Chapter 152: You Have Two Weeks To Get Things Sorted Out.

Outside at the parking lot, just before Kathleen could close her car door, it was blocked by Shawn’s imposing body.

"Get lost!" Kathleen roared and tried to pull the door close but Shawn was like a brick wall standing in between the door and the car, unmovable.

"You might as well come down and let’s finish this discussion. Why do you always take the escape route whenever you are at fault? Are you so ashamed of your deeds?"

"Who told you I was escaping? I was only trying to save you face but since you are this despicable, don’t blame me for whatever happens to you."

"I’m not the one who needs face saving but you?" Shawn three back.

"Why do I need to save my face? I didn’t do anything wrong,"

"I must agree with you that getting knocked up by someone who isn’t your husband is a noble act," Shawn sneered.

"Do you dare to say that again?" Kathleen challenged, her eyes turning dark with rage.

"What don’t I dare to say? That you opened your legs to another man while you were still married to me?"

"You scumbug!"

How Kathleen got down from the car and landed a slap on Shawn’s face was still a mystery that he would spend the rest of his life trying to solve, because he only felt the sting of a slap across his face barely after completing his sentence.

Before Shawn got a full grasp of what just happened Kathleen was back in her car.

She floored the engine and her rear tire almost crushed Shawn’s leg if not for his fast reflexes. He saw the car door slam shut from the gust of the wind as Kathleen sped off.

"Damn!"

He raised his fist and punched the air since there was nothing close by to vent on.

"You may run but I promise myself to pester you till you go insane. Let’s see the level of your endurance."

His driver pulled up beside him, got out to open the door for him and drove out of the parking lot.

At Hudson corporations, he hurried into his special elevator and didn’t reply to any of the greetings from his staff.

Johnson happened to be coming out from his own office when he saw the grave expression on his boss’s face as he stepped out of the elevator on the presidential floor.

There were only three offices on the whole of that floor, the President’s office, His assistant’s and his secretary’s office.

"Come with me," was the curt response he got when he greeted his boss.

’I wonder what might have transpired between him and his wife again. From the vibe around him, it definitely did not end well.’

He followed him obediently to his office and closed the door behind them.

But the next minute, his eyes widened at the sight of the red patch on Shawn’s cheek which was exposed under the bright light in the office.

He asked softly, his tone tinged with worry.

"Excuse me, Boss, I couldn’t help but notice the mark on your face. Are you alright?"

Shawn’s expression turned darker and the temperature suddenly dropped several degrees as he fixed his stern gaze upon Johnson.

His silence alone sent a chill down Johnson’s spine who shuddered and stopped himself from asking any more questions.

He even dared not think about the possibility that his boss had been slapped lest, his thoughts transformed into a voice.

He lowered his head inorder not to stare at the red mark which was becoming more obvious by the second.

"Hand over whatever you are doing to someone else immediately and trail Kathleen. I want to know all her movements, the people around her and who she interacts with. Don’t leave out any details, no matter how minute, it must be reported to me without fail."

"I’m giving you two weeks to get that sorted out."

"Yes boss," Johnson replied and also reported on his last assignment.

"I’ve contacted our people to ensure that the news about you and madam is refreshed every ten minutes and will be trending till the end of this month."

"That is perfect." Let me see how that good for nothing boyfriend of hers will live with the knowledge that the woman he loves has only him, Shawn Hudson in her heart.

Before now, his target was President Jason, now that it is an unknown nincompoop, he will not hold back. Let’s see whether he would still want Kathleen after he’s done with his plans.

Initially he just didn’t want to investigate her based on the fact that he felt she was doing whatever she was doing just to piss him off and would later come around after playing for some time.

But after learning that she dared to have a baby with another man, he had to take what belonged to him by force.

He glanced up and saw that Johnson was still waiting for further instructions."You can leave and get on with what I just asked you to do."

"Right away Sir," Johnson returned to his office, wondering how miserable the lives of these two were.

It’s best he stays single for the rest of his life if being in a relationship is this troublesome.

After Johnson left, another person whom he wasn’t expecting to see any time soon walked in almost immediately.

He raised his head when he heard the sound of the door being opened again and scowled when he saw it was Steffan.

He needed some alone time to work on his next plan.

"Why are you here?"

"Is that how you welcome your best friend?"

He couldn’t believe he had spent the whole day staring at his phone waiting for Kathleen’s call, but didn’t hear anything.

He was so eager to receive her call that no matter what he was doing, he would discard it the moment he saw a call coming in, only to find out that they were busy rekindling their old love.
