Yandere Milfs Devouring In Eroge Game
Chapter 131: The Selection
’She is always thinking three steps ahead,’ Kai thought, thoroughly impressed by her tactical mind.
’She’s right. The Matriarch invited Kael to the palace. If I slip up and reveal my true identity, Meriel might hear the rumors before I am ready to strike.’
"You’re a very smart woman," Kai praised her, kissing her forehead.
"I’m a survivor," Yena corrected him. "And starting tomorrow, I am your new tactical advisor."
The night passed peacefully, entirely free of the restless frustration that had plagued them previously.
Morning sunlight eventually crept through the balcony doors, warming the cool room. Kai woke up feeling refreshed and incredibly focused. The buzzing energy in his veins felt purposeful now.
He sat up and swung his legs over the edge of the mattress.
Yena stirred beside him, stretching her sore muscles with a contented sigh.
She looked beautiful in the morning light, her tough exterior softened by the lingering intimacy of the night.
"Get dressed," Kai told her, tossing her cotton shirt onto the bed.
"We have an invitation to the royal palace, and we need to plan our entrance. The Matriarch is expecting a lone gladiator, so bringing you along will require a very good story."
Kai stepped onto the loose white sand and adjusted his grip on his voidglass dagger.
Hundreds of noblewomen occupied the shaded viewing tiers above, chattering loudly while fanning themselves with dyed palm leaves.
They were hungry for blood and spectacle, so Kai intended to give them exactly what they wanted.
Looking around the pit, he counted thirty other men waiting for the horn to sound. Most of them gripped rusted weapons with trembling fingers.
Some wore fresh slave brands on their shoulders, forced into this brutal meat grinder for the entertainment of the ruling class. Kai didn’t feel any pity for them because hesitation in this pit meant certain death.
’They are just stepping stones,’ Kai thought, rolling his shoulders to loosen the tension in his muscles.
’I need to make a statement loud enough to reach the throne, so I cannot hold anything back today.’
He glanced toward the highest balcony decorated with trailing red silks.
The Scarlet Matriarch sat comfortably on an elevated throne carved from bleached bone. Her face remained hidden behind a sheer golden veil, but her piercing crimson eyes locked directly onto him.
She possessed an aura of suffocating authority that commanded the entire amphitheater without her speaking a single word.
A loud brass horn echoed across the arena, signaling the start of the Crimson Selection.
Five desperate fighters charged straight at Kai, hoping to eliminate the unarmed stranger early.
Kai stood perfectly still and let them close the distance. He tapped into his freezing mana and stomped his boot hard onto the shifting ground.
"Glacial Step," Kai said quietly.
A blinding ring of blue frost erupted from his heel and raced across the arena floor. The loose sand froze into a solid, slippery sheet of blue ice in the blink of an eye.
The charging men lost their footing immediately and crashed onto the frozen surface. Weapons clattered uselessly out of their reach.
Kai moved forward with practiced grace, letting his instincts take over entirely. He drove his purple blade cleanly through the first man’s chest and moved to the next target before the body even hit the ice.
Another fighter managed to stand up and swing a jagged iron club toward Kai’s head. Ducking smoothly under the wild swing, Kai drove his knee into the man’s ribs and slashed his throat with a cold, calculated strike.
He fought like a predator playing with its food, using his magic to manipulate the battlefield while systematically removing his opponents.
Whenever a group tried to flank him, he threw waves of freezing water to slow their movements.
He shattered frozen weapons with well-placed kicks, leaving men defenseless before delivering the final blow.
The screams of the dying men echoed off the stone walls, blending with the frantic cheers of the audience.
’This is almost too easy,’ Kai thought, freezing a spear shaft and snapping it in half. ’They are fighting to survive, but I am fighting to conquer.’
The noble spectators went completely wild.
They cheered and tossed fragrant flower petals down onto the bloodstained ice, utterly captivated by the ruthless stranger. They had never seen a man fight with such cold precision or command magic so effortlessly.
A few women even leaned dangerously far over the railings, screaming his false name into the hot air.
Only a few minutes passed before Kai stood alone in the center of the ring.
He flicked a few drops of red blood from his dagger and sheathed it at his hip. Looking up at the royal balcony, he met the Scarlet Matriarch’s crimson gaze once again.
She didn’t applaud, but she offered a very slow, deliberate nod of approval.

A side door opened near the arena wall, and a tall female attendant walked out onto the ice. She wore elegant gray robes and carried a small tray.
Stopping a few feet away from Kai, she offered a respectful bow that felt completely out of place in this brutal city.
"You fight beautifully, outsider," the attendant spoke clearly. "The Matriarch finds your performance highly satisfactory."
She reached onto the tray and held out a black envelope sealed with crimson wax.
A single golden rose was stamped deeply into the seal.
"You’ve been chosen for the private trials inside the royal palace," the attendant explained, pressing the envelope into his hand.
"Present this at the sun gate tomorrow morning. Don’t be late."
"Tell your queen I will be there," Kai replied smoothly, slipping the invitation into his pocket.
He turned away from the cheering crowds and walked back into the dark staging tunnel.
The air cooled significantly as he moved away from the sun, but his blood still hummed with leftover adrenaline.
He navigated the winding stone corridors until he finally reached the side exit of the amphitheater.
Yena waited for him near a merchant stall selling spiced wine
