365 Days To Love-Chapter 157 - ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY-SEVEN:Dinner With Luke.
The third chiming of Zaiden’s phone, in the car ride towards the location they were headed,made him know that tonight was going to be a long night.
Finally,he had decided to introduce Hazel to the overexcited Luke,who couldn’t stop talking nonstop about how it would be such an honour to set his eye on such an ethereal creature.
Hazel wasn’t aware of the kind of person he was,and he could tell that both of them would turn out to like each other’s company, because he could already imagine him being the third wheel in this dinner appointment tonight.
He already knew that,and was trying not to feel bothered about it, everyone was taking his bride away from him at any slightest chance they got.
This morning, it had been his mother,who he couldn’t do anything about because she’s starting to be more of a second husband to Hazel after him.
The loneliness that graced his stay at home today made him realize how boring and lonely his life had been.
He couldn’t boast of having many friends who he could hang out with,which he didn’t mind at all because Luke was more than twenty friends added together.
Which led him to try his luck, at contacting Luke for a hangout since it’s been a while and added to the fact that he was less busy.
What turned out to be a guy’s hangouts,had led to him agreeing on a dinner appointment with Hazel included.
Zaiden knew there was no excuse, he would give Luke at that very moment that would change his mind about the dinner, because,initially,it had been awhile he had been too ecstatic and excited about meeting Hazel only to get disappointed.
Now,he had no excuse to deny his friend from meeting his bride,which was the reason why they were on the way to have dinner with him .
Hazel surprisingly,had been much more excited about meeting Luke than he had quite imagined,she was surprised about him telling her about his friend.
It’s more like a surprise to her that he suddenly brought up a conversation about his friend,yeah,he knew his life was boring and he didn’t need anyone reminding him of it.
He was not like Nathan,The outgoing,party type , who’s sociable to everyone,Nah! He’s not that way.
"Why aren’t you picking up?"Hazel asked him,when the fourth chiming of his phone made her realize that he was snubbing someone.
’`It’s nothing of much importance,besides I’m driving ,I have to focus.’ ’He smiled,as Hazel nodded her head and didn’t pester him further, about how important the calls might be.
She just didn’t know what was waiting ahead of them,Luke was so dramatic that this had been the main reason he kept his distance from him and did he forgot to add wild?
He was so wild,that sometimes he wondered exactly what he lived for, aside from going to parties and girls.
He wasn’t judging him for his lifestyle because honestly speaking,he had been the one who forced him into going to the club that day which made him meet Hazel.
Thanks to him,he had found the love of his life in a much more complicated way.
Looking at Hazel, and smiling to himself when he remembered the way she had puked over him, and he had overreacted about the whole thing that happened at the club that day.
"Is something on my face?’’Hazel asked, bringing out her phone to check her face because the glances he was sending her way, gave her the idea that he might be up to one of his pranks again.
"No"He replied,trying to hold the laughter that was building up in his stomach about that very night.
The look on his face when she puked on him,he can never forget that,neither Luke either.
"Stealing glances my way is going to cost you a whole lot of money, because you see,my face is the whole deal"She bragged.
"How much exactly? Because I’m definitely going to go bankrupt staring at you,no sane man can stay a minute without staring at you,you are really beautiful Hazel,really beautiful"Zaiden said,trying to keep his eyes on the road while praising his girl whose face was a shade of tomato red.
"I.."Hazel was speechless,why does a confession coming from him always make her this way?"Thanks Zaid"She mumbled shyly, looking away from him,and kept her eyes on the road with her mouth shut.
Who knows what he will say next that would make her heart go pit-a-pat this night?
No matter how many times she tries to be her normal self around him,she will always end up behaving like a highschooler who got her first boyfriend.
Which was no denying it that Zaiden was her first everything,her first boyfriend,her first kiss,and was she lucky to have him?
Oh yes! She definitely was.
If someone had told her, that she would be this happy and contented with life months ago,she wouldn’t have believed it.
Everything life had thrown her way, had always given her more sadness than joy,but since she met Zaiden.
She had felt more happier than she was these past few months,and she intends to do so, regardless of anything.
She must stay happy.
Happiness is Zaiden.Thats where she forever wants to be,with the main source of her happiness, Zaiden.
The car stopped and she realized they had arrived at where his friend was,she couldn’t believe that he had a friend and was more than anxious to know who this friend of his was.
She had doubted him, when he had actually told her this afternoon after she had come back with his mother about the dinner appointment with his friend,and she had doubted that.
Zaiden? A friend.
That was unbelievable.
He was out of the car with a look on his face which Hazel couldn’t decipher,it was as if he was not comfortable with this meetup,but yet,was forcing himself to do that.
"Babe,are you okay?"She asked, concerned,when he came around to open the door for her.
She touched his temple, In case he might have the flu, he was okay,but his face says otherwise.
"I’m fine,just.. stressed"Zaiden didn’t know what else to say at the moment,when he was trying to hide the fact that he didn’t want Luke seeing Hazel.
But that was not possible, how could he stop his best man from not knowing who his bride was?
Hazel raised her eyebrow up at his lie, stressed?
"We could go back if you don’t feel fine,I mean,we could meet up with him another time"
"No no,I’m good, seriously"He smiled when he realized he was getting her worried about something which didn’t make any sense.
Cupping her face in his hand,he kissed her nose while rubbing her cheeks to earn a smile from her.
Silly.
"Let’s go"He said as she nodded her head and placed her hand on his outstretched hands,both smiling lovely at each other before heading into the hotel.

"What in the name of...."Luke’s statement was put on hold when he saw the glare Zaidne sent this way for what he was about to say when they walked up to where he was 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
Standing up with a smile on his face while trying to act cool,but who was he kidding?
This was Zaiden’s bride,the angel that had melted the stone heart of his friend.
They both looked gorgeous!
He couldn’t wait for Zaiden to introduce him,and if he’s not doing that in the next three seconds,he’s going to do that himself and he knows what that means.

"Babe,this is Like,my best friend,and like,Hazel,my fianceè"Zaiden said,his hand resting on Hazel’s back,whose face indicated that she was comfortable being here.
"Hi,I’m Hazel Blackwood"she stretched forth her hand for a handshake,and just like Zaiden had predicted that this was a bad idea.
Luke brought out a handkerchief and cleaned his hands from every dirt that might be on them,which made Hazel smile at his actions.
"I’m Luke Graham,and the pleasure is all mine,our wife"His words made Hazel burst out into a laughter,which she was holding in since after the act he displayed before taking her hand for a handshake,but the look on Zaiden’s face said otherwise.
Now she understood the reason why Zaiden was acting strangely after telling her of this friend.
She couldn’t imagine, who in the world would put up with her arrogant hubby to be friends with him,and that person was only Luke,he’s such a lovely soul.
"Are you an angel? Because you look too real to be human "Luke added further, taunting Zaiden to do his worst, who was finding it hard to control himself.
He had forgotten so soon he had been the number supporter of this union right from the very first beginning,so please let him enjoy this time with his bribe.
Tonight was Hazel and Luke,and definitely not Hazel and Zaiden.
