airports and handle the commercial space flights that my company organizes. I have three pseudo-space crafts. Think about it, this is one of the best businesses that I have to offer at the moment. The nation is lagging when it comes to space exploration, if you also use the commercial model, it would contribute to the data stream that we all need. In the end, whoever is involved in businesses that contribute to the elevation of the nation will get merit points. So, why fight, we can all get the best out of things. What do you say?"
The two men looked at each other, they knew that Leo was taking a step back to attain peace with them. The two of them sighed and replied, "Fine, we will cooperate with you. However, you have been giving out all these things to us, what do you really want in return."
Leo replied, "I want to open a combined counter attack on Primal Family and Matilda Luger. If possible I would love to walk out and kill them all directly. However, it is not that easy. The laws and the rules of this society makes it harder for me to deal with them outright."
They could all sense the rage in his voice, it made them all subconsciously pray for the two people. Harley Aries said, "See, we are all looking out for merits to cement our position in the families and gain the handle on chain of commands, but still I hope that you all conduct things fairly."
Leo took a deep breath and replied, "I am not the one to stir up trouble, but I am not afraid of it either. I will be loyal to you and the business, if possible, would like to be friends with you all as well. However, if any of you cause me to suffer betrayal. I will make sure that I take back ten times more than what I get you. I am sure you all are the same."
The people nodded, they were all prideful people and it was beneath them to betray their allies. Right now, the interaction they had was a small conflict of communication, however, now that things have been sorted out, they had no problems.
The meeting progressed and the people discussed business collaborations in greater details, while Harley ordered some beer for everyone. The ladies frowned and one of them said, "Harley, you thug, why is it that whenever we have a business agreement you call for this horse piss?"
Harley chuckled and replied, "Well, Tamara, we cannot have wine all the time right? This is just a change of taste. Have a symbolizing sip in good spirits."
Tamara scrunched her nose and then she saw Leo raise his mug and said, "In the name of prosperity and merits!"
Harley chuckled and said, "Good one!"
He also raised his mug and everyone else followed as they began to drink. After a few minutes, they started talking about different things and how they knew each other. At this moment, Leo suddenly said, "How about we extend the network of our business a little further?"
The people looked at him and asked, "What do you have in mind?"
Leo replied, "I have a friend who is a master at stocks. His name is Elvin Rao. I wonder if any of you have heard of him."
Stefan Ibex raised his head and replied, "Hmmm, is this guy the elder son of the Rao family here in the Angkor City?"
Leo nodded and asked, "Have you heard of him?"
Stefan Ibex nodded and sighed as he leaned back in the chair, "It would be a miracle to not hear about him. This guy almost bankrupted one of my businesses a few years ago. All because my son commented on the internet that your friend was pulling a publicity stunt when he wrote an article on the investor forum about how the bubble of real estate. I lost several ten millions before I had my son apologize to him."
Leo smiled and replied, "That does sound like him. However, believe me, he is a good man. He can definitely multiply the capital if I leave it to him."
Stefan Ibex sighed and replied, "Well, if everyone is in on it, we can do something."
The rest of the people all came forward and decided to invest five million each from personal funds and they agreed to invest it through Elvin’s company. Leo wanted to give the man a call when his phone rang first and he found it was from Snow. He picked up the call, and asked, "Hello, love."
Lily’s voice sounded from the other side, "Baba, why didn’t you come to pick me up today?"
Leo smiled and replied, "I am in a meeting with a few uncles and aunties. They have brought lot of business to us."
Lily hummed and then she said, "Fine, but I am drawing a line, you cannot be late in the evening. I want to ask you something."
Leo smiled helplessly, because he saw that the people had an amused reaction as they looked at him. He said, "Yes, Your highness."
Lily made a small talk and then the call was disconnected. As soon as the call ended, the people erupted in laughter. Harley smiled and joked, "Your daughter has taken after you, Brother Leo. She is drawing lines like you do."
Leo chuckled and shook his head as they began to eat together.
