Chapter 336: 336 trade

[Margaret’s Perspective]

I furrowed my brows slowly upon hearing his words, just as I was about to say something more to Donald, the situation on the field suddenly changed again!

"Levi, stop! Mr. Gino is an indispensable partner of ours, how can you treat him like this? Have your men put their guns away now!"

Donald and I were all too familiar with this abrupt voice, which belonged to the very person we had long been trying to capture, the leader of the Rebels who had escaped the Royal City not long ago and the traitor of the Wolf royal family — Henry!

This unforgivable traitor had finally appeared. A flash of light crossed my eyes, and I instinctively glanced at Donald beside me, "Shall we make our move now? He doesn’t seem to have brought many people with him!"

Donald’s gaze was icy and sharp, like poison darts fixed on Henry, and beyond that, he was far steadier than me, "He hasn’t noticed us here, let’s wait and see. I want to know what other plans he has up his sleeve."

I admitted Donald was better at keeping his composure than I was, and I understood why he chose to do so. Struggling to suppress the rage in my chest, I continued to observe Henry and Levi downstairs.

In the rebellion in the Royal City, we lost many of our outstanding Lycans, including Donald’s patrol captain, David. And all these blood debts were to be accounted for on Henry’s head; he couldn’t escape!

"Gino, don’t be angry, hasn’t Levi always been like this? I know all about the small fights you two have around the Lilo Sea. Today, we have something big to do. Can you two be a little calmer?" Henry said as he leisurely stood up from his wheelchair.

He looked around with a smile on his lips, seemingly very pleased with the surprised gazes directed at him.

"How, how is this possible? Wasn’t he just a crippled and powerless prince? Why is he able to stand up again now?"

"So the news that’s been spreading around is all true! MASTER has invented a Divine Medicine that can restore disabled werewolves to normal, and he himself has used it to create an army of unparalleled bravery. All these are true!"

"Good heavens! I heard about it before but didn’t dare to believe it was true. The ’Rebirth’ actually exists!"

"If Henry would sell me the formula for this potion, wouldn’t I make a fortune? This is worth so much more than regular pharmaceuticals; it’s a miracle!"

I always knew that merchants and officials were profit-driven, but I hadn’t expected Henry to cause such a sensation and evoke such greed by merely showcasing a bit of his power in front of them!

’Rebirth’ wasn’t any miraculous medicine at all; it was more like an evil key that could unlock the great gate of greed in people’s hearts — exactly the scenario Donald and I least wanted to see.

With his stance solidified, Henry paced back and forth under the scrutinizing eyes of the crowd, his mouth hanging with an apparently gentle and friendly smile, "Since everyone is dissatisfied with the first auction item, let’s move directly to the last and most treasured piece, shall we, ladies and gentlemen?"

A slight restlessness began in the room, and Donald and I exchanged a tacit glance, knowing the situation was dire.

"I am a person who very much enjoys making friends, something Levi can testify to. All the distinguished guests here today can be my, Henry’s, good friends. If you are willing to stand with me now, to rebel against this corrupt and deceitful dynasty, then I am willing to offer ’Rebirth’ unconditionally, to benefit and transform all werewolves who have suffered injustice and adversity!"

"Of course, those here have the right to choose first. If you are now willing to willingly call me king, then this miraculous medicine can be yours!"

Henry was always skilled at stirring people’s hearts; he raised his hands as if he was already that supreme monarch.

He gestured for Levi to put down the firearms, then turned with a smile and looked up to Gino on the second floor, declaring loudly, "Mr. Gino, I know your gang includes many brothers who are disabled due to injuries. If you wish, I can offer you fifty doses of Divine Medicine free of charge to help your brothers regain their healthy bodies! It’s a most worthwhile deal, take some time to consider it."

Gino, addressed by Henry, fell silent for several seconds. Just when Donald and I were sensing an ominous turn, he began to ask in a deep voice, "How can I be sure you’re not just bluffing? If your concoctions are really that miraculous, then why did you lose to Donald in the Royal City?"

"I heard that besides ’Rebirth,’ you also have a special Recovery Potion, that anyone who still has a breath can be pulled back from death’s clutches. Is that true?"

Seeming to find Gino’s question amusing, Henry’s expression took on a playful look. He let his hands fall and responded with feigned helplessness, "I didn’t expect that the news, which was strictly blockaded by the Royal City, would spread so quickly in the Lilo Sea. I have indeed underestimated everyone present here."
