Accidentally Yours, Mr. Stranger-Chapter 80: Shedding formalities
Chapter 80: Shedding formalities
Everybody was ready by 6 and was waiting in the living room. Frank and Agnes had taken the day off, not wishing to interfere in the youngster’s party.
Kyrell’s gaze kept darting towards the stairs as he waited for Sienna. His heart was pounding madly, and he couldn’t concentrate on the conversation happening around him. Everything bounced off his head, his thoughts focused on the woman who was yet to arrive.
Xavier smiled to himself when he saw Kyrell’s obvious lack of attention. Moving discreetly to his side, he nudged his friend, who instantly jolted out of his reverie.
"Lover boy, can’t wait for your sweetheart?" He wiggled his brows teasingly, and Kyrell sighed softly, running his thumb on his forehead.
"Why don’t you go and escort her down?" Xavier suggested, raising his hands questioningly.
Kyrell had thought of it too. He had long wanted to go up and look for Sienna himself. But their relationship had just begun, and he feared his actions would disgust her. What if he appeared pushy? Would she hate him for it?
"What if she doesn’t want me to? I don’t want to push her away," Kyrell admitted, keeping his voice low.
’He has a point,’ Xavier thought. Kyrell and Sienna’s relationship was still fragile. Sienna, being a headstrong lady, might not like it if Kyrell were overly zealous and assertive.
"Why don’t you talk to Miss Lawrence about it?" he asked, his tone turning serious immediately.
"About what?" Kyrell’s brows knitted into a questioning frown.
"About what she expects in the relationship. If she wants to take it slow and steady, or if she doesn’t mind you being more proactive and bold."
Kyrell’s lips twisted as he thought about it. They hadn’t discussed anything along those lines. Their focus had been on obtaining a marriage certificate and getting to know each other first. They never spoke about boundaries and limits.
Xavier patted his shoulders and smiled faintly. "You should have a good talk with her later. You should establish the boundaries before either of you fuck up big time."
Kyrell nodded, agreeing with him on this. He was fine with anything Sienna wanted. He was already delighted and grateful that he was marrying the woman he liked. He didn’t want anything else. So, everything depended on Sienna.
Xavier nudged him again, and Kyrell looked at him questioningly. His gaze followed Xavier’s, and he noticed Sienna walking down the stairs. Her face was coated with a thin layer of makeup, and her enchanting lips, pink and lustrous. She was wearing a blue spaghetti top and black high-waisted jeans.
Kyrell had never seen her in casual clothes. She had always been dressed in business attire or her pajamas. Although there had been a few pictures of her in gowns, he preferred her this way. Sienna looked more casual and approachable, and his lips curled up in a doting smile.
Sienna raised her head when she sensed a gaze on her. When she saw who it belonged to, she smiled at him, her eyes sparkling brighter than the stars. And that smile took Kyrell’s breath away.
Sienna had always been gorgeous. But at that moment, she looked so enchanting that his heart went out of control. Her smile could kill, and he was ready to die a happy man.
Meanwhile, Sienna also checked out the man before her and whistled softly. ’Look at him all sexy and dapper. Does he want to kill me?’ she thought, running her eyes over him.
Kyrell was no longer wearing his black suit. Instead, he had settled for black jeans, a white shirt, and a leather jacket. The attire made him look more handsome and less serious, and with his unruly waves falling over his forehead, he looked roguish and deadly.
Sienna’s heart was struck, and she couldn’t move her eyes away from him for quite some time. ’I’m going to die tonight,’ she thought, making her way towards him. freёnovelkiss.com
Clearing her throat to distract herself, she turned towards the others who had gone silent for quite some time. "Is everyone here?"
"Yes, Miss Lawrence. Shall we leave?" Amy replied.
Sienna nodded and glanced at Kyrell again, who was staring at her intensely. Her heart skipped and beat, and she averted her gaze.
"Miss Lawrence, we are ten. So you and Kyrell will take one car and the eight of us will take two cars," Xavier said, giving Isaac a cryptic look. He had made plans already.
See, I’m a wonderful friend. I thought about everything for you, Ky. Don’t forget my sacrifice when the time comes.
Sienna had no qualms with the arrangements and nodded again.
While Sienna and Kyrell walked in the front, the others remained behind, discussing other things. Nobody, except Xavier, noticed the sparks between the two.
Kyrell opened the back door for her as usual. But Sienna shook her head and took the passenger seat, much to his surprise.
’Well, that was unexpected,’ he thought. He was just about to go around to his seat when Xavier pulled him away for a quick chat.
"It’s the perfect time now. Have a good chat with Miss Lawrence and make everything clear."
Kyrell nodded, flashing him a thankful smile.
"And don’t forget to make me your best man on the day of your wedding."
Kyrell smiled helplessly. Sienna and he had only discussed getting a marriage certificate. They had never talked about a wedding. So, he didn’t know if it was on the agenda. However, he didn’t burst Xavier’s bubble, allowing the man to think whatever he wanted.
"Are you done now? May I go?"
"See, I knew it. I knew you’d disregard your friends now that you have your woman. Friendship holds no value over love."
Kyrell just rolled his eyes and put him on the curb, leaving a fuming Xavier to stare at his back.
"Is everything alright?" Sienna asked once Kyrell buckled his seat belt.
"Yes, Miss Lawrence. Don’t worry. It’s not important."
"By the way," Sienna started while Kyrell started the car. "Why are you still formal with me?"
"What do you mean?" Kyrell glanced at her before driving out of the villa while the two cars followed closely.
"We’ll be getting our marriage certificate soon. We can’t be too formal with each other, can we? Why don’t you start calling me by my name?"
Kyrell quirked his brows, surprised by her suggestion.
"Then, Miss Lawrence, why don’t you start first?"
Except for that one time when she had broken down after waking up at the hospital, she hadn’t called him by his name.
"Fair enough, Kyrell."
"Thank you, Sienna."
"Where are we going by the way?" Kyrell asked, sounding less formal.
"There’s a multi-cuisine restaurant on Columbus Avenue. You guys will like it."
Kyrell hummed softly while he added the restaurant to the GPS. It was less than 4 miles.
"By the way, Miss Lawrence..." Kyrell stopped himself when he saw Sienna’s gaze. "I mean, Sienna. Sorry, it’ll take a while to change."
"No problem."
"Will you be moving back to the Lawrence Estate?"
"Yes. Even though there are quite a few dark memories related to it, it’s still my home. Let’s move back on the day we get married, alright?"
"Okay. Whatever you wish, Sienna."
