The confession started,he watched the way Elijah was trying so hard to hide the disappointment on his face. He was really mad at himself, for thinking that his dad was involved in his mother’s death.

His uncle was locked behind bars right now,and he should have also been there with him had it been Ezekeil didn’t save him.

His brother, Ezekiel.

Unlike him, there’s no way he could have gone out of his league to make sure he doesn’t end up the way his uncle was right now,if he was in Ezekeil’s position to do that.

Likewise his dad too,he’s all long been nothing but a liability and a headache towards the family, due to the fact that he was scared that one day his father would dispose of him like some trash.

That’s what caused all this.He was afraid that the old man would wake up suddenly, and sent him and his family off the street for being a halfie.

But right now,he was nothing but wrong in his assumption of what his father had instored for him.

It was like a slap to his face when he remembered the pains he caused them.He was so very ashamed to even look his dad into his eyes, as he told him the story behind his mother’s death.

"You had no right to think that i would change towards you, just because you weren’t born of the sane womb with your brother Eli,I’m not heartless to abandon my own blood"

The old man said,his heart hurt seeing that his son nearly destroyed himself and the life of his family members, because of some revenge that has nothing to do with him.

If there’s anyone that deserves to be angry, and annoyed that he was the son of that woman that killed his wife,it was him and Ezekeil.

Ezekeil knew that his mother killed his own mom,but he had not for once changed his attitude towards him or considered him less of his brother.

He knew that whatever his mom did had both to do with him,he was only a baby that was caught up in some shitty affair’s by his mother.

He was innocent.No one had any right to blame him for what his mother did,no one.

With the way he’s feeling guilty about what he did, grandpa knew that there’s no need telling him that his mother was responsible for the death of Ezekiel’s mother.

"I’m sorry father,"Elijah left the words out,his heart bled that his actions recently inauspiciously backfired on him and caused him nothing but deep regret for what he did.

Would he forgive him?

He was too ashamed to beg for his forgiveness,if anything the old man deserved to disown him for what he did.

He had planned on removing him from his seat, thereby making himself the new chairman of Knight’s Empire.

He had foolishly been deceived by his uncle, who had planned on a merger and acquisition for the company to strengthen both his company and that of Elijah.

He wasn’t anything like his father,if anything he’s more like him who wouldn’t relent in making him see reasons on why he has to leave.

His nephew wasn’t that soft hearted like his dad, coupled with the fact that he had treated his girl badly was also adding much more fire to the mountain.

But he’s willing to pay for his actions,he would gladly take any punishment they give him gladly.He deserved it.

But what about Nathan?

Then Sophia.

Sophia was another problem altogether, she’s sick and he knew that it’s going to be quite hard convincing her that they were not the enemy anymore.

She had dedicated everything,and had waited patiently to see Avery kneeling Infront of her while pleading she pardon them.

He couldn’t help but get worried about her right at this moment, Nathan had proven himself useless by leaving his sick mother to his villa without returning to the house anymore.

He spends more time at his villa,for reasons best known to him.Leaving his mother who could go psycho on anyone seeing that there’s no one to stop her.

Treatments aren’t helping anymore,and the doctor had advised him to take her in which is the last thing he would do.

To put Sophia in an asylum.

She hasn’t gone crazy or anything to deserve that,it’s just that she was raised under the influence of a psychopath that made her this way.

His dad would gladly take her away from him,and have her put in a mental hospital.He knew that.

His father wasn’t friendly towards her, and that’s something that would turn out to be a problem because he can’t do without Sophia.

How would he convince his dad right now, that she wasn’t going to hurt anyone anymore,not when he had covered up her dirty doings for a long time now.

His dad had sort out the help of a detective,who would gladly take in his wife for the murder of the guard at the family house.

But he wouldn’t allow that if Sophia goes to jail,he too would equally go too likewise his son, because they were her accomplices that night.

His dad wouldn’t allow his family’s name to be put to shame,he wouldn’t allow his family members to be used as a form of caricature for the citizens to make a joke of.

