Chapter 786
Chapter 786
The servant led Anton to the meeting room, where he was supposed to meet the rest of his teammates in the Gorvin Team. The servant knocked on the door, and when they heard Captain Joraniah’s voice telling them to enter, the servant opened the door and gestured at Anton to enter the room.
The room was a conference room with a huge rectangular table in the middle and surrounded by eight chairs. The center of the table had a crystal ball that emitted light and formed an illusion of a map of a place that Anton did not recognize.
The eight chairs were filled by five men, including Captain Joraniah and two women.
“Anton, you’re here. These men and women will be your teammates. From left to right, they are Ishmael, Sudarta, Helena, Mishos, Aruma, and Tamor. They are all Supreme Rank wizards, just like you.”
“So you’re the nineteen-year-old Supreme Rank wizard where the portal scrolls came from,” The woman that the captain named Sudarta said. The other woman’s name was Helena.
Most of his teammates shook their heads at his age. Anton understood, since Captain Joraniah mentioned that all of them were already several decades older than he was. Captain Joraniah told Anton that before he arrived, they were discussing the details of his ability so that everyone would know about them and use them in their missions to the maximum advantage they could have.
They still have several questions, though, regarding his abilities.
“Can you teleport more people aside from yourselves?” One of the male wizard named Mishos, asked.
“Yes. I can teleport up to two more people based on the tests that I’ve done,” Anton replied.
Anton then elaborated more on his Teleport ability, as he could only teleport as far as his eye could see. The good thing about his teleport was that even if his line of sight was obstructed by something, like a wall, as long as he knew where he was going, he could teleport to that place. Anton’s Teleport skill was limited only by distance. Still, if they’re talking about distance, everyone already knows his ability to construct a two-way portal without the need for portal scrolls. Every wizard there already knew how the portals worked since the wizards from Ormunda had already spread them to their allies, which now included the wizards of Nermador.
He also informed his teammates that he could only craft one portal scroll a day, and since Anton was already committed to giving twenty of them to the Ormundan Wizards, he would only have ten left for the month. Captain Joraniah asked if he could give the ten scrolls to the team, but Anton shook his head and told his new captain that he could only provide five since the rest would be used by his family.
“Five is enough. Did you know that the wizards from Ormunda tested the durability of your portals? Based on the reports that I’ve read, they’re indestructible as long as the person who used the scroll is alive,” Captain Joraniah said with an amazed expression. All the wizards there were the same.
Captain Jorahiah told Anton that the wizards from Ormunda and New Drennor had tested using spells up to the Invincible Rank. They did not use Divine-level spells because those spells would devastate the land.

Anton was surprised because he did not know that, and he admitted as much. Captain Joraniah told him that the portal, when attacked by spells, acted as if it did not exist. All spells just go through the portal as if it were not there. They also tested by asking the user of the scroll and the wizards that were part of the party system of the scroll user to attack the portal, and those spells did reach the portal, but the spells just dissipated as if they were throwing gushes of air into it.
Another experiment that the wizards had conducted was to destroy the ground where the portal was placed, and once they had done that, the portal remained in place, floating on air. It was unlike the dimensional gates, which were famously known by its fragility.
After the Captain told Anton the contents of the reports on the experiment conducted on the portals, he handed five town portal scrolls to Captain Joraniah. The six wizards who were seated around the table immediately stood up and gathered toward the Captain to look at the scrolls. Captain Joraniah relented to the wheedling of Helena and Sudarta and gave one to them so they could experiment on them, but no one there expected the two Supreme Rank female wizards to have any results since so far, the Divine-Rank wizards from Ormunda and New Drennor were not successful in reverse engineering the scrolls.
Anton looked in amusement when Helena and Sudarta started arguing over who would keep the scroll, and the funny part was the fact that all the men there, including the captain, were ignoring the two women. After a minute, they stopped, but Anton did not see who won the argument. He did not even see who kept the scroll.
After that, he talked about his Telekinesis. He told his teammates that his Telekinesis spell was one of his most powerful and beloved spells. It allowed him to fly. He also described to them how he used it to make sure that he, his father, and his sister survived the destruction of the ship Amelia. He described how they lived for days inside a small rescue boat by lifting the boat using the said spell while simultaneously using a spell that hid them from a cursory look from the undead that might have remained near the ship that was destroyed, while guiding the boat to where he thought the Gale continent was located.
One of his teammates asked how fast his flight was using his Telekinesis, and he told them. He also told them how he would boost the speed by casting a spell behind him that would push him forward. When asked what the maximum weight he could lift was, he admitted that he had not tested it, so he did not know.
Then Captain Joraniah mentioned his ability to cast spells nonstop. At first, Anton hesitated, and everyone saw it. The captain then told him that it was important for everyone to know and that it wasn’t the time to hold back, since they were at war, and if wizards held back their knowledge, there was a chance that it could mean the demise of the living.
Anton sighed and knew that he had no choice. They were in a critical situation wherein the Undead Coalition’s forces' chances of winning were becoming greater every day. First, Anton told him the situation that happened with the Invincible Wizard Katrina, wherein she had planned to capture him to study the ability that allowed him to cast his spells nonstop. She became extremely interested when she learned that she could share that ability with other people. Everyone there looked extremely interested when they heard that part.
The captain assured him that the situation would not happen since all the wizards’ focus was on defeating the undead.
“I know of Katrina! She joined the coalition and became a lich,” Helena snarled.
Anton shook his head and started telling everyone about his Meditation Aura. He told everyone that the people inside his party system would benefit from the aura. He told them that the aura would allow wizards to memorize spells in an exponentially short amount of time. They asked to test it, so Anton created a party that included every wizard there, then activated his Meditation Aura.
All the wizards there retrieved their grimoires from their spatial items and started reading them. After a few seconds, they looked up and stared at Anton in amazement. Anton understood that they managed to memorize the spells they chose for the test in seconds.
