Chapter 787

“I can now understand why Katrina wanted to enslave you. If any wizard organization has something like this, they could create an army of wizards in a short amount of time,” Helena said.

Anton was glad that he did not inform them that his Meditation Aura could also let people who do not have the talent to become wizards become average wizards simply by studying under the effects of the said aura.

“You don’t need to worry, Anton. We will not disclose this ability to others, and regarding high-level wizards like us, it’s not that useful since, in our mission, we usually don’t spend a lot of time memorizing spells, and would need to have all our spells ready before missions. Your spell is incredibly useful, though, for protracted battle, like defending the walls from attacks. I guess that’s why you can cast spells nonstop. That’s what I read on your profile, which contained details of your fight against the coalition in the walls of Mendoza,” Captain Joraniah said, when he probably noticed the slight worry on Anton’s face.

“Since you’re a part of our team now, we’re family, and anyone who so much as looks at you with evil intention will become our enemy as well,” Sudarta assured Anton.

Of course, Anton was not sure if they were saying those assurances to pacify him, so he did not trust their words too much. Time would be the only thing that would prove their sincerity.

The meeting was extremely long because the other seven wizards, including the Captain, reciprocated and told Anton details of their abilities, which were considerable and left Anton awed.

Even when noon arrived, the meeting was still not over, and Sudarta just summoned a servant to have food brought to them.

Anton was a little impressed at his new captain and teammates' sincerity because they were open, and they looked like they did not hide anything from him. He knew that knowing each other's skills in detail was a necessity for their group, since, based on what the captain had said, the missions they usually undertake needed everyone to trust each other fully.

Their discussion about each other's abilities rotates. After one of them talked for a long time about their spells and their applications, another one would start again. During Anton’s turn again, Anton discussed his support abilities. He told them about his auras, aside from the one he already discussed with them, which was the Meditation Aura. He told them about the powerful healing capabilities of his Prayer Aura, which was even capable of regenerating lost limbs.

When one of the male wizards asked Anton to test the Prayer Aura, he immediately added the person to his party system. Anton was shocked when Ishmael suddenly cut off his hands without hesitation when he told the man that his Prayer Aura was now active. Everyone there saw the rapid regeneration of the man’s arm. When Ishmael saw his shocked expression, the wizard told Anton that he had a powerful, specialized regeneration spell, but he could only use it for himself and not with others. That was why the others weren’t surprised by Ishmael’s action. Still, the act itself was truly shocking.

Because of that, it was Ishmael's turn again to discuss more of his abilities, including his Regeneration spell.

Anton then learned that the most common spells were shared with teammates. Basically, those spells that could be bought from magic shops, but everyone had their own specialized spells that they would not share with others for different reasons, the least of which was, they just do not want to, but the common reason was the spells were given to them by their masters and forbade them in sharing them with others without their master’s permission.

Unfortunately for Anton’s teammates, he did not have any spells that he could share since most of those that he had, which were the lifestyle spellbooks he collected, were common and could be bought anywhere, and they were also useless in battle, and of course, his Diablo spells could not be shared.

When it was time for Anton to share again, he elaborated more on his Paladin’s skills, which were mainly his auras. The wizards were extremely interested in those auras that increase their defensive abilities greatly. Unfortunately, most of the auras that increase melee battle abilities were not that useful for mages.

Still, the captain said that because of his diverse auras, they could incorporate them in his battle plans depending on the mission they had.

After that, it was his teammates' turn again. No one was surprised that the discussion was not only useful for Anton. Even though everyone was already aware of their teammates' abilities, some of them would suddenly share a spell application that they had just recently discovered.

The discussion continued even after dinner. Anton moved on from telling his new captain and teammates about his aura to telling them about his summons. They were amazed at his claim that his summons were almost half as powerful as he was. Anton thought that the only reason why his most powerful summons, like the Valkyrie and the Shadow Master was not as powerful as him was because of his items and because of the stats and power added by his Diablo Immortal character.

Some of his teammates were persistent in testing out his summons, so he agreed to a battle between them and his summons the next day.

Before the day ended, Anton learned that the team’s free time would only last until the next day, and after that, Captain Joraniah would accept a mission for them again.

All in all, the day was extremely productive for the whole team because not only did they had learned the new teammate’s abilities in detail, they also became closer with each other. Anton understood the necessity of being able to totally trust his teammates. Their fight was not an ordinary fight but a fight for humanity’s survival. He felt that each one of them had a responsibility that they had taken upon themselves to make sure that the cancer of this world would not destroy every living being.

After the meeting concluded, Anton felt tired, so after a few minutes, he was fast asleep. The next day, after breakfast, everyone went to the training ground behind the team’s headquarters. The men were truly interested in Anton’s summons. All of them wanted to study his summons in details and once they were done, some of the guys wanted to test their battle capabilities. When they reached the training grounds, Anton summoned all of his summons, and his teammates were amazed. They examined the summons in detail that Anton felt crossed the line to inappropriate. If the summons had dignity, they would have already run screaming to him, complaining about his new teammates' behavior. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

Their examination lasted an astonishingly long couple of hours. After that, Captain Joraniah started planning a battle between Anton’s male teammates and all of his summons. They were extremely excited since Anton told them that it was all right for them to destroy the summons since he could summon them again.

The first fight would just be one of the men versus all of the summons. During the first round, the captain did not ask Anton to support his summons using his aura skills. That would happen after. Helena and Sudarta were just planning to watch. They were only mildly interested in Anton’s summons battle capabilities. They planned to watch the battle together with Anton in the audience seats.
