After Breaking Up, I Married the General-Chapter 81 - 80: Rush to the Frontline 2
"Then I will have to stay in your room for 2 days?" Ryzel asked.
"You can of course come with me, after the jumps you can always go out with me. I am sorry as we are going to be very busy this time, you won’t have the time to roam around this place, you can only go with me first or rest at my room," Layton Lewis said in an apologetic tone.
"Then, I will stay in your room first, but I want to make some potions. Is it okay to do some in your room?" Ryzel asked.
"Yes, you can make some potions in my room. I have a small office in my room, which I wasn’t using. You can use that as your lab for a moment," Layton Lewis said.
"Okay, then I have no problems staying in your room even if I stay there every day."
As long as there is a lab in the place he was staying at, Ryzel doesn’t care about other things very much. He could still make some potions so he wouldn’t even be bored while staying in just one place.
"You can start doing what you want after our space jump. You better rest first," Layton Lewis reminded.
"I know."
Ryzel knew that he couldn’t really handle the pressure of any space jumps even if it is just very near as his physique level is F which is very bad. So, it was indeed better for him to rest first.
Layton Lewis walked for a while until they reached his room in the innermost part of the battleship. They didn’t meet anyone as they were all preparing for the imminent war against Zergs.
When Layton Lewis opened his room and they entered, Ryzel saw that the room was gray again. Thankfully the room doesn’t give off an empty feeling. There were still some things that showed that a person has been living in the room for a long time.
"Where is your office in here?" Ryzel said while looking around without seeing the mini office Layton Lewis mentioned.
Layton Lewis went in front of the mirror and pressed one of the sides of the mirror and it opened.
The mini office contained a table and a chair and some papers in it. It just shows how it wasn’t used often.
It would really be okay to turn it into his personal laboratory in the meantime as it has enough space for it to be considered as a temporary laboratory.
Ryzel was already satisfied with the place as it would only be his temporary laboratory. Layton Lewis would surely arrange a proper place to be his laboratory in the future.
"This is a good place. I can indeed set up my temporary laboratory here."
Layton Lewis collected the papers on the table and said, "It’s good that you like it. Then, I will leave you here, you can use anything in my room, and you can also do your potions, but Ryzel be sure to rest first."
Layton Lewis then kissed his forehead before going out.
It seemed that he was really in a hurry as he didn’t even bother looking back and hurried out of the room.
As the general of the ninth army, he should be busy arranging and coordinating personnel as the area they are responsible for was invaded by a large number of Zergs.
He knew that the area the ninth army was responsible for was at the very forefront of the federations defense lines if they can’t persist it means that the pressure on the other armies especially to those that were next to them would have a very hard time.
The timing of the large-scale attack was really bad, it just so happens that Layton Lewis was still at the Capital Star.
According to the information online, Layton at least had 10 lieutenant generals under him, he already saw four of them at the wedding ceremony meaning the frontlines only had half of their troops.
The ninth army only has half of their troops, and they would be facing a lot of Zergs on their own first.
So, Layton Lewis was rushing to the frontlines as it is a big loss without their original numbers when facing such a large number of Zergs.
With the large number of Zergs they would surely need a lot of mental stabilization potions and soothing potions. So, Ryzel decided to make a lot of stabilization potions and soothing potions.
He also decided to make replenishing potions for the guides that were already performing their duties on the frontlines.
He already got permission from his professors that he could continue making potions and Layton Lewis as the general of the army also already agreed.
After Layton Lewis left Ryzel looked around the room a bit before laying on the bed.
Layton Lewis already said that they would have a space jump in a few minutes, so he needed to rest first. His body can’t really resist the pressure of the space jump as his physique level is only F.
The battleship already has a protective cover around it allowing it not to be crushed by the pressure when doing a space jump. However, even with the protective cover, the pressure could still be felt but weaker.
Those who have a high-level physique don’t need to be worried about it as they wouldn’t be affected by the pressure but those who have weaker physiques can’t stand it.
Ryzel stayed on the bed and planned to rest for a while as Layton Lewis suggested. He hadn’t slept for long before getting disturbed because of the emergency alarm on Layton Lewis so he needed to sleep for a few more hours before he could start making some potions.
After waking up Ryzel checked the time to see how long he was asleep. It seems that he slept for 3 hours, which was already good enough.
With enough sleep he could finally have the energy to start making potions. He wanted to start preparing a stabilizing potion first as he was the most familiar with it.
He hasn’t made any potions for the past few days, so he wanted to do something he was already very familiar with as he doesn’t want to waste any material for a slight error or to make the potion have a lower quality.
He was always making a lot of stabilizing potions since the start of school as it was the first potion to be taught to guides. It was very necessary for sentinels, that was why it was always one of the first potions to be taught together with soothing potions.
Starting from the very first time he made a stabilizing potion he had continuously been making it for the past four years. He also studied how to make a more effective stabilizing potion by adding some herbs in it which raised the effect of the stabilizing potion.
His professors and other people praised him for improving the stabilizing potion.
There were already a lot of improvements being made by different guides for different potions, especially the stabilizing potion as it was the most common potions they were always making.
His improvement on the potion was still considered significant as he used more common materials as a substitute for other materials in the potions.
With his successful substitution it lessens the costs of making the stabilizing potions and as it is more effective a lot of guides followed his formula after testing its effect.
To make a more effective stabilizing potion he studied the potion in depth many times over before he found how to raise its effectiveness when adding certain herbs in it.
After preparing the necessary materials Ryzel started making stabilizing potions in his temporary laboratory.
In just 2 hours he had already made at least 20 bottles of high-quality stabilizing potion which was impossible for others as they could at most prepare only 10 bottles or 5 bottles.
It is more difficult to make a high-quality stabilizing potion compared to the regular stabilizing potions because it costumes more mental power.
For others they could only make a few bottles at a time because the consumption of mental power is very high.
That’s also the reason why he always wanted to do potions when he was alone because when he was in front of others, he needed to act like them, making only a few bottles so that he wouldn’t stand out.
After knowing that his mental power was actually 2S he could finally understand why his classmates were slower than him when making potions when both of them are already high-level guides.
While he was resting a bit after checking all the potions, he had been making he heard a knock from the door.
It seems that Layton Lewis was back as he was the only one that could enter his room and knock.
Sure enough, as soon as he opened the door, he saw Layton Lewis looking at himself.
"Ryzel, let’s go and have some breakfast first. If you are making some potions, stop it first. It’s already morning, you need to eat already," Layton Lewis said.
