Adrian moved to his Low Grade Top-Tier Knight’s Manual next.

It was completely different.

It boosted all stats equally and the boost was significantly higher than both the Mid Tier manual he got and Claire’s True Knight’s Manual. This tier didn’t give an active skill, but a passive skill instead, which could be boosted even further by using mana in their bodies.

The skill worked in a simple way. It increased all the stats of the knight as long as they circulated their mana infused blood throughout their bodies. They didn’t even have to use this mana for this effect to work as long as it moved around.

This was because it followed the same rule that Adrian had recently abused. As their bodies consumed mana, the mana from the surroundings would be sucked in.

It was a technique that imitated the mana breathing method of the mages but the efficiency wasn’t great. Yet, it was good enough to make the knights stronger. If they actively absorbed this mana, then they could boost their physical capabilities even further.

It was a knight’s technique that could potentially allow a D rank knight to beat a C rank one that used a mid tier technique.

And this, was a big deal.

Adrian grinned and put the manuals back into the dungeon before giving them names.

Sterling Knight’s Manual: Top-Tier

Iron Knight’s Manual: Mid-Tier

Drunken Knight’s Manual: Low-Tier

The Drunken Knight’s manual taught a way of becoming a knight by drinking and since Adrian never planned on letting his loyal followers use it, he didn’t mind using this as a bait for his goals.

He opened up his system screen and changed the gacha wheel’s settings. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

Iron Ingot Chance: 89%

Steel Ingot Chance: 10%

Drunken Knight’s Manual: 1%

He then set a timer for this changes to take place. For now, the gacha wheel would only give out iron and steel ingots.

Once he was done with all the preparations, he walked out and opened the door to Aria’s room to check up on her.

The girl was sleeping peacefully as she hugged the biggest doll that he had bought her. It was a hand crafted bear and she absolutely loved it.

He closed the door quietly and walked out of the house before he sat down on a large stone.

The sky had thousands of stars that he could see and this view had become his favorite ever since he had come to this world.

On earth, due to all the pollution, the number of stars he could see, could easily be counted.

But the sky in this world? It was mind-blowing and magical.

He took a deep breath, inhaling the chilly air of the night as he thought about his next steps.

’Once the whole gang and merchant issues are settled, I can rig the gacha wheel to give one of the people a knight’s manual. The best one would be one of these gang members so they can run and tell the others. This way, word will spread without me having to do much. Or maybe... I can do something else. I have time to think about this.’ he thought as he stared at the starry sky.

’At the same time, I should put out a notice for a new social structure. What I need the most right now, is a strong army. The people might not be knights but I can train them to be. Everyone who joins the army.... I should probably give them a contract to sign so they’ll be loyal to me until they die. If they agree to this and sign, I can give them the mid-tier training manual. If they don’t sign it, then they can still serve as a common soldier.’

He also planned to make a special team that would be tasked to protect him and Aria.

’They can also take over some special missions for me if needed but these people can’t be ordinary... though, where can I find such people and how do I make sure that they’ll work for me?’

There were too many questions that he didn’t have an answer to.

He knew that the count didn’t like him and that only meant one thing. There would be an attack on his territory sooner or later. Based on the rules, he only had a safe period of 6 months and after that, as long as the count had a valid reason, he could attack.

’There’s no way to tell what sort of proof he’ll forge but it’s always better to be prepared.’ Adrian mused as he continued to think.

He sat outside for two whole hours before he walked in and went straight to sleep.

The next few days passed with both him and Aria learning the basics of magic. For him, it was a way to refresh his knowledge while also teaching Aria.

As for Aria, she already knew everything he was talking about, but she still enjoyed it anyways. After all, every time she gave him a correct answer, she’d receive a lot of praise.

As the two of them studied in silence, Aria suddenly raised her head and looked up at him.

"Papa, can we have fried chicken for dinner tonight? You only made it once and you promised me that you’ll make it in the future but I’ve been waiting for two weeks..." she said, pouting slightly as she opened her eyes wide and looked at him.

She knew his weaknesses very well and this was one of the most effective. Yet, she didn’t have any intention of stopping there as she combined it with another super effective attack.

"Aria hates papa..."

The corners of Adrian’s lips twitched as he immediately went into a defensive mode, trying to get her to forgive him and promised her that he’d make her fried chicken tonight no matter what.

Just then, Claire appeared at the door which was open and looked at the two of them.

"Lord Adrian, there’s a protest in the streets... well, there was. A group of retired adventurers ended up breaking bones of almost every protestant. They called them dirty merchants and gangsters as they broke their bones."

Adrian looked at Claire and then Aira before he checked the time.

"Uhh they dealt with the issue themselves so there’s no need for me to interfere. Tell these adventurers to see me tomorrow in the afternoon. I need to have a talk with them." he said and added as he glanced at Aria, "As for now, I’m busy."
