365 Days To Love-Chapter 141 - ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTHY -ONE:A Toxic Relationship.
Zaiden loosened his tie in exhaustion,he knew there was a work load waiting for him once he started working.
The meeting that has been his main purpose for going to work today finally ended,it was about Anna’s contract with the company.
This month was her last month working with them, and he could say doing business with her was worth it. Unlike her being a betrayal to him,she values her work more than anything else.
Was he even saying this as if he didn’t know Anna?
She had sacrificed everything just for her career,and he was a bold testifier to what she did.
But nevertheless,that wasn’t of any use anymore,he wasn’t bothered about Arianna anymore,a new page has just begun.
Hazel.
His angel.
He wondered if she might be busy right now, because he desperately needed to hear her voice.
He was worried,really,really worried about her ever since he started feeling this way for her,and also coupled with the fact that someone out there wanted her dead.
It added more to his desperation to be with her at all times,he can’t bear the fact of anything bad happening to her,not on his watch.
He had vowed to protect her with his life and he was going to do that,just like she had sacrificed herself to keep him alive.
That night really scared him, and he needed to talk to her about it. She doesn’t have to do that again,she doesn’t have to sacrifice herself to save him in case anything bad happens again.
He might die,but it was better than living with the guilt that she was killed in his stead,he had a lot of enemies,both from the business world and family,it’s not new to him.
But she, getting tangled up in his mess was another burden which he didn’t want to carry. It was sick enough that he was still trying to catch Nathan for his bad deeds before he did something bad to her because of his selfish intentions towards her.
No matter,how hard he might have digged his way through and made him look stupid for laying acuusations on him,he’s not stupid, everyone might be too blind to notice, but he wasn’t blind not to see the handwriting on the wall.
Nathan was bad, and he’s more badder when it has to do with Hazel,so,he’s going to fish out his dirty secrets he was hiding before Hazel gets hurt again.
He didn’t know any reason why he would want to drag a woman with him,when it was made known to him right from the very first beginning that Hazel belonged to him.
Yeah,the both of them might have despised her from the beginning, but he knew there was absolutely no chance for Nathan to like Hazel,his mother was really not in approval of Hazel getting married into the family.
What else was going to be her reaction once she gets to know of her son’s unreasonable intentions towards Hazel?
Does she know already or was she just pretending?
No.Zaiden knew his aunt too well, to know that she would slap the shit out of Nathan for what he’s thinking towards Hazel.
She doesn’t tolerate bullshit from anyone,and that has been the mistake she made that made Hazel challenge her on her first day meeting the family.
There were many sides of Hazel which he has seen,but her brave side was scary, really scary,Hazel talks back at anyone regardless of their status anytime she was fee up with their bullshits.
He can testify to that, and he loved her more for it,no one can ever be brave enough to withstand his behaviour and also still have the mind to marry him after what is going on in the family.
No one, except Hazel.
Although she hadn’t opened up about the main reason, she wanted to get married to him in the first place,he knew she was going to tell him with time.
She was not after his money,which he had suspected,he just didn’t know what she
really wanted,but that doesn’t matter right now.
What matters is that they were willing,to give each other another chance despite the past between them, anything else will fall into place soon.
The door was opened with his secretary Andrew coming in,while tugging at his tie,he knew better not to dress up formally Infront of him.
"What do you have there?"Zaoem asked,taking the sealed documents he was holding to see the pictures of a guard.
He recognized the face,he was working for the family but had handed in his resignation letter recently which rhymed with the time of the accident.
"He gandede in his resignation late a day after what happened to the young miss,no one knows the reason why he did that aside from him saying he got a better job"Andrew said as Zaiden was going through the picture in his hands.
"That’s total bullshit,no one has been able to hand in their resignation for god knows how long"
"I was able to ask around for where he lives,seeing that he’s the only one who was in the cctv post that night the incident occurred,but strangely,he doesn’t live there anymore"
"Whoever it is that paid him off was not stupid to let him still live in the same house knowing fully well that he would be the number one on our search list,this is getting quite interesting"Zaiden said,smiling and shaking his head in atonishment.
If this was the handwork of the murderer,How can he pay off a worker without him alerting the family about it?
Okay, hyperventually it was this murderer?how did he enter the estate that night without anyone knowing?also coupled with the fact that he had a car with him?

