Live-in Son-in-law
Chapter 1344: Brain Disease
Qin Yi's mouth twitched, looking at Mayi as if he were an idiot. Does this guy have a problem with his eyes, or is his mind not normal? Does he look like he's been captured?
Guiyi's mouth also twitched a few times; he was beaten until his mouth was crooked and face slanted. Does this look like he captured Qin Yi?
"Qin Yi wants to see the Tower Master."
"Hm?" Mayi was slightly taken aback, then laughed and said, "It's time to see the Tower Master. Such a big matter, the Tower Master will surely be pleased to know."
Qin Yi couldn't hold back anymore, "Are you mentally challenged or born with an underdeveloped cerebellum? Do I look like I've been captured?"
Mayi was stunned.
Qin Yi frowned, "Take me to see your Tower Master."
Guiyi hurriedly nodded, "Young Master Qin, please follow me."
"Stop."
Just as they were about to leave, Mayi came to his senses and shouted harshly.
Qin Yi turned to look at Mayi, "Is something wrong?"
Mayi looked at Guiyi and said, "You didn't capture him?"
Guiyi didn't want to speak; wasn't this all nonsense? If your eyes aren't blind, you should be able to see.
Mayi's eyes flickered, "Guiyi, what do you mean by this? Bringing Qin Yi back to see the Tower Master; he can't just see the Tower Master whenever he wants."
Suddenly, Qin Yi's figure flashed, directly approaching Mayi.
Mayi's face drastically changed, full of horror, as Qin Yi's speed left him no time to react.
"Bang!"
A crisp, loud slap resonated, causing Mayi to scream miserably, spinning in mid-air and flying out, heavily crashing a hundred meters away, even cracking the ground.
This slap wasn't light, directly smashing Mayi's cheekbone, leaving his mouth crooked, face slanted, half of his face in a bloody mess, mind buzzing, foaming at the mouth, occasionally twitching like someone with epilepsy.
"So much nonsense." Qin Yi looked disgusted, turned to Guiyi, and said, "Is there no one in the Blood Killing Tower? Recruiting all kinds of bizarre things."
Guiyi's mouth twitched slightly, his face still accompanied by a smile. Looking at Mayi twitching on the ground, he felt surprisingly happy. If he could beat him, he would have slapped Mayi himself. Pure lunacy.
"Young Master Qin, this way, please."
Qin Yi nodded slightly, just about to leave when suddenly many blood-clad people rushed out from all around.
These were disciples of the Blood Young Building, possibly drawn by the sound of Mayi's miserable cries.
"All stand down." Guiyi shouted sharply.
The disciples were stunned, looking at Mayi's pitiful state, unsure of what to do.
Guiyi's face darkened, "What, my words don't count anymore? Get lost, all of you."
Only then did the disciples come to their senses, dispersing like birds. ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐ท๐๐ฟ๐๐ต.๐๐๐
Guiyi looked apologetically at Qin Yi, "Young Master Qin, I apologize for the rude behavior of the juniors. Please forgive them."
Qin Yi laughed and shook his head, "You seem to care quite a bit for your subordinates."
Guiyi froze slightly, caught by Qin Yi's observation. He asked the disciples to retreat entirely out of concern for their safety. Not even he or Mayi were a match for Qin Yi; sending these disciples in would be sending them to their deaths.
Soon after, Qin Yi followed Guiyi to a stone-built great hall.
"Young Master Qin, please wait here, I shall report inside."
Qin Yi nodded slightly.
Guiyi entered and soon came out again.
"Young Master Qin, the Tower Master invites you in."
Qin Yi followed Guiyi inside but was somewhat baffled upon seeing the Tower Master of the Blood Killing Tower. The Tower Master was a woman, an elderly lady with crane-like hair and childlike features.
The old lady sat in a Taishi chair, surprisingly holding an embroidery needle and embroidering. Upon hearing footsteps, she looked up at Qin Yi, then lowered her head, busying herself with her work.
"Tower Master, Qin Yi is here."
"Come, sit." The old lady spoke, her voice full of the weight of years, indicating her advanced age.
However, the old lady's tone was as casual as if chatting at home.
Guiyi said, "Young Master Qin, please sit."
Qin Yi walked over to a chair and sat down.
The old lady focused on the half-embroidered flower, then reached over to take a teacup from a side table, picked up a teapot, poured a cup of tea, and flicked her wrist, sending the teacup shooting towards Qin Yi like an arrow.
"Please have some tea."
Throughout, the old lady never raised her head.
But this skill and strength showcased her terrifying cultivation, at least on par with the Seven-inch Snake.
Qin Yi smiled faintly, surrounded by flickering Purple Light, and an invisible force stopped the teacup mid-air. The teacup spun around, but not a drop of tea spilled.
Soon after, Qin Yi reached out, took the teacup down, took a sip, and said, "The tea's cold."
Only then did the old lady set down her embroidery, look at Guiyi, and say, "Go brew a fresh pot of tea for Young Master Qin."
Guiyi nodded slightly, asking Qin Yi to wait, then slowly retreated.
The old lady sized up Qin Yi, "Regardless of anything else, speaking of looks alone, I've lived over two hundred years, and rare are those as handsome as Young Master Qin."
Qin Yi shrugged, "Everyone says so."
The old woman smiled gently, as kind as a neighborly grandmother. But only fools would mistake the Tower Master of the Blood Killing Tower for a kindly old neighbor.
"Qin Yi, everyone in Sin City is looking for you. My Blood Killing Tower is too. Yet you bring yourself here willingly. Should I commend your bravery or call you foolish for walking into a trap?"
Qin Yi shrugged, "I enjoy being praised."
"At the very least, there must be a reason for praise."
Qin Yi pondered, "I'm here to offer money; how's that for a reason?"
"I've heard from Guiyi that you have a significant deal to discuss with me. Tell me, how big a deal? I hope it's worth more than the Sword Sect's bounty on you."
Qin Yi laughed, "Several billions, maybe tens of billions, or even more gold coins. How does that compare to the measly sum the Sword Sect offered?"
The old lady looked at Qin Yi, her kindly smile yet giving an icy chill, "Tell me."
"..."
"..."
Ten minutes later, Guiyi returned with freshly brewed tea.
But upon entering the hall, he couldn't help but shiver. The entire floor was covered in cracks; the two rows of chairs on either side had turned to powder; only the chair Qin Yi sat on was intact. Most startling, the Tower Master had traces of blood at the corners of her mouth.
The old lady watched Qin Yi with icy cold eyes, the atmosphere oppressively tense.
Guiyi, carrying the tea under this oppressive atmosphere, sweat dripped from his forehead. Without asking, it was clear Qin Yi and the Tower Master had exchanged blows, and the Tower Master had lost, suffering injuries.
"Guiyi, serve Young Master Qin the tea."
Guiyi hurriedly responded, stepping forward to pour Qin Yi a cup of hot tea, "Young Master Qin, please."
Qin Yi nodded slightly, raised the teacup, and sipped, casually commenting, "Whatever the tea is, it's better hot."
The old lady looked at Qin Yi, "This deal, my Blood Killing Tower will take."
Qin Yi was not surprised, laughing, "A wise decision."
Guiyi was curious; during his ten-minute absence, what had Qin Yi and the Tower Master discussed?