"You don’t have to apologize son,I’m the one at fault for keeping the truth away from you for a long time"Grandpa paused, looking at Ezekiel who was trying to hide his excitement.

He would have been in a foul mood right now,if Elijah hadn’t listened to him and moved ahead with his plans.

He loved his brother so much,that he wouldn’t have borne the pain of seeing him being in jail.

"I h...have something else to say father"Elijah muttered loudly to the hearing of his Father and brother,with that look on his face that says that he had something important to say.

Something important that they won’t like, not at all.But he had to let the cat out of the bag.

He’s tired of carrying this burden alone.

Sophia needs help desperately,and he doesn’t care how his father or brother is going to take what he’s about to say.But one thing is clear, and that is he’s not going to allow his wife to go to jail.

"What’s it son?"

"It’s about the murder?... there’s something you have to know about what happened that day"He said looking into his dad’s eyes ,to find him not surprised about what he’s about to say.

If anything,it was as if he expected him to talk about it though...he wasn’t stupid not to noticed that his father knew that he has something to do with it.

But he doesn’t know who exactly killed the guard.

"There’s something wrong with Sophia,and I’m sorry for keeping it away from you guys for so long.I was scared you will take her away from me father, but i assure you that she’s taking her treatment well"He paused,while taking a deep breath.

His brother was waiting to hear what he had to say,while watching him with undivided attention oblivious to the fact that Avery, and the chief of Staff had walked into the sitting room.

"Sophia..."Elijah couldn’t really find it possible to tell them what his wife is,"She’s..."

"A cannibal"His father completed his statement for him, leaving him astonished and bewildered.

"Ho..w..w?"

"Let’s just say i kind of tailed you guys for awhile.I’m not stupid not to notice that something was wrong with her, because of the daily hospital checkup every Friday so where’s she?"

The old man asked,he was too relaxed and calm for someone who had been harboring a criminal.

"She’s not at home"Avery said,making her presence known as Elijah couldn’t believe that everyone had known all long, and he was thinking that they don’t know shits about his wife.

"How’s the treatment going? Any improvement lately?"Ezekiel asked, sitting beside Avery and took her right hand to give it a peck.

"She’s been doing great lately,it slipped my mind to make sure she took her medications last week but surprisingly nothing happened when i got home,so...she’s safe and not a threat"He said lastly, emphasizing more on the threat part.

"I didn’t say that she’s a threat Elijah, and i wasn’t planning on turning her over to the cops either.She’s family and it’s not going to give me pleasure seeing her in jail"The old man said, standing up to walk up to him.

"I only want peace amongst everyone, including Sophia so I’m willing to help to see that she gets the treatme...."His statement was cut short by Elijah engulfing him in a hug as tears flowed from his eyes.

"Thank you so much dad...honestly,I don’t deserve your forgiveness I’m..so sorry"He apologized,as his dad smiled.

"It’s okay,so where’s Sophia and Nathan?"He asked, breaking the hug.

"Nathan is in his villa,he’s taking a vacation,and I don’t really know where Bambi went ton..."He said, scratching his head before taking his phone out to call his wife.

It rang for three consecutive times without her picking it up, and that got him worried..it’s late in the night and she’s not yet home.

"She’s not only picking up father,I didn’t have any idea where she went,and it’s late in the night,what if..."He was already having a bad feeling about this.

She hasn’t done something like this before, going out without letting him know where she is.

"She’s going to be fine Elijah,just calm down"Ezekiel walked up to him to pat his shoulders.

"Have you called Nathan to check if she’s with him?"Avery asked.

"He’s not picking my calls for days since he left home"

"Chris?"Ezekiel called.

"Yes sir?"

"Get the men to check up on Nathan at his villa, and try to hack into Sophia’s phone to get her location"He ordered,as he left immediately to do just that.

He didn’t know Sophia too well,but with the way his brother was worried about her like this it could only mean something bad.

He just hoped she hadn’t gone berserk again,and really hoped she took her medicine today.
