The salesperson immediately turned around to get the watch from the display case. Taking advantage of the waiting moment, Seraphina Vaughn leaned over and whispered to Julian Bishop, "It’s not too expensive, just in the low seven digits. If you really don’t have that much money, just tell me, I can buy it myself."

Julian Bishop knew that Seraphina Vaughn wasn’t really chasing material things; she just wanted to use this method to embarrass him.

"If you like it, buy it." Julian Bishop said, taking out a bank card from his wallet and handing it to Seraphina Vaughn, "Password 740913."

Seeing Julian Bishop so straightforward, Seraphina Vaughn felt a bit unhappy. She glanced at the card in Julian Bishop’s hand and whispered, "Don’t pretend to be rich; I’m afraid one watch will cost you all your savings."

Julian Bishop couldn’t help but chuckle and said, "I’m not particularly wealthy, but I have enough to support you and the kids."

Seraphina Vaughn sarcastically curled up the corner of her mouth, "Support? It depends on how. Is it gourmet meals every day or just porridge and buns?"

Julian Bishop: "You’ll know when you try."

"Ma’am, do you need to try on the watch you wanted to see?"

Seraphina Vaughn took a glance, then turned and smiled at the salesperson, "Please help me try it on. I’ve long wanted this watch, and I really like this style."

While helping Seraphina Vaughn try it on, the salesperson introduced, "This watch is a collaboration with Starfield, designed by Starfield’s chief designer Julian Bishop..."

"Who?!" Seraphina Vaughn interrupted the introduction in surprise, momentarily thinking she had misheard.

The salesperson paused, then continued, "The designer from Starfield. He’s been featured in many magazines. Every product he designs is especially popular, although in recent years he rarely draws designs personally. But whenever he does, it’s a hit; this watch sold out online the day it was pre-sold. We just received the stock yesterday; if you had come a day earlier, we would’ve been out of stock."

Seraphina Vaughn furrowed her brows, glancing at Julian Bishop with doubt. She genuinely thought Julian Bishop worked at Starfield, but always assumed he got the job thanks to Shane Warner’s connections.

Seraphina Vaughn had bought plenty of Starfield products, but she had always focused on style rather than the designers behind them, so she had no idea Julian Bishop had this level of fame.

Looking at Julian Bishop standing behind her, she couldn’t help but mumble, "How many Julian Bishops does Starfield have?"

"Hey, looking at you, it seems your gentleman looks quite similar to that designer."

Seraphina Vaughn froze, then immediately corrected, "He’s not my gentleman."

The salesperson smiled awkwardly, "Sorry about that. The watch is on, check if it fits."

Seraphina Vaughn was initially very pleased, but upon hearing that Julian Bishop designed it, she suddenly didn’t want it anymore.

"Ma’am, your fair skin pairs perfectly with this diamond watch face. We have limited stock left, and inventory across channels is tight. If you like it, act quickly."

Seraphina Vaughn truly liked the watch; it looked great on her. She hadn’t managed to get it during the presale, and now that she found one in stock, saying no seemed a waste.

But...

She turned to glance at Julian Bishop, caught in an internal struggle, then said to him, "Why are you standing there? Go pay." 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Julian Bishop chuckled, handed the bank card to the salesperson, and leaned down to Seraphina Vaughn, saying, "Seems like even though you don’t like me, you quite like my work."

Seraphina Vaughn snorted coldly and mumbled, "As long as I’m not spending my money, why not take it?"
