Chapter 1343: Blood Killing Tower
Ghost Garb's gaze was cold.
Qin Yi said indifferently, "Don't look at me like that. I don't talk with small fries. Take me to see your Blood Killing Tower Master."
Ghost Garb sneered, "Who do you think you are? Do you think you can just see our Tower Master whenever you want?"
Qin Yi's eyes narrowed slightly, suddenly he flicked his wrist, and the wine in the glass instantly turned into a water arrow shooting out.
Ghost Garb's face changed slightly, his aura surged, and he raised his hand as a gust of palm wind swooped out.
"Boom!"
Unexpectedly, Ghost Garb's palm wind was directly pierced by the water arrow.
"Puff!"
Blood splattered, and Ghost Garb was sent flying back.
The shopkeeper almost wet himself from fear. He thought Ghost Garb would save him, but he didn't expect Qin Yi to injure him with just half a glass of wine.
Ghost Garb got up from the ground, pressing his left hand on his right shoulder, blood seeping through his fingers.
If he hadn't dodged quickly, the water arrow wouldn't have just grazed his flesh but would have pierced his shoulder.
Ghost Garb's expression changed, his eyes filled with dread and fear.
Qin Yi's cultivation exceeded his imagination.
Qin Yi filled himself another cup of wine, took a sip, and looked at Ghost Garb indifferently, "Now do you know what I am? Killing you is like slaughtering a dog. Take me to see your Tower Master. Don't waste my time, don't make me say it a second time. If you want to die, you can refuse."
Ghost Garb's eyes were shadowed, his face twisted.
"Fine, I'll take you to see our Tower Master."
Nobody isn't afraid of death, and Qin Yi's methods terrified him. However, Qin Yi wanted to go to the Blood Killing Tower, and once they reached the place, he'd have his chance for revenge.
Qin Yi slowly stood up and looked at the shopkeeper, "Do you think it's worth it to use your life to pay for this meal?"
"Worth it, absolutely worth it, thank you Young Master Qin for sparing my life, thank you..." The shopkeeper was a clever man, more so than ordinary people. Sometimes, boasting with clever words will only invite disaster. When you should yield, yield; when you should play the fool, play the fool. Nothing is more important than life.
Qin Yi smiled, "You're very perceptive."
"Thank you for the praise, Young Master Qin." The shopkeeper bowed deeply, adopting a very humble posture.
Qin Yi chuckled, then looked at Ghost Garb, "Lead the way."
Ghost Garb cast a gloomy look at Qin Yi, snorted coldly, just about to turn around, when Qin Yi appeared ghost-like in front of him and slapped him.
Qin Yi's strike wasn't fast, yet Ghost Garb turned pale as he realized his cultivation was suppressed, unable to dodge at all.
"Slap!"
The crisp, loud slap made the shopkeeper shiver.
Ghost Garb screamed and flew sideways, heavily crashing to the ground, half of his face bloody and disfigured.
Qin Yi said indifferently, "I don't like your attitude, don't show me a look of resentment. People who bare their teeth at me never survive. If not for needing you to lead the way, you'd already be dead. I'd advise you to learn from the shopkeeper and be smarter."
The shopkeeper nodded and bowed with a smile, knowing a smiling face avoids a slap. His decision to yield was correct.
Qin Yi looked at Ghost Garb, "Get up, lead the way."
His voice was not loud, but it made Ghost Garb jump as if hit by electricity. He rose from the ground, looked at Qin Yi fearfully, bowed, "Young Master Qin, please."
He was terrified of being hit, Qin Yi's cultivation left him in awe. Though filled with resentment, he dared not show any of it on his face. Half his face was smashed, writhing in pain, yet he had to force a smile.
When Qin Yi reached the door, he turned back to the shopkeeper, "Keep my visit to the Blood Killing Tower a secret."
The shopkeeper shivered with fear, "Rest assured, Young Master Qin, I understand, I won't leak a word, or let the heavens strike me down."
"No need, if you leak it, the heavens won't need to strike you down." With that, Qin Yi left the tavern.
The shopkeeper sighed heavily with relief, wiping the cold sweat from his forehead. He understood Qin Yi's words very clearly; if the news leaked, Qin Yi would be the first to kill him, long before the heavens acted.
He looked at those severely injured, knowing Qin Yi's shocking strike earlier had killed more than a dozen people, with a few lucky ones still alive but with broken bones and severe injuries.
"Young Master Qin said the news must not leak, so forgive me you're wronged."
The shopkeeper's eyes turned cold, and with a flash of his figure, he was in front of those people, slashing them dead.
He was a businessman, experienced with all kinds of people, with keen instincts. His gut told him Qin Yi absolutely must not be offended. So, by killing these people, he was also building a good rapport with Qin Yi.
"The waiters were present too, alas..."
The shopkeeper's eyes were cold, unlike his earlier submissive attitude in front of Qin Yi. To survive in Sin City, one not only had to be good at dealing with people but also at handling matters.
...
...
Ghost Garb led Qin Yi for a full three hours.
Finally, they stopped in front of a ruin.
Sin City rarely saw sunlight, and the sky was always gray. This place was full of ruins, with cold winds often blowing, giving the feel of being at a Chaotic Burial Ground.
These people really knew how to choose a place, similar to the Poison Snake Organization's turf.
In fact, because it was gloomy and scary here, most people dared not come, making it a natural barrier.
As Qin Yi and Ghost Garb stepped into the ruins, heads popped out from behind the crumbling walls like ghosts, cold eyes scanning them.
Ghost Garb seemed to have a high status in the Blood Killing Tower, as these people withdrew their heads after observing for a while.
Advancing deeper, Qin Yi surprisingly found a few trees. Because this place rarely saw sunlight, it was hard for plants to survive. These few trees were gray and withered, yet elsewhere, even such trees couldn't be seen.
Beyond the ruins, they arrived at a wide-open area.
Qin Yi paused slightly, before him was a massive cluster of castles, surprisingly intact.
"Ghost Garb, why have you returned?"
Suddenly, in a flash, a blood-red figure appeared before Qin Yi and Ghost Garb. It was an elder, not lacking in cultivation, stronger than Ghost Garb. People of the Blood Killing Tower were all dressed like ghosts.
Qin Yi's lips curled slightly; this person had been tailing them since they entered the ruins, thinking he hadn't been noticed.
Ghost Garb looked at the newcomer, bowing slightly, "Elder Hemp Garb."
Hemp Garb? Ant?
Qin Yi almost laughed, it seemed Blood Killing Tower liked using "Garb" in names.
Hemp Garb looked at Ghost Garb, "You're injured? Who had the guts to harm someone from my Blood Killing Tower? Was it the Soul Chasing Mercenary Group or the Poison Snake Organization?"
"It was me," Qin Yi said with a smile.
Hemp Garb paused, staring at Qin Yi, "Who are you?"
"Qin Yi."
Hemp Garb's face suddenly changed.
He then looked at Ghost Garb, "Did you capture Qin Yi? Ghost Garb, you've made a great contribution this time. Don't forget me when claiming your reward."
