Live-in Son-in-law
Chapter 1342: Ghost Robe
The person who made a move wasn't highly cultivated, only at the Nascent Soul Realm. He struck with all his might, yet Qin Yi caught the blade between two fingers, rendering it immobile.
"Clang!"
With a twist of Qin Yi's fingers, the blade snapped. With a flick of his wrist, the half blade pierced through the opponent's body. The terrifying force sent the person flying, smashing a table into pieces.
Effortlessly slaughtered.
This sent a chill down the spines of those present, finally pulling them back to their senses.
Everyone looked at Qin Yi with fear and horror.
Qin Yi sneered, "If you wish to die, come forth, but first, check if your necks are sturdy enough. Even the Sword Sect can't do anything to me, and you insignificant lot want my life? You're dreaming."
Their eyes flickered with greed. Five million gold coins, ten thousand high-grade Earth Spirit Stones, and a position as a Sealing Sword Sect elder. All of this seemed more compelling than Qin Yi's words.
They feared Qin Yi's Cultivation but held onto the hope; fortune lies amidst danger, and what if they manage to kill Qin Yi?
"Let's all attack together and cut him to death."
Someone remained rational, understanding one person couldn't kill Qin Yi, so they suggested attacking together. Even a tiger struggles against a pack of wolves; two fists can't fend off four hands.
This proposal resonated with everyone; they prepared, eager and menacing.
Qin Yi smirked, "You lot, without causing you pain, you'll never learn a lesson, how pitiful."
With that, he formed a seal single-handedly, Purple Light surged; a terrifying Big Palm Print instantly coalesced in the air.
Qin Yi raised his hand and pressed down hard, shaking it forcefully.
"Boom!"
The terrifying handprint descended with apocalyptic might.
In an instant, the entire building trembled, dust fell rapidly, the first floor's hall was destroyed, tables and chairs turned to dust, the ground cracked, and terrifying fissures spread like a giant centipede, even covering the walls in dense cracks.
Dust and debris swept through.
After a long while, the dust settled, the ground was stained scarlet.
Over a dozen people were directly crushed into pulp by the giant hand, blood stained the ground.
Those lucky enough to survive suffered broken bones and tendons, life or death unknown.
The shopkeeper was scared witless.
Especially the waiter, whose eyes rolled back in terror, trembling all over, nearly fainting.
Qin Yi chuckled coldly, gesturing to the shopkeeper, "Come, have a seat."
The shopkeeper knew he couldn't escape in front of Qin Yi. Trembling, he walked over, standing respectfully before the table.
"Sit," Qin Yi said.
The shopkeeper shivered, "I dare not, standing is fine. How could a little man like me sit with Young Master Qin."
Qin Yi smiled.
"Relax, as long as you can help me with something, I might spare your life."
The shopkeeper nodded eagerly with flattery, "Please, Young Master Qin, speak. Not one, even if it's ten or eight tasks, I will do my utmost to help you."
"You don't need to do ten or eight, just one. I want to meet people from the Blood Killing Tower, have your people notify them, I'll be waiting here."
The shopkeeper thought he misheard, wasn't this asking him to fetch reinforcements?
Qin Yi raised his gaze, looking at the dazed shopkeeper, "What, is it very difficult?"
"Not at all, I'll handle it right away," the shopkeeper hurriedly replied. Such a simple task, beneficial to him, was basically a chance to live. Even if he were foolish, he wouldn't say it was unmanageable.
The shopkeeper turned, beckoning to the utterly scared waiter in the distance, "You, come here."
The waiter was truly scared witless. Go over? Wouldn't that be courting death? With a scream, he turned and ran, only to forget there was a pillar behind him, knocking himself unconscious after bumping into it.
The shopkeeper's face darkened, this useless thing. He cast a glance at Qin Yi; seeing Qin Yi's unchanged expression, he quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
"Shunzi, come here."
The shopkeeper called to an employee hiding behind the counter.
The employee hiding behind the counter looked horror-stricken, face pale as a sheet, wanting to knock himself out too, but the shopkeeper was watching. Doing so would seem too deliberate, and the shopkeeper would not spare him afterward, so he braced himself, praying, and walked over trembling.
The shopkeeper grabbed him, "Go find Elder Ghost Robe immediately, say someone wants to see him, understand?"
The waiter was stunned; seeking help in front of Qin Yi—this was suicidal, wasn't it?
"Go, what are you staring for?"
At the shopkeeper's angry shout, this fool kept delaying; this was a matter of life and death for the shopkeeper. Only by summoning Elder Ghost Robe would he have a chance to survive.
The waiter shivered, turned, and sprinted away.
The shopkeeper turned back to Qin Yi, full of flattery, "Young Master Qin, please wait a moment, they'll be right here."
Qin Yi nodded slightly.
"Young Master Qin, I see the dishes have gone cold. Shall I have the kitchen make a few more for you?"
Qin Yi shook his head.
"Then let me serve you a pot of fine wine," Qin Yi shook his head again.
Cold sweat trickled down the shopkeeper's face, "Young Master Qin, what else can I do for you then?"
"Just keep your mouth shut."
The shopkeeper nodded hurriedly, standing with hands down, not daring to make a sound.
Qin Yi enjoyed his meal and wine, waiting for the people from the Blood Killing Tower to arrive.
After about an hour, just as Qin Yi grew impatient, a red figure suddenly appeared in the hall.
An elder came, wearing blood-red robes, a curved blade at his waist.
The attire of the Blood Killing Tower.
Qin Yi's mouth curved slightly upward, finally someone of interest appeared. Unification Late Stage, the Cultivation wasn't weak. Looked like this was the Ghost Robe Elder the shopkeeper mentioned.
Ghost Robe scanned around, then fixed his gaze on Qin Yi.
The shopkeeper, seeing Ghost Robe, finally felt his anxiety ease but remained respectfully in front of Qin Yi, not daring to move.
Until it was determined if Elder Ghost Robe could suppress Qin Yi, it was best for him to behave. His foothold in Sin City was due to cautiousness.
"Are you Qin Yi?"
Qin Yi glanced up, smiled slightly, nodded, "Come, have a seat."
Ghost Robe didn't move forward but stared coldly at Qin Yi, "I heard you're looking for my Blood Killing Tower."
Qin Yi nodded, "I have a business proposal to discuss with you."
Ghost Robe sneered, "So, are you planning to hand me your head so I can collect a reward from the Sword Sect? There hasn't been a bigger business than that so far."
Qin Yi waved a finger, "Your vision is too narrow. The Sword Sect's paltry bounty is only worth your attention. The business I'm proposing offers profits dozens of times the Sword Sect's reward. Interested?"
Ghost Robe's eyes flickered, "Let's hear it."
Qin Yi chuckled, "First, I need to know if the Blood Killing Tower answers to you. If you have no decision-making power, speaking to you is a waste of breath."
