My Scheming Little Devil

The journalists were in an uproar, having never imagined that the previous incident had taken such a dramatic turn. It was Ye Lu who had plotted it all and bribed the maid. She was quite crafty indeed.

"Xiaoyue, how could you twist right and wrong like this?" Ye Lu gasped in shock, looking at her with disbelief and disappointment written all over her face.

"I never bribed you. What evidence do you have to make such a accusation?" She demanded loudly, in anger.

Yuan Jiayin sneered, "Caught red-handed, and you still play innocent. I think you’re the one pretending to be pure. Fortunately, Xiaoyue isn’t as devious as you."

She then turned to Xiaoyue again.

"If she bribed you, she must have paid you right? Show us, let everyone see."

Xiaoyue pulled out a banknote from her pocket, pointing at the 30,000 on it, "This is the money she gave me before I went on TV."

The journalists were shocked, even the bribery money was produced. It seemed this time it was all real. They didn’t think that last time they had truly blamed Yuan Jiayin wrongly.

My god, Ye Lu was truly devious. To frame someone, she even stooped to this level.

"Why would that prove this money is what I gave her? Anybody could deposit some money into any account. Your evidence is insufficient!" Ye Lu clenched her fists.

"If it wasn’t you who gave the money, how come it coincidentally arrived just before she went on TV? And, 30,000 isn’t a small amount, where would she, an ordinary maid, get so much money from? Furthermore, why would she frame you? The evidence and testimonies are irrefutable, yet you still want to quibble? You think everyone here will believe you? Ask the journalists present," Yuan Jiayin, full of righteous indignation, loudly addressed the surrounding journalists.

The journalists all indicated their disbelief.

"See, nobody believes you. Also, these few kids were part of the fan club that attacked you last time."

Yuan Jiayin then pulled out a few teenagers and spoke to them.

"You tell, was I the one who bribed you to attack her last time?"

The group of teenagers pointed at Ye Lu, "It was her who bribed us to stage this charade."

"What utter nonsense. I don’t even know you," Ye Lu glared at the teenagers. These weren’t the people she’d sought last time, they must have been randomly picked by Yuan Jiayin.

But with so many members of the fan club, no one would remember what they looked like. Finding someone to impersonate them was so easy and journalists were definitely going to believe them.

"If you could hire Xiaoyue to frame me, why wouldn’t you stage this drama?" Yuan Jiayin cried, "I did slap you twice in the past, but that was because you insulted me by bringing up my past as a prostitute. I couldn’t put up with it anymore, but you don’t need to hold such grudge, bribing so many people to frame me and smear my name."

The journalists suddenly realized. So the photos of the two slaps were about this. Thinking this way, Yuan Jiayin’s action was somewhat understandable.

Ye Lu’s face turned ashen.

Yuan Jiayin lamented, "Everyone, see the true colors of this woman. How detestable she is. If not for Xiaoyue’s awakening conscience, I would have been totally destroyed by her conspiracy and tricks. Today, you must stand up for me and proof my innocence."

The journalists immediately directed their criticism at Ye Lu, and were aggressively confrontational.

"Miss Ye, your conspiracy has been exposed. Do you have anything to say?" 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

"Shouldn’t you apologize to Miss Yuan, and admit all that you’ve done?"

"Having done such a malicious act, you should apologize to the public whom you’ve deceived."

Ye Lu’s face turned icy cold, she numbly said, "I have nothing to say."
