Villain's Path System
Chapter 122: Lessons from the Shameless Master PT 5
Lucian gently placed her down on the solid floor.
"Sera, are you alright...? Hey."
Her arm was completely broken, yet she still tried to act overly tough to hide her pain.
"Ngh... this is nothing, Lucian. Look, I’m perfectly fine—"
Lucian flatly reached out and lightly tapped her broken arm.
"Oww, oww, OWW! Wh-What are you doing?! Are you seriously trying to kill me—?!"
Realizing she had just screamed, she quickly tried to compose herself.
"Heh... I mean, it just hurt only a little bit..."
Lucian gave her an utterly dumbfounded look.
"Just stay still. You’re not fooling anyone."
Extending his hand over her broken limb, he began using his Light Magic to heal her. A warm, soothing golden glow enveloped her skin.
Just then, Elira and Aria rushed over to them.
Pant... pant...
"S-Sera, are you okay?! Hold on, let me hel—" Aria’s eyes suddenly darted toward the glowing aura and blinked a few times in shock as she gasped.
"Lucian... you can use Light Magic...?"
Standing beside her, Elira bluntly smirked for absolutely no reason... Whether that smirk was directed at Sera’s pathetic, broken state or at Lucian casually whipping out high-tier Light Magic, nobody really knew.
Tap... tap...
Footsteps echoed as Myra casually strolled over to the group.
"Oh my... Light Magic. How impressive~" she praised, sounding genuinely amused.
Lucian just shot her a flat look as the golden glow faded, signaling that he was done with the healing.
Sera gasped, flexing her fingers. Her arm was completely back to normal, without even a single scratch left behind.
Aria immediately dropped down and reached out to inspect it, gently poking the healed skin to make sure... while Elira taunted Sera for so foolishly losing her temper and charging in like an idiot.
Myra innocently blinked at Lucian.
"What’s wrong? I’m certain I mentioned something about broken limbs, didn’t I?"
The entire group’s eyes twitched wildly, practically screaming the exact same thought: ’Does this woman possess a heart of stone...?’
She leaned down slightly. "Do not worry yourselves. We still have plenty of time anyway," she said with a blissfully innocent smile.
Everyone just grimaced, suddenly realizing that they were getting way more than what they had bargained for...
A short while later...
Sera, Elira, and Lucian had formed a wide triangle, completely surrounding Myra, who stood casually in the center. The setup was crystal clear: the three strongest prodigies of the current generation versus the absolute strongest teacher.
"Seraphina, are you really fine dear? You can take a break if you want to," Myra offered casually, glancing in her direction.
"No, I am perfectly fine," Sera replied, gripping her sword tightly.
Sitting safely in the far corner, Aria cupped her hands around her mouth and cheered loudly.
"Guys, do your best! I will cheer for you!"
"Okay then... come at me however you like. Do not hold back," Myra declared smoothly. "Your only aim is to force me to move from this spot. That is all for today... now, do not disappoint me."
’She is acting way too smug...’ Lucian muttered internally, a massive drop of sweat sliding down the back of his head.
The moment Myra finished her sentence, Elira was the first to act. She sharply raised her hand, and in an instant, hundreds of jagged ice crystals materialized in the air above her.
All at once, the razor-sharp shards rained down on Myra like a devastating storm. A massive explosion of dust and debris kicked up into the air, completely blinding everyone’s vision. No one could see if Myra had actually moved or not.
Sera just stood there bewildered.
"Oi! I didn’t say you could attack yet!"
"Girls, focus... it’s not over yet," Lucian warned sharply.
As the dust slowly began to settle, a faint silhouette appeared... and then the terrifying truth became visible. Myra hadn’t moved a single inch from her spot. Instead, every single ice shard lay shattered and scattered uselessly around her feet.
None of the three could even comprehend what Myra had just done to deflect all of that.
But there was no time to get lost in thought. Gritting her teeth, Sera tightened her grip on her sword and charged forward once again.
Just like earlier, Myra effortlessly dodged every single frantic slash.
Seeing Sera engaging in high-speed close combat, Elira knew that her ranged attacks wouldn’t work anymore without risking hitting Sera. So, relying purely on her monstrous brute strength, she too leaped right into the fray, turning it into a brutal hand-to-hand combat clash...
Despite their combined efforts and the intensity of their assault, Myra remained untouched, effortlessly evading every blow. She would tilt her head just a single inch, drop her shoulder the next second, lean back, and then lean right back forward. She moved so flawlessly that the girls were only striking at blurry mirages and afterimages... nothing else.
Elira had initially thought this wouldn’t be so hard. Though now, a rare, entirely new expression had surfaced on her usually deadpan face — a twisted kind of battle-crazed excitement. Meanwhile, Sera’s face was etched with nothing but raw, razor-sharp focus.
It was crystal clear that the girls were throwing everything they had into every single move, while Myra was barely even using two percent of her actual strenght.
Standing off to the side, Lucian was sharply analyzing every movement.
’System, do you see any opening?’
[Nah... she is completely out of your league. There isn’t a single flaw or blind spot in her posture.]
’Tch...’ Lucian narrowed his eyes. ’If normal attacks aren’t working, I’ll just have to use some logical strategy... All we need is to force her to take a single step back, after all.’
By now, Sera and Elira’s breathing had grown heavy. Panting for air, the two of them finally leaped back to create some distance.
"Haah... haah..."
In stark contrast, there wasn’t a single drop of sweat on Myra’s body. Then, as if deciding to do something utterly humiliating, she lazily flicked her wrist. A perfectly flattened pillar of stone instantly rose from the ground right beneath her.
She casually sat down on it, crossed her long legs, and lazily gestured for them to come at her with one hand.
"Come on now. I was getting a bit tired of just standing around. Let’s try it like this... I promise I won’t even shift from this seated position, okay?"
She was basically brutally mocking the girls’ inner willpower to the absolute core...
