Chapter 155: Chapter 155: First Moon For The Queen

Days passed and the day of the full moon came.

" You sure she’ll be okay?" Mrs Ladros asked with worry while tightly gripping her daughter’s hands.

Adrian nodded, " Don’t worry Ma’am, it’s safe, after tonight, Annie will be a werewolf as well."

They nodded but they seemed reluctant to let her go. " Mommy what’s happening, is something wrong with big sister?"

Annie’s little brother asked. Annie hugged both the twins. " Don’t worry, big sister will be fine, I’ll be back soon okay?"

The twins nodded their little heads and watched as Annie left with Adrian. In the underground bunker.

Nearly a hundred people were waiting and that was not even counting those who were already werewolves.

These were just the new recruits, " Where did you get so many people?" He asked Diego.

He noticed most of them were women. " I contacted my former friends, some deal in..very shady business."

He raised an eyebrow, " So you kidnapped these women?"

Diego shook his head, " No, well I mean some were trafficked by those guys but I gave them a choice.

I promised to send them back home to their families and friends or they could work for me.

I didn’t specify what they would be doing but they had already been sent to prostitution so they didn’t care for much anymore.

There were many more than this actually, nearly 200 total but most chose to go back to their old lives, we gave them some money and let them go."

He nodded and Annie nodded with him as if agreeing with what he did. " It must’ve cost you a lot to buy all of them."

Diego just smiled, " Yeah, it would’ve, if I had bought them."

Adrian wondered what he meant by that and he saw Diego giving Isabella a glance, she looked down as if embarrassed.

" Well, I’m sorry lord Adrian but they just pissed me off, the way they treated these women.."

He raised a hand to stop her, " I don’t really care what you did, as long as you didn’t draw too much attention to us."

She nodded, " I didn’t I swear, I made sure to clean up the mess afterwards."

Isabella suddenly felt a soft hand grab hers. " I think you and I are going to be great friends."

She noticed Annie standing very close to her with a huge smile and she got startled. Isabella knew this girl, every werewolf did.

" My lady." She bowed her heard which caught Annie off guard, she looked at Adrian like she was expecting him to say something.

He just shrugged. Annie dragged Isabella to where Suzie was standing and they started talking.

It was a few hours before the moon reached its peak so they had some time. " What about the men" he asked.

Of the 98 new recruits, 38 were men who looked both muscular and skinny at the same.

They were all muscle and bones without any fat, it was obvious they had malnutrition but was forced to work hard still.

" Slaves, they were taken from their homes to be used as mining slaves in an illegal mine operation.

Isabella and I destroyed that operation and rescued them and here they are."

He nodded and continued watching. The new recruits had been divided into 13 groups.

Each of the Gemma took a group to join their lineage. Sam and Suzie took the lowest number.

Including Diego and Isabella, Sam’s lineage only had five members. Suzie’s lineage was even smaller.

It had the girl Naija and she also took three new recruits. There was something he didn’t mention about lineages.

Those of the same lineage have a higher chance of awakening similar abilities to their sire which is why most omega had weapon type abilities.

It’s also why Naija’s ability was a mid range type. It was because her sire was the only werewolf with a long range ability besides Adrian.

Isabella and Diego had speed enhancement types. Diego can create a silver aura that make him more wild.

His speed increases and so does his savagery like a wild rabid wolf. Isabella’s ability increases her perception.

She can see the world moving in slow motion. The ones who took the most of the new recruits were Melissa and Athi.

Athi said she needed to create spies and scouts for the pack so she alone took 20 women. Melissa took 15 men and 10 women, only those who were physically stronger than others.

The only reason she even took women was because she was uncomfortable with a lineage of only men.

Her idea was creating a war army to serve the pack. The others didn’t argue with them so Adrian had no reason to say anything.

Finally the time came, the room was sealed and everybody was tied to the wall with silver chains.

Adrian stabbed himself in the heart with a silver sword which startled Annie and almost froze her heart to death.

She sighed with relief when she realised he was alive but his face was pale. He had explained the weaknesses of werewolves to her.

So she was deeply surprised by what he had just done. ’ Isn’t silver to the heart supposed to kill werewolves.

Also, can’t they create some sort of armour for the heart then?’ She wondered to herself but said nothing.

The moon came, actually there was no moon in the black market, there was no sun either.

Time was measured by aligning it with the outside world. Unfortunately the curse of the werewolves didn’t work like that.

It didn’t matter if the moonlight was shining on them. As long as the moon sat above in the real world, the curse would activate.

The transformations started, it was worse for the new recruits and Annie. The first transformation was very painful.

Adrian kept his attention on Annie, even he couldn’t maintain his full sanity during the full moon but he can handle it better than others.

However Annie appeared to be different, her form was similar to Suzie’s in that it was more hunched.

In fact she looked even less like a werewolf and more like a giant wolf. However she was still a werewolf and can stand on her legs just fine.

Her form was not large, it was lithe and covered in thick pitch black fur, especially around her neck like a lion’s mane.

However what caught him off guard the most was the sanity in her eyes. She was growling like others but it was clear she more sane.

As sane as he was in fact, then she turned her head and looked at him and he could swear she smiled.
