365 Days To Love-Chapter 83 - EIGHTY-THREE: Ezekiel’s Consent.

"Oh you scared me!’’Avery exclaimed, holding her heart that was racing after walking inside to their dark room ,she turned the light to see her husband facing the window which made her jerked. She assumed he was some burglar but it was just him.

She wondered what he was thinking while facing the window,this was a habit he had with his dad,they usually do that whenever they were deep in thoughts which made her wonder if he knew she was back.

Today,made it exactly three days he had been avoiding her,even when they were asleep,he had his face turned to the other side just because of his decision to make Zaiden have his own decision on who to marry.

It was hurting to have the love of your life avoiding you,but this time she knew she made the right decision, everything was going to be okay after some days just like his dad had said.

She went after Grandpa after he left his breakfast this morning because of her,but sadly,the old man was worried about something else which he talked about with her,he was worried Nathan likes Hazel.

What a joke!

At First she didn’t talk him seriously and burst out laughing when he told her that but that was impossible,he wouldn’t dare to do that and besides,his mother, Sophia would skin him alive if she got to hear of this,she knew of Sophia’s hatred towards Hazel and that was enough for Nathan to stop if actually he has a thing for Hazel.

Hazel is his brother’s wife,the moment he gets to understand that,the better for him and his mother.

Surprisingly,she had wanted to talk to Grandpa about the children’s marriage due to the fact that everyone was affected about it,she wanted him to know that it may be a bad idea if she got married to a family that didn’t welcome her but grandpa was quick in shutting her up.

The old man was shocked that such words were coming from her after she was the one that brought her to the family in the first place. If she didn’t have much confidence towards her,why did she bring her?

She regretted bringing up the topic, because the old man got angrier at her for having little faith in the girl,but after listening to him,she got assured that the old man too was on her side,that was what made her calm down and felt relaxed over this marriage issue.

Talking about Ezekiel,he was still facing the window looking at the rainfall choosing not to send a glance her way,she ignored him too,she had a really stressful day today and wasn’t ready for him and his stubborn ass.

She sat on top of the bed,while she removed her heels,massaging her toes that were sore from walking all day.

"You are back?"Ezekiel asked, making her surprised,this was the first time since three days since they talked to each other,which made her wonder what happened to him,was he not angry anymore?

Figures,it’s raining,so he needs warmth tonight,but she’s going to give him a taste of his own medicine,nodding her head at the thought of the reason why he talked to her.

She ignored him,taking her blazer off but he was in front of her before she could stand up,she rolled her eyes at him but he was fast in taking the cloth from her.

"What do you want?"She asked in a really angry tone,no,she was more than angry at him,he’s changing and at a fast rate,she didn’t stop to imagine that he would think of not talking to her for a day talkmore of three good days.

"I’m sorry"He apologized,gazing into her angry orbs which melted the instant he apologized.

Avery knew something was wrong with him,he was behaving awkwardly,his apology sounded genuine but he wasn’t himself,if anything he was acting hurt.

Did something happen to him while she was absent?

"Why should I listen to you?",she retorted back,which made her feel bad for doing so after noticing his moody state.

Did he have a fight with Elijah?

No,he wasn’t one to feel bad whenever he had an argument with his brother,if anything,he always comes back into the room fuming with abger whenever he loses his shit.

He was only Like this whenever he did something wrong and was regretting it,but what did he do?

"Can we stop arguing,it’s been hard these last few days without talking to you?"He asked which made her scoff,she wanted to make him know how hurt she too had been but she had a change of mind to let it go for today,there were still other days for him to pay for what he did.

"What’s wrong?Did you have a fight with grandpa?"she asked the first question that came to her mind.

"Is that what usually comes to your mind whenever I’m like this?"

"For a matter of fact, yes,seeing as you haven’t been yourself for days because of Hazel ’’she crossed her arms.

"I consent to their marriage,let the kid’s get married"He finally told her,which made her think she didn’t hear him right.

"Are you for real?’’She asked, standing up this time with her eyes wide and mouth agape with happiness,she screamed when she saw him nod his head at her request.

"Thank you so much"she hugged him and kissed his jawline while he scratched his head,knowing that very soon she would ask the reason for his change of mind.

"Are you that happy?"

"Yes,very very happy,do you know how long I’ve been waiting for you to give them your blessings?"She asked releasing herself from him"finally,I can become a grandmother"she clapped her hands in glee while Ezekiel laughed hard at her statement.

They weren’t married yet and she’s already talking about her being a grandmother,she’s such a drama queen.

"But what made you change your mind?"just as he had predicted,she asked this time with suspecting eyes while waiting for his answer.

"I had a talk with Hazel today,and I figured out I was making a huge mistake, she’s a..."he paused for a while while looking up to Avery who was waiting to hear his statement with keen interest,she was totally whipped by Hazel."she’s a lovely lady and would make a good wife to Zaiden"

"See I told you,so never underestimate the power of Avery Knights’ ’she bragged to him,while he smiled at her,his gaze lingering on her for some time that she noticed it and knew the meaning behind it.

Just the perfect time for her revenge,just wait for it.

"What’s with that look?"She asked this time taking laws into her hands to make things hard for him by taking off her wrist watch,placing them on the table before tugging open the first three buttons of her shirt and saw him gulping down hard by what she was doing.

Her plan was working and in no time soon,he would beg for what she had to offer but she won’t give in that easily,he made her stay lonely fkr three good days because of his stubbornness.

"Can I get a hug it’s cold this evening?"He asked trying to hold himself from dragging her to him,he knew what she was doing but he had no choice here,the least he could do was beg,if only she’s willing to listen to him,but knowing who Avery was,she’s not going to make it easy for him after what he did to her.

"No"She refused,letting her top fall to the ground,her upper part was fully exposed to him and she was wearing his favourite bra,making him lose his reasoning and his control was wavering.

"Babe come on ’’He begged coming close to her but she rushed to the other side of the room laughing at his pleading face.

"Don’t touch me"she laughed running away from him but he went after her,she tried crossing over their bed but he held her back making her fall face down on the bed with him hovering on top of her,kissing her back"I will shout Ezekiel,get off"she half yelled but tried hiding the fact that she was loving this.

"At Least dad knows what his son is capable of doing,so don’t be so stubborn sweetheart,I know you want me as much as I do"he proudly said this time tickling her sides.

"Stop..s.top"she pleaded in between her laughter,and then she heard it,the distressed voice of someone shouting before the thunder sounded making the sound die down.

"Do you hear that?"She suddenly asked standing up and to the window,looking outside but it was dark everywhere. She couldn’t make out anything out of the darkness,but she’s sure she heard someone’s voice.

"Hear what?’’Ezekiel asked, walking up to her with a towel in his hand this time,she was behaving strangely while looking outside.

"I heard someone’s voice,it’s not just a normal voice,he sounded like he needed help"She said making Ezekiel wonder if she was losing it,the only sound was that of the rainfall,she might just be hallucinating or she heard wrong.

"It’s just the rain come on,I have set the water just the way you like it"He said assuring her it was just the rain and nothing else,he knew she won’t give up that easily whenever she has a hunch about something.

"Okay,I probably heard wrong"she admitted but she knew quite well what she heard,but decided to wave it off for now, turning back to her husband"Do you think just because you prepared a bath for me,you are forgiven?"

"What?it didn’t work"He asked disappointedly,his head hanging low, which she used that opportunity and gave him a kiss before running off to the bathroom.

"Silly woman"
