"Mm," Jane Sampson responded with a muffled voice and nodded, "Every time I come here, it’s really hard to say goodbye to my grandparents."

Jane Sampson pouted, "It’s a pity that my grandparents don’t like living in the city district. Otherwise, if the distance were shorter, I could visit and keep them company more often."

Jane always felt that her grandparents were a bit lonely living in the countryside.

If only she hadn’t grown up, it would have been so much better, just like when she was a child, without a care in the world, happily staying by her grandparents’ side, laughing and enjoying each day to its fullest.

"You’re returning to the film crew tomorrow?" James Black suddenly asked.

"Yes, my flight is at half past seven tomorrow morning, and I have a script in the afternoon," Jane Sampson nodded. "After finishing the drama here, I have two days to rest before starting other work."

"You’ve arranged it so tightly, do you think you’re a spinning top?" James frowned.

However, hearing that Jane Sampson had at least arranged two days off, James’s expression relaxed a bit, "Are those days over the weekend?"

"Sure," Jane nodded with an expression that clearly showed she couldn’t be bothered to get out of the car.

James took some change and got out of the car. Once he was a good distance away, Jane instantly perked up with spirit!

This route wasn’t the way home at all! It was on the way to the guard team’s place!

This guy was up to something!

Jane grabbed her backpack. She didn’t bother with her luggage since all her important documents were in her bag.

Getting out of the car, Jane ran like mad toward the crossroads, with only one goal in mind: to hail a taxi and get as far away as she could for now.

When James came out of the shop with the water, he instinctively glanced towards the car. His eyesight was excellent, and despite the distance, he immediately noticed the car was empty, with no one inside.

James suddenly felt a headache coming on. He had speculated that Jane might have caught wind of something, but since she acted so well, he hadn’t thought she would have actually run away! Returning to the car, he found Jane’s luggage still in the trunk, but her small bag was gone with her.

He got into the car, drove less than 200 meters back, and then saw the back of someone wildly running ahead. James honked the car horn as he approached, only to realize.

Well, his wife was running even faster.

Jane was also lucky. Hearing the horn behind her, she instantly thought James had caught up and ran even harder. She reached the crossroads just as an empty taxi pulled up. Jane dashed towards it, panting as she told the driver, "Driver, home!" while turning her head to see the car that was quickly closing the distance.

"Driver, please, drive!" Jane urged in desperation.
