Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!
Chapter 902: Pervert
As soon as she returned to the hotel, Seraphina Vaughn darted into her room, shutting Julian Bishop, who had been following her all the way, outside the door.
Julian Bishop advised through the door, "Get some rest early."
Seraphina Vaughn paused by the door, desperately wanting to ignore the existence of Julian Bishop, but with such a big presence trailing around her, how could she completely disregard him?
During their last trip, there hadn’t been much interaction between her and Julian Bishop; the words exchanged between them then didn’t even amount to what they had spoken today.
Judging from today’s interaction alone, she was fairly satisfied with Julian Bishop’s behavior.
After all, no matter how dramatic she acted today, how harsh her words were, she hadn’t seen Julian Bishop lose his temper.
However, people sometimes endure temporarily for future interests, just because Julian Bishop didn’t explode today, it doesn’t mean he’ll continue to tolerate it forever.
Moreover, it’s only the first day; she doesn’t believe that this man can hold out for an entire week.
The next morning, while still asleep, Seraphina Vaughn was awakened by a knocking at the door.
She buried her head under the pillow, gripping her ears tightly, trying to shut out the sounds from outside.
After a few seconds, the knocking stopped, and as Seraphina Vaughn drifted back to sleep in a daze, the phone on her nightstand suddenly rang.
Seraphina Vaughn, full of impatience, furrowed her brows, reached for the phone with her eyes closed, not bothering to check who was calling, answered with annoyance, "Who?"
"Open the door."
Upon hearing Julian Bishop’s voice through the phone, an already irritable Seraphina Vaughn, disturbed from her sleep, furrowed her brows even tighter, and with a raspy voice from just waking, cursed, "Are you out of your mind?"
Julian Bishop: "Concerned about my health so much, why don’t we go for a check-up at the hospital together later?"
Seraphina Vaughn: "Nonsense!"
Julian Bishop: "Hurry up and open the door."
After hanging up the phone, Seraphina Vaughn huddled in her blankets, dawdling for quite a while before finally uncovering the blankets and opening the door.
Yawning, she glanced at Julian Bishop standing outside her door, impeccably dressed, and asked with displeasure, "What do you want?"
Julian Bishop handed the paper bag he was holding to Seraphina Vaughn and said, "I bought breakfast for you, have some before you go back to sleep."
Seraphina Vaughn frowned, scrutinizing the paper bag in Julian Bishop’s hand disdainfully.
She did notice the logo on the bag—it was indeed from her favorite breakfast spot around here—but because Julian Bishop bought it, she found it less appealing.
Seraphina Vaughn didn’t reach out to take it, instead told Julian Bishop, "I can’t trust what you bought; if I’m hungry, I’ll know to get up and eat, spare me your attentiveness. Also, stop interrupting my sleep!"
Julian Bishop blocked the door that Seraphina Vaughn was about to close, saying, "Don’t let your grudge against me prevent you from eating, our baby is still inside your belly. If not for yourself, think for the baby."
As soon as Seraphina Vaughn heard those words from Julian Bishop, anger crept up her face: "What do you mean? Are you accusing me of being an irresponsible mother?"
Julian Bishop: "I didn’t mean that."
Seraphina Vaughn: "That’s exactly what you meant! Don’t think just because you beat around the bush I don’t know what you’re saying. The baby is in me, I know its condition better than you, spare me your arrogance!"
After speaking, Seraphina Vaughn stood inside the door, pushing it forcefully, attempting to close it, but soon realized she couldn’t compete with Julian Bishop’s strength in stopping the door.
"Let go!"
Not only did Julian Bishop not let go, he increased his grip, widening the gap at the door, and slipped inside the room. Then he shut the door with his backhand and once again handed the breakfast to Seraphina Vaughn, "Eat the breakfast, and I’ll leave."
Seraphina Vaughn glared at him angrily, "Who do you think you are to meddle with me?"
Julian Bishop confidently said, "I’m not meddling with you, I’m just looking after the baby. A consistent diet and routine are vital for the baby’s healthy growth."
Seraphina Vaughn retorted, "The baby’s health depends on the mother’s health. If lack of sleep causes me problems, do you think the baby will still be healthy?"
Julian Bishop said calmly, "I haven’t asked you not to sleep; I’m suggesting you eat breakfast before sleeping."
Seraphina Vaughn: "I’m not hungry."
Julian Bishop walked further into the room, speaking as he went, "Then freshen up first, a bit of activity will make you hungry."
Seraphina Vaughn turned and glared at Julian Bishop, watching him place the breakfast on the table by the window, then glanced around the room.
Finally, his gaze landed on the open suitcase by the bed, observing the clothes and toiletries scattered around it, so disorderly that he couldn’t help but frown.
Seraphina Vaughn noticed his gaze and quickly dashed over, crouching down and hurriedly stuffing the scattered items around the suitcase back inside it.
With one hand pressing down the suitcase, and the other pointing at the door, she said to Julian Bishop, "Get out!"
Julian Bishop glanced at the breakfast on the table and said, "I said before, eat the breakfast and I’ll leave."
Seraphina Vaughn knew well that if Julian Bishop decided to stay, there wasn’t much she could do about it.
Although she often participated in outdoor adventure activities, her stamina and strength were considered quite remarkable among most girls.
But just now when Julian Bishop pushed at the door, she understood that she was no match for him in terms of strength.
"I’ll eat soon, just leave first, I need to change clothes."
Julian Bishop, somewhat skeptical, looking sideways at Seraphina Vaughn, glanced at the nude-colored stockings that had fallen onto the bed, and while walking towards the door said, "My room is right opposite yours, 1903, come and find me or call if you need anything."
Seraphina Vaughn replied perfunctorily, "Got it! Hurry up and leave."
After walking a few steps, Julian Bishop turned back for another glance at the bed, then closed the door and left.
Seraphina Vaughn suspiciously walked two steps toward the foot of the bed, following Julian Bishop’s gaze from before, and saw the stockings she’d left on the bed yesterday.
Thinking about it, it’s not something to be ashamed of, but recalling Julian Bishop’s glance just now, Seraphina Vaughn felt embarrassed and annoyed, grabbing the stockings and stuffing them into the laundry bag, muttering under her breath, "Pervert."
Being disturbed by Julian Bishop like that, Seraphina Vaughn’s sleepiness disappeared, after freshening up, her stomach indeed felt hungry.
She walked to the table and carefully opened the bag with breakfast, as the aroma spread, her stomach started to rumble.
Seraphina Vaughn licked her lips and cautiously took the meal box out of the bag, inspecting it meticulously.
The packaging from this store is all sealed, so it shouldn’t have been opened and poisoned by Julian Bishop.
Moreover, she was still carrying Julian Bishop’s child in her belly, no matter how dark and sinister that man might be, he wouldn’t harm his own child.
Thinking like this, Seraphina Vaughn let go of her apprehensions, opened the packaging box, picked up her chopsticks, and began eating heartily.
