THE GOD EATER
Chapter 500: Cute Kitten.
As Hammock was looking through the tunnel and wondering what his master was up to, Hammock saw a giant gorilla on the other side of the tunnel. He also saw a troop of gorillas surrounding this giant gorilla.
Hammock himself was big for an ant. He was standing at three stories tall, so his height was impressive. But this giant gorilla put him to shame in terms of size.
The giant gorilla was a silverback of this troop of gorillas, so it was the biggest and strongest. It was large enough to fill up the whole space of the giant cavern that Hammock had been using as his base before Loki arrived. The other gorillas were as big as Hammock.
But despite how big this gorilla was, Loki was able to pick up the gorilla by the scruff of its neck. The gorilla roared and tried to get away, but it was as if Loki were a human picking up a petulant kitten.
Just like a petulant kitten couldn’t overpower a human, all of the giant gorilla’s resistance was for naught. And the troop of gorillas trying to fight Loki in a bid to save their alpha was all swept away by one burst of a black force field from Loki.
When the forest and all of its family disappeared, the giant gorilla roared in anger and pounded Loki’s hands with its fists with the power of hammers striking an anvil. But just like hammers striking an anvil, the anvil and Loki’s hands were fine.
Loki even grinned and said, "How cute!"
Then he tossed the giant gorilla into his Cave Heaven.
The giant gorilla was thrown down the tunnel that Loki had opened into his Cave Heaven. The giant gorilla tried to stop its descent by grabbing the edges of the tunnel and using them to hang on.
This time, Loki wasn’t in the mood to joke around. He gently flicked the giant gorilla’s head to make it dizzy. He didn’t use his full strength for fear of killing the gorilla by mistake.
When the giant gorilla became dizzy, Loki pushed it down the tunnel. He practically stuffed the giant gorilla into the Cave Heaven as if he were stuffing a rat into a sack.
Meanwhile, the will of the world was roaring in anger. But Loki ignored the will of the world and went to find the next world guardian.
In the Cave Heaven, the giant gorilla fell to the ground with a thud. Loki could have caught its fall and made it land gently, but he had no intention of treating his food well.
At this point, the giant gorilla had woken up. But it couldn’t move a single muscle. This was because Loki didn’t want it to move a single muscle in his Cave Heaven.
This is his Cave Heaven, and he is the absolute god of this world. Whatever he wants goes, so anyone who enters this place can be suppressed with a single thought.
Only someone much stronger than Loki can break the suppression of his Cave Heaven. Since the gorilla was already too weak to resist Loki when it was outside of the Cave Heaven, there is just no way that it can turn the tables now.
In fact, it is certain that its fate is now sealed. The best it can do is glare at the mass of light.
His avatar ignored the gorilla’s resentful glare and said to Hammock, "Get to work. A world guardian is coming soon, so you’d better be quick."
Even as the avatar spoke, Hammock could already see a giant wolf through the tunnel in the Cave Heaven. He could also see that this giant wolf was being treated like a wayward puppy with the way Loki was manhandling it.
Hammock didn’t want to delay his master’s plan, so he immediately set to work. He opened his giant mandibles and bit down on the gorilla’s neck. Then he worked to cut off the gorilla’s head.
Clearly, what Hammock was doing to the gorilla was dangerous and could very well lead to the giant gorilla’s death. But the giant gorilla didn’t try to resist at all.
The giant gorilla just lay there and let Hammock kill it. It didn’t even roar in pain or shout in anger. This was all because Loki didn’t want to hear a single thing out of the gorilla and had suppressed its throat.
All in all, Hammock was able to easily kill the gorilla. Then he went to work digging through the body of the gorilla for its Power Core.
After Hammock found the Power Core, he swallowed it whole. This was just in time for him to begin working on the giant wolf.
The giant wolf had fallen into the Cave Heaven sometime during the process of beheading the giant gorilla. So it had witnessed the gorilla’s fate and knew what was about to happen to it.
Unfortunately for it, even with knowledge of what was going to happen, it still couldn’t stop its fate. Hammock was still able to walk over to it and kill it easily.
Loki watched all of these happen with interest. As he watched, he said, "It was as easy as pie."
This is something that Hammock had been working towards achieving for a long time. But Hammock had to be careful and had to use trickery.
However, Loki had come and made it all so easy. He had made becoming a divine being feel trivial. As he reveled in this feeling, he decided that he quite liked it.
In fact, he could have killed all the world guardians for Hammock. But he didn’t want to interfere with the process too much and cause Hammock to be disqualified.
So he only made it easy for Hammock to kill the world guardians. He himself watched and waited until Hammock was done. Then he brought Hammock out of his Cave Heaven into the small world.
Hammock’s presence in the small world seemed to trigger the world. The world began to vibrate with anxiety and excitement as it channeled all of its power into Hammock.
