365 Days To Love-Chapter 102 - ONE HUNDRED AND TWO: Keeping Secrets From Him.
"You are awake"Elijah said the moment Sophia opened her eyes, touching her temple to throw ill profanities at the headache that set in.
She turned instantly when it seemed as if she didn’t notice or hear Elijah talk to her,then jerked slightly when she saw him sitting at the nearest chair towards the bed.
Judging from the way the chair was close to the bed,he was watching her sleep the whole time while waiting for her to wake up. Well,this is a first.
Ignoring him,she turned bti her side, murmuring to herself while attempting to sit up,he rushed to help her but she slapped his hands away from her immediately and glared at him.
Okay!Maybe she remembers.
Elijah thought, because he had expected her to throw herself at him once she woke up to see herself in bed because of what he did to her yesterday.
Gladly,he gave a relieving sigh when he found out she was back to herself,things have changed and he needs to talk to her unless she’s going to put,not just herself in danger, including him and her son once they find out she’s the one who killed the guard.
The cops had left to come back tomorrow for investigations which is why he needed to talk to her,so as to lecture her on the happenings and what to say and how to behave tomorrow,but seeing that she’s still angry at him was another problem altogether.
His dad and brother have left to his father’s room after cursing out loudly at the chief of staff when the ccctv was checked and it was figured out that the penetrator altered yesterday’s recordings.
He didn’t stay to hear what was on his father’s mind and what he was planning,because he left to check up on her to see if she’s up,and here she is,waking up at four in the evening.
Today had been a long day,today’s happening affected everyone in the sense that there was an uncalled eerie silence everywhere,the servants had to mind their chatty mouths today so as not to incur his dad’s wrath.
He was sure he didn’t eat lunch today but that wasn’t his concern,he had that coming his way when he didn’t treat Sophia right,but that doesn’t justify that what she did was right.
She might not understand the level of what age did, but it was murder that was on the ground,and his dad had went ahead to call his private investigators which means that the case won’t he closed until the murderer is been caught.
His wife made it worse by going ahead to announce Hazel as her next victim,was she insane or what?

His conscience attacked him.
Who goes ahead announcing that they were about to kill someone, does she not know that things are going to get messy now she made her intentions known to them.
Not that he minded if the young lady was killed or not,it’s of no use to him if she’s dead anyway because she’s more a threat to him right now,seeing that his son was now behaving strangely.
What exactly is he playing at?
Sometimes,he doesn’t just understand who exactly he takes after, because there’s nothing he does that makes him think that he’s the exact replica of him,he’s just the exact same copy of Sophia,the only difference was that he had his features but every other thing was of his mother.
Nathan ran up immediately when he heard Hazel was dead.
The scene was still playing vividly in his head that he had tried to wav it aside,but the eerie feeling that something was about to hit him and he wouldn’t like it at all was still disturbing him.
There’s no way his son would like that smart ass, who he’s sure his mother would kill even before he thinks of taking her away from Zaiden.
It’s not like Zaiden treated her well,he’s just pretending in front of the family members but that has nothing to do with Nathan.
His job was to focus more on the company but he’s not so sure if that’s what he’s focusing on again.
"What are you thinking so hard about?Did something happen?"Sophia asked, breaking him away from his thoughts,while staring at him with a coy grin hanging on the corner of her mouth.

Moreover,the way she’s staring at him now made him remember that she was a cannibal and she could actually eat him if he messed up.
But he isn’t that moved by silly threats,she’s just a woman,a dangerous one at that but he’s a Elijah,and if she proved to be a threat with what she had become,he’s afraid he would go against Nathan’s wish but to do away with her..
This wasn’t the woman he fell in love with,he doesn’t know much about her dead parents,they fmarried as per the usual process in which the elites get married.
At first,he wasn’t attracted to her because he was angry at his dad for trying to get him married,he didn’t want anything that would distracte his mind against what his actual purpose was.
But she came into his life like a fucking tornado and washed away his cold stone heart making him to fall inlove with her and now things have changed.
Is her uncle like her too?
Honestly speaking,it’s been years he heard of her uncle after the marriage and countless times,he tried calling him but the number doesn’t connect.Sophia always has an answer to why he isn’t picking his calls.
Does she know about this and had to keep it to herself only to bring out her true colours after years of keeping it hidden?
Did her uncle knows about this too and decided to cut all ties with him after getting his niece married off to him?

"You murdered someone last night,that’s what happened!"He told her harshly which stunned her because this was the very first time she’s seeing him this agitated at her.

"And you are raising your voices at me because i did something as small as that"she snapped at him too,sitting up more on the bed.
"Seriously?"Elijah asked,he couldn’t believe her,not at all,she’s changed, Sophia’s changed.
He stood up,walking up into the centre of their room still trying to figure out where things got wrong,but he couldn’t think of any answers when she’s frustrating him further.

"Elijah stop it now"She said calmly trying not to lose her cool,but Elijah was stepping on her toes and she’s nkt sure if she can bear it any longer.
He’s looking at her as if she’s some monster,which had exactly been the reason why she wanted to kill him last night with Nathan.
Where’s Nathan?
Only he can stop his dad from asking her foolish questions,her son definitely was on her side no matter what bad deeds she does,but she wasn’t sure any longer about Elijah.
"Answer the goddamn question Sophia!!’’He yelled coming close to her while she fell flat on the bed, her eyes watering immediately.
"What exactly do you want me to say?Yes he’s like me, no!he’s far worse than what i am!are you satisfied?"She said,as the teara started flowing down her faces,this had been exactly the reason why she didn’t want to get married but her uncle had bluntly refused, saying she needed a home to protect her or she’s going to kept put in a psychic ward.

She despised that place like shit,spending fourteen years of her life there hasn’t been a good experience at all,she had tried acting like the good wife by heeding Elijah’s advice to go for monthly checkups,but it doesn’t change anything about her.
"You guys tricked me?’’Elijah declared,folding his fist while glaring at her,he had wanted her to come clean and ask for forgiveness or rather tell him on how to get her to be better, but she’s only adding more to his anger.
He pampered her a lot,that’s the cause of all this bullshit,he was too lenient towards her because he loves her,but he couldn’t say the same about now after finding out she had been keeping this secret away from him for a long time.
"Now you know the truth?what are you going to do? Are you going to look me up in a psychic ward just like my dad did?"she asked him,this time his anger melted when he saw her tears and heard her statement.
He had gone far.But that was just to get her talking because asking her without getting her worked up won’t prove successful,she only gets truthful anytime she’s angry.
"Babe,I’m sorry",He apologized,coming closer to her.
"Don’t touch me!"She yelled,scooting away from him"you are just like him,am a monster right?"
"No you are not, I’m really.."Elijah said again.

"What’s happening here?!!"The thunderous voice of his dad stopped the two as Elijah turbed to look at him staring at his wife who has tears running down her face,while clenching her fist as if she’s trying hard to control herself from attacking his father.

He didn’t eavesdropped on their conversation, right?
Looking up at him with his eyes widened at him when the thought of him finding out about their conversation crossed his mind.
He felt his world stopped for a bit when he heard his dad call his name and he notice the tune in which he called him with.
