Chapter 474: Chapter 482: We Learn from You

"You got married?" James Black’s voice suddenly turned cold, "Why haven’t I received your marriage application? Guard team members, without any proof, who issued you a marriage certificate? Have you learned nothing about organizational discipline?"

The young team member holding the marriage certificate looked at James with a dumbfounded expression, clearly frightened by his stern tone. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

"Not married, married..." Realizing he couldn’t explain it clearly, the young team member simply opened the marriage certificate to show James, then with a proud look on his face, said, "Chief, look, we followed your example and made a marriage certificate with Goddess Sampson! From now on, Goddess Sampson is our wife too!"

"Chief, the marriage certificate should have arrived earlier, but there were so many being made in the guard team that the manager delayed shipping until now. Chief, everyone knows you made a marriage certificate with Goddess Sampson, and they are all so envious! The Chief truly lives up to his title, even chasing stars with more savvy than us! Smart!" someone echoed.

"This marriage certificate, I’m going to keep it at the head of my bed and take good care of it!" someone else added.

And James Black’s complexion darkened with each and every remark. By the time he saw that every person had a red marriage certificate in their hands, each with a group photo of them and Jane Sampson, his face turned a shade of steel blue.

And Jane Sampson, on the phone, listened to every word said by the group of team members without missing a single one.

She was stunned for a good few seconds before asking, "James, did you really take the marriage certificate to the guard team to show them?"

"Hmm." James’s voice was chillingly cold, "Any problem with that?"

"Then, none of them believed it and thought you had gotten a fake certificate on the internet, so they followed suit and made fake ones, too?" After asking, Jane couldn’t hold back her laughter, "James! Hahahaha, no, I can’t, I’m going to die laughing! Just let me laugh for a bit, I’ll call you back later!"

With that, Jane Sampson hung up the phone, and just before disconnecting, her devilishly infectious laughter could still be heard, indicating that she truly was about to laugh herself to death.

James, with a mobile phone in his hand, had a further darkened expression, and the group of people on the other end, still laughing with mouths wide open, finally slowly realized that their Chief’s expression was off, and the tone of his voice during the recent phone call was very wrong too.

Without any prior arrangement, they all subconsciously hid the marriage certificates behind their backs, and those who were further away from James had already started to run.

James snorted. Very well, this bunch of dumbfounded ones had finally realized they had done something wrong.

"All attention! Stand at attention! Stand easy!" James’s gaze swept over toward those who were still undecided about whether to keep running or not, "If you don’t come here, do I need to personally invite you back?"

His tone and expression were nonchalant, but it sent shivers down the spines of the people on the other side.

Going back, there would certainly be consequences.

Running, they were sure to not get away without a serious reprimand.

Seeing the people on the other side growing more troubled, James uttered three words, "Roll back here."

Then, without paying any more attention to them, he walked into the middle of the crowd, picked up the box of express deliveries, looked down, and saw that many had not received these "marriage certificates"—there were at least twenty-something still in the box.

"Return the ones you took." James put the box back on the ground, his hands behind his back. Seeing the group in front of him remain motionless, he gave them a piercing look, "Not moving? Are you waiting for me to take action?"

"We’re moving! Moving!" Someone hastily responded from below, quickly stepped forward to return the marriage certificates they had back to the box, then retreated.
