She understood that involving a state guest like this was a significant matter, insulting a foreign envoy was a serious offence.

"Humph, you should apologize to my companion."

Bai Sijia’s face turned red instantly, for her to apologize to Ye Lu who she deemed below her, she couldn’t bear such humiliation, why should she?

"If you apologize now, we can let it go."

Ye Lu had been humiliated by this woman the whole evening; this time, she would not let it slide so easily.

Ye Lu folded her arms over her chest, found her voice, echoed confidently. "If not, I will charge you with defamation. This matter involves the queen, it is no small issue. You’re free to weigh the pros and cons."
