Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!
Chapter 903: As Long As There’s Money in the Card
Seraphina Vaughn understood her friends who were with her. Surely, they must have been drinking until midnight before returning to the hotel, and now they are definitely fast asleep in their beds.
So she had no plans to go out; after finishing breakfast, she lay on the chaise lounge by the floor-to-ceiling window, basking in the early morning sun. She cuddled her phone and watched dramas.
Actually, last night, she considered secretly buying a plane ticket to play somewhere else overnight.
But after thinking it over, she felt it wasn’t necessary. Anyway, she just wanted to force Julian Bishop to willingly let go. Avoiding him wasn’t as good as taking advantage of these few days to continue wearing down his patience.
"Knock knock——"
Seraphina Vaughn looked up at the sound, gazing toward the door being knocked. Guessing it was likely Julian Bishop, she didn’t rush to get up and open the door.
Just a few seconds later, the phone screen was replaced by an incoming call display, with Julian Bishop’s number flashing on it.
Seraphina Vaughn frowned and hung up the call, tossed aside the blanket, and stood up from the chair to open the door: "What now?"
Julian Bishop: "It’s ten o’clock, I think you should be pretty much awake by now."
Seraphina Vaughn: "And then?"
"The weather’s nice today, do you want to go out for a walk?"
Seraphina Vaughn opened her mouth, ready to refuse but held back, her eyes moving slightly as she said, "Sure, I actually want to go out to buy some things."
Julian Bishop nodded: "Go and change your clothes then. I’ll wait for you outside, is an hour enough?"
Seraphina Vaughn’s actions paused for a moment, unsure of what Julian Bishop’s last sentence truly meant.
Not knowing if Julian Bishop really had the patience to wait, or if he intentionally brought it up because of yesterday to make her mindful of time? 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Seraphina Vaughn didn’t bother to ponder deeply. This time, she didn’t take long; since becoming pregnant, she hadn’t been putting on makeup much. After changing her clothes in a few minutes, she went out: "Let’s go."
Seeing Seraphina Vaughn come out so quickly, Julian Bishop, leaning against the wall looking down at his phone, was momentarily puzzled but didn’t ask her why she was so fast this time, simply putting his phone in his pocket and asking her, "Where do you want to go shopping?"
Seraphina Vaughn chuckled slightly, walking briskly ahead, saying, "Just follow me."
Julian Bishop didn’t question further, smiling lightly as he followed her.
At first, when he saw Seraphina Vaughn’s unusual attitude, he felt a bit worried.
But after yesterday’s experience, he knew that Seraphina Vaughn’s seemingly proud ill intentions were just childish tricks.
After going downstairs, Seraphina Vaughn didn’t take a taxi, instead walking along the right-side street of the hotel. Julian Bishop simply followed her silently.
After about ten minutes of walking, the two arrived at the commercial street. Seraphina Vaughn directly entered a large building with luxury brand logos hanging at the entrance.
After entering, she paused and turned to ask Julian Bishop: "Did you bring money?"
Julian Bishop raised his eyebrows slightly, asking seriously in return, "Does a bank card work?"
Seraphina Vaughn smiled, "As long as there’s money on it."
Saying this, she turned and continued walking forward, stepped onto the escalator to the second floor, and turned to ask Julian Bishop, who was standing behind her, "Don’t be too proud. If there’s not much money on the card, you can leave now. I’m afraid our spending levels are not on the same tier."
Julian Bishop lightly chuckled, answering casually, "We’ll see."
Seraphina Vaughn sneered, went upstairs and turned into a luxury watch counter on the left side, immediately saying to the clerk, "Please bring out your newly released ladies’ watch for me to see."
