Adrian turned around but saw nothing but he didn’t doubt Annie. Perhaps she hadn’t seen Eve but a spirit was certainly here.

A ghostly spirit at that. He used Lunar realm but didn’t see anything and gave up. Annie looked around in confusion.

" I.. thought." Adrian hugged her tighter, her family surrounded them.

" I’ve made up my mind, I don’t like this Adrian but it doesn’t seem like we have much of a choice.

Whether you’re here or not, it’s very obvious those things will keep coming, the safest place for my family is next to you."

Adrian nodded, " I’m glad to hear that Mr Ladros, if you’ve decided then I suggest we leave immediately."

" I’ll go pack." Annie followed her mother inside to start packing while her father discussed the next course of action with Adrian.

" So you’re saying we’ll have to hide in this black market? Until when?" Mr Ladros didn’t sound like he liked that plan.

Adrian shook his head, " No no, I will and I think Annie will want to stay with me, this city has been surrounded.

Considering they know who you are now, I doubt you can leave here safely. So we’ll use the black market as a bridge.

We will just have to pay extra to allow you to go to another place, perhaps another country or continent."

Mr Ladros nodded, " I don’t know how that works boy so I’ll leave everything to you, our lives rest in your hands now."

Adrian nodded, less than two hours later, they were called into the house to carry the bags.

Both were taken by suprise by how much luggage the women had packed. Adrian shook his head.

" I’m sorry but you can’t bring this much luggage where we’re going. You’ll have to leave most of this and take only essentials."

They looked dejected but didn’t argue, they left most of the bags, took a few clothes and other necessities.

They went out, " So we’re leaving now?" Annie asked sounding quite reluctant to leave.

Adrian understood, she had friends here and leaving everything behind for an uncertain future would certainly be a hard choice.

" We’ll leave soon, I just need to take care of something first." Before they could say anything.

A flame lit up on his palm drawing their attention. They had already seen him using abilities.

But creating fire was a common supernatural ability in fiction, seeing it being brought to reality was a wonder.

Just as they were wondering what he was planning to do, he threw the flame on their house.

Mr Ladros reacted instinctively to stop him while his wife closed her eyes to not see. The house lit up in flames so high they lit up the entire neighborhood.

" What did you do, that’s my house!" Mr Ladros shouted. Adrian just shrugged like it was nothing.

" That house had a strong scent of you and many things of value. They could be used to track you."

Even though they didn’t understand, they didn’t argue further. Besides, the house was already in flames and there was nothing they could do about it.

Adrian’s flames were hot enough to melt steel so in only a few seconds most things in the house were already ashes.

They saw houses lighting up, the neighbours were waking up, " It’s time to go."

He gave each of them a single black market ticket, told them to cover their heads with anything to hide their faces.

Then he dorned his own cloak which made his fox tail stronger. This way, his enemies wouldn’t recognise him.

He crushed the ticket and a gate appeared, they went through before the neighbours could arrive.

By time people reacted and called the fire department, they were long gone. Across the street, a black car was packed around a corner.

Two men could be seen standing there watching everything. " Have you accepted it little brother?"

The younger of the two nodded. " Yeah, there’s nothing for me here anymore, it’s time to go home."

His older brother smiled, " Don’t be sad little bro, she was never going to be yours, let’s go."

They got in the car and drove off heading out of the city where a private jet was waiting for them.

As soon as Adrian and the Ladros appeared in the black market, Suzie was already there waiting.

She had rented and closed off this gate for a few hours which cost her a lot but it was worth it.

It was not like she was using her personal funds for this. She received Adrian and led them towards the hideout.

The place was quite secluded, it was a two story building made of dark brick as hard as steel.

Renting it was expensive let alone buying it, they might not be able to do that for the next two years.

Fortunately this place had a large enough yard but most of all, it had an underground bunker that was incredibly huge.

" Welcome boss!" The werewolves went on their knees and shouted as one as soon as Adrian appeared.

Annie paused, then gave him a side glance. Adrian felt embarrassed and scratched the back of his head.

" Suzie, get them settled." Most of the werewolves lived in the underground bunker so there was enough space in this two story building.

Suzie led the Ladros family upstairs with Louis following behind them with a giant smile.

She kept looking at the twins like they were some toys. Her husband just smiled sadly but said nothing.

Adrian sat down with Annie. Sam and Suzie arrived to report. Athi had scouted the black market.

Her ability plus the ring made it nearly impossible to detect her, only those really powerful monsters or those with special abilities can sense her.

She learnt a bit about their enemies, fortunately their leader is an exiled member of the Avian race.

Plus they didn’t know Adrian and the others were werewolves and the thing they used to track them before didn’t work with the rings on.

Adrian was just glad they wouldn’t have to fight the entire Avian race. Being in the black market was not perfectly safe.

The only reason they chose to stay here is because of the rules of this place. Adrian listened to their reports and just kept nodding.

Annie giggled, she had noticed Adrian had long dozed off, he wasn’t hearing anything those two were saying.
