Legendary Beast Tamer: Starting With Legendary Rank Sword
Chapter 129: Doctor Ella
With the help of the crew member guiding them, Felix and others descended into the ground. Doctor Eleanor then led them to a white van, where a beautiful woman with ash-white hair was waving her arm at them.
Doctor Eleanor could barely hold her excitement as she increased her pace. She immediately hugged the beautiful woman and exclaimed, "I miss you so much, Ella!"
Doctor Ella hugged her tightly and exclaimed the same sentiments as Doctor Eleanor. They hugged tightly for a while until they felt the presence of Felix and others as Ella swept her gaze at them.
While hugging Eleanor, she stared at Felix with beaming smile and waved at him. "You’re Felix, right?"
Felix nodded and was about to feel elated for a doctor was familiar with him when Krisha grumbled. "I know this will happen."
Felix sighed.
Doctor Eleanor immediately pulled herself from Ella and positioned herself to stand beside her.
She faced Felix and others and introduced Doctor Ella to them.
"Ella, this is Felix, one that I talked about, and his family, including her sister, Mia, who was in the coma."
Doctor Ella waved her hand at Mia, who instantly felt shy and hid behind Krisha’s back.
Doctor Eleanor said, "That’s Krisha Chambers, the only daughter of Timothy Chambers II."
Doctor Ella beamed a smile at Krisha and waved at her. Krisha waved back with a smile.
She said, "I know you, I’ve watched your duel live. You were gorgeous and stunning. How I wish I can be like you."
Faced with a sudden compliment, Krisha felt flattered. She giggled and replied, "Thank you."
Doctor Eleanor said, "The duel happened in his dojo. That’s Master Shen. He’ll be accompanying us, too."
Doctor Ella appeared surprised and turned towards her, asking, "That’s it?"
Doctor Eleanor was puzzled. "What do you mean?"
"That’s only your introduction to him? Not "my boyfriend, my suitor, my love of my life" or some sort?"
Doctor Eleanor was taken aback. Her heart skipped a beat. She glanced at Master Shen, and the latter met her gaze. Even when Master Shen tried his best to hide it, his cheeks reddened and his eyes sparkled with embarrassment.
Doctor Eleanor’s heart raced, awakening her from her stupor. She sharply turned towards Doctor Ella and slapped her shoulder.
She was supposed to restrain her strength, but the intense emotion made her forget to hold back, causing Doctor Ella to groan in agony.
She frowned and turned towards Doctor Eleanor, who were hand-fanning her reddened face.
She smiled. "I was just teasing you, alright."
She peeked at Master Shen, who was gazing at the horizon, attempting to hide the embarrassment he felt.
Doctor Ella sighed. Romance at this point in life sure is strange.
She glanced at Felix’s parents and greeted them. Afterwards, she invited them to her humble van and continued the conversation inside as her personal driver drove them to Ella’s residence.
Inside, Doctor Eleanor, after finally simmering down, introduced Doctor Ella to them.
Her tone was filled with enthusiasm. "She is Doctor Ella, my colleague. We were in the same batch during my study in Clark University. She’s working now as a Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Neurological Suspension and Consciousness Recovery in the central hospital under the authority of the National Beast Medical Council.
It’s pretty much similar to the specialized field I’ve been working on."
Doctor Ella beamed a smile after seeing Felix’s parents being astonished after hearing about her background. She couldn’t deny she was a bit flattered, especially when even Felix and Krisha had their eyes sparkled in amazement.
She gazed at Felix and said, "That’s why after receiving message from Doctor Eleanor directly that the cure of the Sleeping Hollow Disease was called a ritual, I was utterly shocked and thought she had lost her mind. After reading the thesis, I changed my mind and was flabbergasted for days.
It’s really amazing. Is it true that your sword provided the cure?"
Felix nodded. "That’s right." He summoned Rain from his beast space as he brought it forward for her to gaze up close.
Doctor Ella was thrilled to examine the exquisite sword in front of her. The aura emitted from the sword also sent a bone-chilling sensation, causing her to gulp.
That’s really an otherworldly sword. If it retains the memory of its previous world, then it makes sense that it produces a cure.
She asked, stuttering, "H-Have you talk with him about his previous world? As far as I remember, all the summoning came from different dimensions. However, not a single incident in the history that the beasts we’ve summoned recalled their memories of their previous world."
Doctor Eleanor giggled. "In the first place, when we summoned our companion, they were still baby. Even when they occasionally receive memories of their ancestor whenever they evolved, it barely helps us understand their world.
This sword might be different. It might have an owner in the past before it was summoned by Felix."
Doctor Ella nodded. She asked Felix, "Did it tell you that his world was advanced? Way advanced than ours?"
Felix felt conflicted. He asked Guide and relayed what he received.
"I wouldn’t say advance in a way that we are, like technology. If you’ve read the thesis, you’ll know it—that’s why it’s called ritual."
Doctor Ella was taken aback. She leaned her back to hear seat and fell into deep contemplation.
Ritual... It’s such an ancient and primitive way of curing an individual, even less effective I believe if it involves physical diseases.
But Sleeping Hollow Disease turns out not a simple physical disease as it involves soul alignment.
How brilliant...
Doctor Ella could only sigh in wonder.
Felix suddenly said, "Don’t worry. If there’s incurable disease and Rain has a cure for it, I definitely won’t be selfish and greedy. I don’t want others to be in the same situation as ours."
Doctor Ella was surprised. She stared at Felix and bowed deeply.
"I personally thank you on behalf of everyone. You are a gift from God."
Felix was embarrassed. He could only nod in response...