It just didn’t made any sense that they were all saying that it was the murderer that tried killing him when it was Hazel that was his main priority,but yet,didn’t kill Hazel when the chance came up.
It was definitely Nathan.
All speculation leads to him,and he’s going to find out who exactly was backing him up with his evil deeds.
"Search around his neighborhood and ask questions, someone definitely has to know where he ran off too"Zaiden said picking up his phone,it was time for lunch.
"Okay"Andrew said,as Zaiden stood up and left the office.
Coming out of his elevator,he heard voices,whispering voices which belonged to his female employees.
This time they were talking about Anna,Zaiden didn’t want to care less if they did talk about her, because it wasn’t new to him that they seem way too obsessed about the model.
But the last comment he heard from one of the girls made him stop in his tracks and look at them,who noticed his presence and ran off.
Scars.
Did Anna have any accidents?
Zaiden asked himself,as much as he was trying not to worry about her,hearing people talk about her this way made him worried.
Anna loved modeling,and he intends to respect her decision for that and also help her in keeping it that precious to her.
Waking to the dressing room where he knew she would be,he walked in on her alone there while cleaning her makeup.
"Hey"He called to her, and saw her stiffen from his voice before continuing with what she was doing,paying him no attention.
"What are you doing here?"Arianna asked, looking at her lifeless self in the mirror,it was of no use trying to hide anymore.
She was not oblivious to the rumours going on in the company about her being in any accident,as per the scar on her shoulder which one of the chatty females here had caught a glimpse of when she was giving an autograph to her.
"I was.."Zaiden didn’t know how to explain his actions,he didn’t want her to misunderstand his kind gesture for love."worried,I was worried"
"Worried?"Anna asked,smiling to herself when she heard what he said.
He was worried,yet,he had pushed her away to that monster who derived joy seeing her cries of agony.
"What difference does it make if you are worried? I mean,you made it clear to me that i was not worth it,so why are you worried?"She asked,getting angry that he was here to see her this way.
But she was not scared of showing him,he needs to know what’s happening Incase she ends up dying,yeah, someone had to know what killed her.
Mia was not trustworthy anymore,but Zaiden was, he might be in love with another woman but he still cared for her.
"Anna that’s not.."Zaiden’s words were cut short when she turned,facing him, the big ugly looking scar at her shoulder blade was now visible to his eyes.
It was no accident,it looked more like she was beaten by someone.
"Who did this?’’He asked,walking up to grab her two arms as she flinched from pains,before pushing him off.
"It’s none of your business"Anna replied,getting scared of the look on Zaiden’s face,he looked as if he was about to murder someone making the little courage she had earlier wither down at the thoughts of him fighting Micheal.
"Did he do this?’’Zaiden asked, referring to her boyfriend,as he saw her hands start shaking.
"He didn’t,I slipped"She lied,but Zaiden knew she was lying, taking her bag to leave before her cover was blown.
Zaiden caught her,holding her hands"You can tell me anything you know, right?"He asked,as she turned to him,her eyes were on the verge of crying.
But the devil of her boyfriend chose that moment to walk in on them,holding some flowers which were not even her favourite.
What is she even doing with a guy like that?
"Babe"She released her hand from his,and walked up to Michael,who had a stone cold look on his face while glaring hard at Zaiden.
Turning to look at the two couples,Zaiden could see the fear in Anna’s eye while she held her boyfriend’s hand,who did nothing but look at him as if he was some predator.
What exactly is going on between the two?
Whatever it is,he knew Anna was in serious danger if it was exactly what he thought was going on.
Walking up to the two,he put a smile on his face to hide his anger,and stretched forth his hands towards Anna’s boyfriend.
"I’m Zaiden Knights,the director of Knight’s Empire"Zaiden said,he knew better than to introduce himself as Anna’s ex boyfriend.
He noticed Anna give out a deep breath when he didn’t say he had anything to do with her.
Micheal pushed the flowers towards Anna in a rude way,a taunting smile hanging on lips,as he took Zaiden’s hands in his.
"I’m Micheal Cole, Anna’s boyfriend,I have heard about you,a lot. ’’Micheal said,looking at Anna who bowed her head in fear before turning to look at Zaiden who was no fool to what was happening here.
Anna was stucked in a toxic relationship!
