Chapter 235: Anesthesia gun

[Margaret’s POV]

The raindrops, as large as beans, fell from the sky for free, causing some pain when they struck the body. The rain, accompanied by a chilly wind blowing through the canyon from who knows where, uncontrollably started to make everyone shiver with cold.

I looked at the fierce beast encircled by Louis and several Lycans in the middle, and whispered to Benjamin beside me, "You should go back to the car first. If you see anything wrong, just drive off without worrying about us."

At that moment, Benjamin’s nerves must have been extremely tense because after I finished speaking, he just stared at me blankly for a moment before finally snapping back to reality, "What did you say? No! I would never leave any member of the Guard Team behind, especially not the Lycan Queen!"

As he spoke, he turned his attention back to the nearby battle, but continued to add, "Louis and his team are very experienced in combat, it’s not certain they will lose to this beast. I still have some tranquilizer guns that can be used here to help them."

"Rather, the Lycan Queen should get back to the vehicle quickly. The situation is too dangerous now. You can’t stay outside any longer; you should be like Elliot and stay inside the RV without coming out! Please go back, we’ve got this!"

Benjamin had already pulled something out from the bag on his body after he finished speaking. It must be the tranquilizer gun he mentioned.

The battle ahead of us had officially begun. Louis charged directly at the beast, letting out a chilling howl from his throat, trying to overpower the beast with his presence and make the beast wary of us.

Benjamin and I looked over at the same time as Louis’s sharp wolf claws fiercely slashed across the beast’s neck. The beast let out a low painful cry, but showed no intention of retreating. The light in my eyes dimmed as I realized this was going to be a tough battle.

"Not good! Its skin is too thick and tough. Louis and the others can hardly inflict any major damage," Benjamin analyzed in a low growl through the rain.

Watching Louis smoothly dodge the beast’s claw, I let out a slight sigh of relief, looked back at Benjamin, and pointed at the object in his hand urgently said, "It looks like we’ll have to use that! We don’t have much time to wrestle with it, and, our people can’t afford to fall here either."

We probably can’t kill this tiger in a short time, but using a tranquilizer to bring it down is still a good strategy.

As I spoke, I wiped the rainwater off my face with my hand and made up my mind, "I have a plan. These beasts have strong combat and defense abilities, so we need to find a way to inject the tranquilizer where its skin is softest! But that seems like a difficult task..."

Benjamin should have understood the unfinished implication in my words by now.

Tigers are generally fierce and good at fighting. When they fight animals of the same size, there are few that can compete. But there is no truly flawless creature in the world—these beasts have their weaknesses too!

They are huge, with agile limbs, sharp claws, and teeth, but their bellies are extremely soft, and this is one of their innate flaws.

Of course, it’s also one of our weaknesses as werewolves. The reason Elliot was injured this badly this time is precisely because of this flaw!

"Roar!" 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

"Be careful! Get behind it!"

"Damn it! Why is its skin so thick?"

Louis and his team had been sparring with the tiger for several rounds, but still couldn’t injure it, which inevitably made everyone a bit anxious.

Hearing their conversation, Benjamin knew this wasn’t the time to hesitate. He clenched his teeth and urgently said to me, "I understand! You must take this tranquilizer gun. Louis, the rest of us, and I will draw its complete attention! This gun has three arrows loaded with tranquilizers, and you only have three chances."

After succinctly conveying his message, Benjamin handed me the tranquilizer gun. I had the same thoughts, so without any hesitation, I took it straight from his hand.

I couldn’t just abandon the Guard Team still fighting in the storm and run back to the vehicle to hide; something in my blood was calling me to join the fight!

Moreover, looking at the current situation, it’s not necessarily absolutely safe inside the RV.

Because while we were engaged in a fierce struggle with the tiger, the last car of the Guard Team’s convoy was suddenly hit by a giant rock falling from above the canyon, immediately wrecking the vehicle!

Fortunately, everyone was working in the storm at the time and no one was sitting in the vehicle, thus avoiding any casualties.
