With the combatants outside having returned from the combat, Pixie also came out with the results of checking everyone’s vitals.

"Good news to everyone, they are fully back in action. They seemed to be still shaken and their vitals seemed to be still shaken but they are in stable condition. A little rest and a filling meal would help a lot in their recovery for sure."

Hearing that, we all sighed in relief. After Pixie gave the result, everyone left the room they were examined with their faces painted with confused expressions.

"Is it true that we all have died?" my father asked still clutching his head.

"Yes, dear. But it’s alright, thanks to all the efforts of our son, we all managed to bring you and everyone else back from the dead," my Mother hugged my Father who was still a bit confused.

"Wait...so we all died? The last thing I remember is that we are currently fighting against the Goddess of Death and well...everything was a blur after that," Renatta frowned as she tried to recall more but knowing that she had died after the encounter, I doubt she would be able to recall anything beyond that.

"Then, since we died, we didn’t respawn like how it once was supposed to happen if we died?"

I shook my head. "Yes. Even resurrection magic does not even help at all, forcing me to go on a quest to find the item that would bring you all back from death."

"If that is the case, did we finally win? If we are alive again, that must mean the Goddess of Life has been bested and defeated?" Riko asked.

I was about to answer that question when Almira came out from the control room and answered it. Still, looking at her real face makes me a bit since I am used to her first look. Seeing her face with the face of the Goddess of Death is just something else.

"The Goddess of Life retreated and has yet to be defeated. We were just delaying the inevitable but at least right now, we are going to have at least a better fighting chance compared to before. But still, this will be a battle that will decide the fate of the world. And as sad as it is, you guys will not be participating in the final battle whether you like it or not. Only Manato will be the one who will shoulder all of the burden of this battle."

I wanted to talk with them but the process of Rite was exhausting so I decided to just go to my room and leave Almira to do all the explanations. It seems I am drained after all of that bell-shaking I did.

After excusing myself, I returned to my room and decided to have some good rest. I felt a bit sleepy but I didn’t want to just pass out and sleep so I just went ahead and sat down on the chair and leaned my back as I closed my eyes. I dare not fall asleep immediately but closing my eyes and relaxing slowly makes me feel a bit good while under this stressful condition.

It seems that everyone won’t be able to join my fight against the Goddess of Life in the future due to how they are still newly revived and they can’t possibly be more vulnerable against the Goddess of Life with their lives harvested.

I can only say the burden is too great and yet I know that running away is not an option in any way, shape, or form at all, since that would just cause the end of the world as we know it, and escaping it is not possible.

However, I am trying my best to keep my wits up while knowing the burden I will bear in the coming days. If I fail this, what would have happened to everything in this world after that? Total Annihilation? Extinction of All Living Humans? Forced Enslavement? The possibilities are endless.

And to think I was thinking of just playing a game from the very beginning. Heck, I even used my knowledge from the past just to become the best player...only to know the real truth of the situation. I should be asking this question to myself. Why am I in this situation? Why am I trying to save the world to begin with? That question should have been on my mind but for some reason, that question never occurred to me.

Is it because I truly wanted this world to be saved? Or because I wanted to be a hero so badly? No, the last bit is not something I feel. In fact, I don’t like to be the hero. That is only something fools do. Being a hero is something that I don’t believe to be the most righteous thing to do. Just because I am standing on the morally just side doesn’t mean I am a good person. After all, is this world even worth saving so much?

No. I am just doing this for myself. I am doing this so that I will live and be free. I will keep on doing this until the very end just so I can be free and will not be controlled by anything.

As I was having all of these random thoughts, the surroundings suddenly shook and it felt like there was an earthquake happening.

"Huh? An Earthquake?"

The surroundings shook slowly at first but as time went on, the tremors got stronger. It is much stronger than most Earthquakes I have experienced before. Feeling worried about this, I went out of the room and everyone was already outside the mansion and it seemed they were watching something in the sky. It is hard walking while the tremors are ongoing but I continue to move as to see what they are looking at.

Arriving outside, I am not yet near everyone but I can already see what they are seeing.

"This...this isn’t supposed to happen just yet..." Almira frowned.

"Almira? What is happening? What is that big celestial body that seems to be crashing into ours?"

"This is something that would happen if both worlds’ Tree of Life responded to one another. According to what I know, if the Tree of Life of this world and the Tree of Life of the other world resonates with one another, they will then proceed to combine together which would result in both worlds with trees to collide together."

This is something I just haven’t expected. The tremors have stopped and the celestial body before us seems to have stopped moving as well. Almira’s theory might hold true but I just realized that wasn’t the main case this time around. I stood up and I realized why this happened immediately and this is partly my fault as well.

"No, this isn’t due to the Tree of Life or anything. Seeing how things have stopped, there is one thing that I didn’t tell you guys when I was still trying to pick all the items I needed on Agartha. When Merlin and the Lady of the Lake met me, they were the ones who were guarding the balance of the world and they are also the main reason why I got the Bell and the Rhongomyniad here with me. However, we are not going to talk about that but about the Rhongomyniad and the world that is currently colliding here. I think I can explain why it is colliding, why it stopped from colliding, and how to stop this from further happening."

"Hmmm, explain then, Manato."

I nodded. "Of course. Before I obtained the Rhongomyniad, the Lady of the Lake explained to me the main purpose of the Holy Lance, how powerful it is, and how this thing is crucial to both worlds. This weapon serves as the anchor, a weapon that stops both worlds from colliding with one another holding both of them in place, and stopping them from getting close to one another. However, the main problem begins now. With the Rhongomyniad now in my possession, what is currently stopping both worlds from colliding with each other?"

Hearing this, everyone was shocked at the realization. Almira then throws a question to me after hearing this.

"Then, then the reason that the world is colliding together is due to this?"

"Partly, yes. The Lady of the Lake allowed me to borrow the Holy Lance as long as I returned the weapon as soon as possible. So when I retrieved the weapon, the Lady of the Lake had to put another replacement to the Rhongomyniad to act as its temporary anchor. But since it was not an easy feat to copy the ability of the weapon, the new anchor is limited in its function, which might be the main reason the two worlds are colliding right now. Perhaps the Lady of the Lake managed to stop it before both worlds collide completely but we have limited time. As for how to solve this, it is easy, we needed to deal with the Goddess of Life as soon as possible before I return this weapon."
