Versatile: Alternate World
Chapter 1017: To the End of the World Where Both Worlds Meet (II)
"You guys know the location of the Rhongomyniad?"
"Yes. We are frequent visitors of Agartha as we are the keepers who keep the weapons in check and whether they are still functioning and doing well. It is also one of the reasons I managed to create replicas of the weapons in my understanding to the original weapons themselves. Although it was a far cry compared to the real weapons in question, my replicas are still strong enough to be considered a real piece of work on the surface. And since a replica of the Rhongomyniad exists, naturally, we know where it was located as well."
"Are you certain that I am allowed to go there and take the weapon?" I asked.
"Naturally, this is not a good thing. After all, this weapon hangs the balance of the worlds, and being an anchor means if anyone tries removing that anchor, the worlds will be in trouble for quite a while. If you plan to take the Rhongomyniad, I must be there to help and stop the world from colliding. I will create an alternative to the Rhongomyniad and keep it intact while you fight against the Goddess of Life. Once you are done, return to the Rhongomyniad, or this world and the world of the other people will collide and trouble will occur. If we want to stop that from happening, we need to do this."
"This is not going to be a good thing..." Merlin is now grieving behind them.
"As if grieving will do anything at all, Merlin. Let’s get going. The faster we are done, the better," the Lady of the Lake shook her head a bit before facing me again.
"Bladeheart, once you see this light piercing through the sky, follow it and you will find us waiting at the end of the world where both worlds meet. I can teleport myself and Merlin straight there but I can’t carry anyone anymore, especially you. Not only that, but you needed to be there before so that I can teleport you just fine but since it seems you have just explored Agartha, that will be a no-go, so you will have to traverse Agartha and reach there all by yourself."
"How long before I will arrive there, by the way?" I asked.
This time, Merlin was the one who answered my question. "If you are going to use that trike of yours, there is a chance that you will reach your destination around 10 to 13 days depending on your speed, or if you decide to ride all day and night without rest. It will be quite a long ride."
"That far?!"
"Yeah. It is pretty far. You needed ample time and preparation to go there. However, knowing the time limit you have until then, you will need to reach there as soon as possible. It doesn’t matter what method you use, as long as you arrive as soon as possible," Merlin answered.
"We will not waste any more time. Bladeheart, follow me once you see my signal, and we will wait for you there."
The two gathered and the Lady of the Lake swiped down her hands and the two disappeared from my sight like they were not there to begin with. It only took a few seconds until I saw the light that the Lady of the Lake mentioned earlier. It was shining high up in the sky. It was like a beacon of light that pierced through the darkness of this place.
It looks big in the distance but seeing how far it was, it seems that it is not so near for me. I place Cath Palug in the little compartment that seems to be for the pets.
"Hey, what are you doing you little...?" Cath Palug tried to protest.
"Just shut it. You will bite your tongue in the process. Keep quiet and we will go full speed ahead."
I revved the engine put my palm on the refueling panel and filled the tank with mana. As soon as I saw the tank fill and get itself full, I turned the engine on and let the trike go full speed.
Cath Palug couldn’t say anything as the speed of the trike was just ruffling his fluffy fur and stopping him from saying anything. As for me, I focus all my attention on the road as I follow the light in the sky.

On the other hand, back on the surface, Almira observed the Altar was slowly forming again back to its former form. It wasn’t fully repaired just yet and there are still broken parts that would stop it from performing its full performance and let anyone use its powers.
"We don’t have much time left..." Almira frowned.
"And we are just here observing everyone on their conditions. Will he even succeed? He might have died down there," Izmir shrugged.
"You shouldn’t say those words, Izmir. You should be thankful that his mother is not listening as he was busy cooking our lunch but you should at least be a bit more tactful about what you are saying," Queen Tanya shrugged as she ate one of the pies that Manato’s mother made.
"I am not joking. You guys said there is a possibility he will fail there right? I am not being negative here, but I also don’t want to hold a false sense of promise and hope like you all. I am just trying to be realistic here."
"He isn’t dead just yet. I have his life crystal here in my hands and he is still fine and well," Almira produces the life crystal she was talking about which shines bright blue as it floats on her palm.
"A life crystal?" Queen Tanya seems to have just learned of this term. Even Izmir looked curious about it as well.
"This crystal measures the vitality and condition of someone who has a possession that has been imbued to use this kind of item as well. Since I have a few stuff done for Manato with some of his armor, I have a very good idea about his health right now. With it being blue, it means Manato is still alive. Red if he is in trouble or low health, or if worse comes to worst, it will be black."
"Worse comes to worst? You mean..." Queen Tanya frowned.
"Yep, if it is black, it means he died." Izmir is blunt.
Almira nodded. "Yes. Izmir is correct. This crystal will allow us to see whether he is having a hard time in Agartha or he is in mortal peril. However, all we can do is just observe it. Since we are not considered as the one qualified to get there, we are not in a good way to intervene or even help Manato in any way or form."
Almira and the others went silent as she put back the item into her pocket once more. As much as they want to learn what is happening now in Manato’s situation, they will have to wait and see what is happening right now.

It’s been two days since I have started cruising the road. Cath Palug remains on the same seat but he is now comfortable with the feeling that the trike generates. He got used to it so fast.
"Are we there yet?" Cath Palug asked as he opened one of his closed eyes.
"Nope. Keep sleeping for now. We haven’t even reached the area halfway."
"Is that so?" Cath Palug observed the surroundings and after confirming nothing much interesting was present, he returned to his slumber.
As for me, I continued to ride my trike as I bit on the lunch sandwich that my mother gave me. I am consuming my rations slowly so that I can still have some food while I am still here in Agartha.
And just like what Merlin said, the location is pretty far and even though I am cruising the area relatively fine, the distance is just too far. It didn’t feel like I was reaching it anytime soon. I have refueled the trike a few times already.
"Just how far is the location of the Rhongomyniad for this to be placed this far?" I mumbled to myself.
"Far enough for those two to call it the end of the world. Knowing them, they might have been exaggerating it by making magical names and mumbo jumbo stuff, but since they added "two worlds meet", doesn’t that mean this world and your world might be connected somehow?"
Cath Palug was just mumbling while we were heading there but what he said might be the case. Why is there such an extension to the name of the place? Is that the end of the world or just considered as the very edge of this world? 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
No one knows for sure. But I didn’t mind it. Even though I aimlessly follow through the empty streets of this city, I continue my way to reach the location. After all, this is my only hope of defeating the Goddess of Life.
