After Breaking Up, I Married the General-Chapter 80 - 79: Rush to the Frontline
Ryzel still hasn’t removed the large numbers of potions in his space bracelet so of course his space bracelet was still full.
"I still have 3 space bracelets in my office. You can use all of them. Wait a bit, I will get them for you," Layton Lewis said and went to his office to get the space bracelets.
Without even waiting for a minute, Layton Lewis returned with 3 space bracelets in his hand.
"Here, you can pack all the things you want," Layton Lewis said while giving the space bracelets to him.
"Okay, I’ll pack as fast as I can. I know you must be busy so you can continue doing your work," Ryzel said. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
He understood that Layton needed to have a meeting with other people because of the emergency so he didn’t bother him any longer.
Ryzel looked at the 3 space bracelets in his hands and saw how that they were at least twenty meters wide.
Seeing how wide the space inside the bracelets he knew he can’t use all of it.
One space bracelet is already enough to fit all the things they have.
Ryzel packed most of his clothes and only left some clothes he could wear if he goes back to the capital star.
Anyway, he could order a lot more, so it wasn’t a problem to have only a few clothes here in the capital star. He also packed most of the clothes he bought for Layton Lewis.
After packing clothes, he went down to his personal laboratory and packed most of the things in it, leaving the big equipment that wasn’t necessary for making potions.
He also packed all the readied herbs and other ingredients in the laboratory.
Ryzel knew that once he was at the spaceship he needed to continue making potions because potions are always needed when there is war.
He knew that the military has a lot of supplies, but potions are never enough as they are consumed easily.
As soon as he finished packing, he also changed his clothes and sat beside Layton Lewis who was still busy talking to someone else.
After a few minutes Layton Lewis finished the call and also went to change his clothes.
Ryzel looked at Layton Lewis who came out of the bathroom wearing his military uniform.
Wearing a military uniform really enhances Layton Lewis handsomeness. His concealed aura was also brought out after wearing a military uniform.
"Ryzel, did you pack the healing cabin?"
"No I didn’t, I thought there was already a healing cabin in your army," Ryzel said.
"Yes we have a lot but most of them are for sentinels so it is better to have your personal healing cabin."
"Ok, then, I will put it in the space bracelet," Ryzel said.
It is indeed better to have a personal healing cabin so he could put it in their room. He could also use it without minding others who might need to use them.
After putting the healing cabin in a space bracelet Layton Lewis asked, "Are you done packing all the things you needed?"
"Yes, I packed them all."
"Then, let’s go."
Ryzel nodded. He knew that they needed to act fast as they needed to rush to the frontlines, so he didn’t say anything further and just started going out of the house.
"What are we going to use to get to your spaceship?" Ryzel inquired, as it had already been 35 minutes and they only had 25 minutes until the departure time that Layton Lewis had set.
Using a spacecraft would take at least 40 minutes before they could reach the spaceship park on the space station beside the capital star. So, Ryzel asked to see what they were going to do to reach their destination on time.
"We are going to use my mecha going there," Layton Lewis answered.
"Really?" Ryzel asked excitedly.
Ryzel has always wanted to fly using a mecha but unfortunately his physique was very low.
So, knowing that they are going to use Layton Lewis mecha makes Ryzel excited.
Even if he wasn’t the one driving, he would still experience how a mecha moves so he was excited for a bit.
"Yes, it would be faster to get to the space station using a mecha," Layton Lewis confirmed.
Layton Lewis let out his mecha and left it suspended outside. Ryzel has already seen Layton Lewis’ mecha, but he can’t help but admire it again. The momentum it gives out is incomparable.
Layton Lewis hugged him and jumped up to Storm’s cockpit. He really envied the sentinels’ physiques; they could just jump up high as if it was nothing.
It is not actually just sentinels who could do it. As long as they have at least a level C physique they can just jump up to 7 meters as if it was nothing.
Anyway, as someone who only had an F level physique, he was still envious of them.
As soon as they entered the cockpit, Layton Lewis sat down on the chair and put Ryzel on his lap.
"Sit with me first as my mecha doesn’t have another seat," Layton Lewis said as he embraced Ryzel for him not to be jolted around.
Ryzel didn’t care about being jolted at all, but he was focused on how Layton Lewis controlled the mech.
He only saw Layton Lewis pressed a few keys within the mecha and Storm was already flying on its own.
"Don’t you need to control Storm," Ryzel asked.
"No need. Storm has his own thinking capability so as long as you gave the initial command he could do the basic driving.
Of course, it would be different if we are talking about the battlefield. I will need to be fully in sync with Storm when we are in a battlefield," Layton Lewis explained.
"I see," Ryzel said with a bit disappointment. He thought he could finally see how mechas are controlled but unfortunately it is a flight to space was just very simple for Layton Lewis and his mecha Storm.
Sensing his disappointment Layton Lewis said, "Don’t worry, after your physique improve, I will personally teach you how to drive a mech."
"Really? Do you still have time to teach me afterwards?" Ryzel.
With how excellent Layton Lewis was in controlling his mecha it is indeed great to have him as a coach, but he also knew that he was very busy.
"Yes, of course. If there is no emergency just like this time, I still have time to teach you personally."
"Okay, I’ll wait for you to teach me later on."
As he already knew that he wouldn’t be able to see Layton Lewis controlling Storm he set his sight outside. He saw how the land scenery was rapidly decreasing as they were going up to the atmosphere.
Without the obstruction of the Capital Star guards they arrived at the space station in 20 minutes.
As soon as they reached space Ryzel finally saw the space station at the side of the Capital Star planet. Different spaceships were parked in it and the most conspicuous of them all were the mother ships hovering around the space station.
One of those motherships is the main battleship of the ninth army.
The battleship of Layton Lewis has a logo of lighting so at the beginning of
Layton Lewis leading the ninth army their army was often called the Lightning Army instead of the ninth army.
The people who didn’t know who the battleship belonged to just named them the lightning army as it was the most conspicuous logo in the battleship.
Layton led his mecha to enter the battleship as soon as the battleship’s entrance was opened.
As soon as they entered the battleship Ryzel saw that the soldiers were all busy preparing for their departure. A lot of supplies were being transported from the outside and going to different places.
Layton Lewis opened the cockpit and jumped down the mecha while holding Ryzel in his embrace.
Layton Lewis didn’t even let him down and still carried him.
"I’ll let you stay in my room first, as we are going to start a space jump as soon as we are ready.
Your body can’t bear the pressure from the jump so stay in my room first.
I will raise the protective layer in my room to resist the space jumps pressure. You can just rest first as you didn’t even have time to sleep properly," Layton Lewis said.
"Okay," Ryzel agreed.
Ryzel knew that with his physique he couldn’t survive space jumps.
Every space jump lessens the distance to at least 3 light years away as long as they have enough energy for the jump.
"How many space jumps are we going to have, before arriving at the frontlines?" Ryzel asked.
We need to do at least 3 space jumps, after the space jumps in this hour we need to have another space jump after 8 hours," Layton Lewis said.
