Chapter 1328: Chapter 1336: Brief Parting Better Than New Marriage

Jane Sampson’s car windows were closed, so people outside could only vaguely see that the driver was a woman, but couldn’t make out the driver’s face.

"They must think a female driver behind the wheel of this kind of car is super cool, really stylish, and quite an eyecatcher," Jane Sampson felt very good about herself.

James Black glanced at the dashboard and then let out a cold snort, "In this top-end off-road vehicle, on the airport road with a max speed limit of 120 km/h, you are in the slow lane cruising at the speed of a tortoise at 60 km/h. What do you think makes them look at you?"

Jane Sampson touched the tip of her nose, thought for a moment, and imitated Peter Gingery’s tone, whispering, "Are they wondering if this woman is an idiot? A car worth over 5 million being driven at the speed of a Chery QQ car, is she stupid?"

At least, that’s how Peter Gingery had once joked about others, so Jane had imitated his tone spot on.

James Black laughed softly, thinking she wouldn’t understand.

"It’s very late. Either you speed up and slowly change lanes to the far left, or you stop the car in the upcoming temporary docking bay area and let me drive. I don’t want to get home past around 1 or 2 in the morning," James Black gently rubbed Jane’s head, "Be good, listen to me."

Jane Sampson pouted, knowing that James had a point. With the way she was driving, she had no idea when she’d get home, so when they reached the temporary docking bay area ahead, Jane reluctantly stopped the car and stepped out.

James waited until Jane got out of the car and came over to the passenger seat, then stretched out his hand, hinting her to hand over the car key before he would open the door and get out.

But he wasn’t in a hurry to take back Jane’s car key, instead, he took her hand, and with a clever move, he pressed her against the car. After hesitating for a second, he lowered his head and kissed her.

Ever since Jane had run out of the airport and collided into his arms, James had wanted to do this. He had been holding back, holding back, until now.

Jane resisted a bit, hitting James’s arm a few times, but failed to break free and so she went along with it, passionately returning James’s kiss.

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder.

During these two days of a small separation, they both were angry with each other, but upon returning, each harbored a longing in their hearts.

This longing was deep-seated; though well-hidden, once it broke out, it was overwhelming.

On this cold and freezing night, they seemed oblivious to the cold, kissing almost to the point of losing themselves.

Until a car behind them shone its high beams onto the couple, the intense light causing Jane to instinctively close her eyes. James covered her eyes with his hand, and they had no intention of stopping, continuing to kiss.

Jillian Carter didn’t even bother to switch off the bright lights, and upon seeing a car parked in the temporary docking bay area, she slowly drove in, planning to calm down and think about where to go.

After she stopped the car, Jillian realized that there was a couple next to the car, unable to tear themselves away from their kiss, the man covering the woman’s eyes. The light shone on their faces, and Jillian could clearly see them kissing, even the entanglement of their tongues.

"Shameless couple!" Unable to vent her anger, Jillian pounded on the car horn a few times, and the vehicle let out a loud honk.
