After explaining about his powers—his bloodline, the strange ability that allowed him to devour monsters and take fragments of their strength—Lucian finally stood up from his chair.

Both of them tried to stop him, especially after hearing what he was going to do.

Even if Lucian had told them that the chance of receiving memories was extremely low, that explanation hadn’t comforted them at all.

Because there was still a chance, even if it was small, even if it was rare.

What would happen if it occurred again?

What if the next memory was worse?

What if the next creature’s instincts were stronger?

What if his mind couldn’t handle it?

But Lucian didn’t listen to them.

He told them he was going out, and that was final.

The same tone he used whenever he had already made up his mind, and nobody would be able to change it, not even them.

They could only sigh as they let him go.

Lucian didn’t waste another second.

He rushed to the stairs, his steps faster than normal, almost like he was in a hurry.

Seraphina frowned slightly when she noticed the sudden change.

She stared at his back as he soon disappeared, sprinting up the narrow stairway.

‘Is there a monster outside?’ she pondered to herself quietly.

That was the first thought that crossed her mind.

Maybe Lucian had sensed something.

Maybe another creature had appeared near the house.

But—

That wasn’t the case.

As soon as Lucian stepped out of the basement and into his gym, he turned around and shut the metal door immediately.

The sound of it closing echoed softly through the empty room.

Lucian stood there for half a second.

Then—

‘Finally…’

He simply dropped down as his body crashed onto the floor, leaning against the door.

His back hit the cold metal as he brought his knees slightly closer.

He immediately held both of his hands over his face.

His breathing was uneven, as his chest rose and fell quickly, almost like he was hyperventilating.

“What the fuck is happening?” his breathy voice came out as a whisper, as he felt his entire body heat up all of a sudden.

He could even feel a tingling in his crotch, as heat began rushing to his lower regions.

“Akasha, tell me what is happening to me…!” he asked loudly, as his voice grew low and slightly rough.

A second later, a familiar voice answered inside his head.

[Do you really not know? Or are you just pretending to be innocent.] she asked in his mind, almost amused by his reaction.

Lucian’s hand slid down his face, bringing it down to the ground.

“That is not what I’m asking!”

He pushed himself up off the floor immediately and rushed to the bathroom, even ignoring the corpses still lying in the living room.

As soon as he entered the bathroom, his eyes widened as he looked at his reflection.

His face had turned red, completely flushed, and there was a blush spread across his cheeks.

The heat spreading in his body made much more sense now.

Then his gaze dropped slightly, and his expression froze.

There was a noticeable bulge forming in the front of his pants, almost straining the fabric.

He hadn’t even noticed this!

“Fuck… fuck… FUCK…!”

He muttered frantically as he looked closer at his own reflection, gripping the sink tightly.

“Was my face like this all the time?” he asked nervously.

“Did they see me like this?”

The thought that Lia and Seraphina might have seen him like this made his stomach tighten.

[It doesn’t seem so.] Akasha answered, ignoring his behavior as he looked at his own reflection like it was some horror scene.

But the truth was quite different.

Any normal woman looking at his face right now would have to try her best not to pounce at him.

His short, messy hair, his well-developed physique that had been built after years of training, and the heavy blush on his face, which only made his features sharper, would make any person crazy, especially women.

But he didn’t know about that, nor did he care about that.

All he cared about was the fact that something was very wrong with his body, and whether the women downstairs had seen it or not.

[They didn’t seem to be behaving like they had seen you like this.]

Hearing that, Lucian sighed slightly in relief.

“Thank god…”

If Lia or Seraphina had seen him like this, with his face all red, he had absolutely no idea what their reaction would be, and neither had he any intention of finding that out right now.

Lucian instantly turned the faucet and splashed cold water on his face again and again, as if that would cool him down.

“Anyways, why is this happening? Didn’t I increase my will? Then how can I not control my emotions?”

[You are controlling them.] Akasha answered.

[In fact, it is even a great deal that you haven’t gone crazy over your instincts.]

Lucian stopped for a second, clearly not believing her words.

He looked at his reflection again and asked,

“Then what is this?”

He paused, like he wanted to say something, but the words didn’t come out.

Then—

“And why the fuck am I getting horny over my… my mother and sister?” He finally asked the question hesitantly, almost horrified by it.

As soon as he had gotten the goblin’s memories, he had been feeling this.

Anger.

Like he wanted to destroy something. Break something, anything.

But along with that—

Lust.

Sudden and violent.

And what horrified him the most was the direction it pointed toward.

Over his sister… and even his mother.

Even though he wanted to deny it with all he had, he couldn’t.

Maybe it was because they were the only woman beside him right now, he didn’t know.

[Do you know the fact that goblins have very high reproductive instincts?]

Lucian’s eyes narrowed slightly.

“Okay… and what of it?” he asked, even though he got a faint idea of what she was about to say and what she meant.

[Well, after you gained the goblin’s memories, it seems you even got its instincts slightly.]

Her vague, simple answer—like it was nothing serious—annoyed him, making him click his tongue.

“So, what should I do right now? Is there no way to get rid of this?”

[Well…] she paused slightly, making him slightly expectant.

[Just get over it.]

Lucian’s lips twitched, and his eyes narrowed.

For a moment, he just wanted to smash the mirror before him.

Instead of asking any further, he just stepped out, ignoring whatever he was feeling right now.

After coming outside the basement, away from Lia and Seraphina, it was a bit easier to control himself.

It wasn’t that he had lost control over his emotions entirely, but it was that… the way he viewed both of the women had changed slightly, even if he didn’t want to admit that in his entire life.

Seraphina had noticed that something was off about him, as he had been looking at them for a bit too long, but she hadn’t asked anything.

Even though he couldn’t control his lust, even then, he hadn’t been looking at their breasts or something like that.

He wasn’t that disrespectful. His eyes hadn’t leered over their bodies.

Though it had strayed for a second… just a second.

Lucian walked outside and looked at the corpses again.

Even walking with a tent forming in his pants was difficult, but the lust, the pressure he was feeling was lowering again… thankfully, or walking like this before his mother and sister would’ve been too awkward.

The room was still messed up, and there was a broken window through which the goblins had entered their house.

But aside from that, no other monster had entered during this time.

Just as he was thinking about what to do further, ignoring his stupid hormones—

[How did you even know about that?] Akasha suddenly asked.

“What?” Lucian asked, confused.

[How did you know that you were horny?] she asked again, this time directly.

Lucian’s lips twitched instantly.

But he still didn’t understand her question.

Akasha, feeling his confusion, asked more properly.

[I mean to ask you that…]

[I mean, weren’t you paralysed for years? Then how did you even know that the feeling that you were feeling right now was lust?] she asked curiously.

Lucian was a teenager when he had been paralysed, and had just entered his puberty before his body had stopped working.

“Do you really have to ask a stupid question right now?” He asked, feeling awkward for some reason.

Every man would if someone asked them such a question, especially if a woman asked it—even though he wasn’t sure if she was even a living being.

Akasha replied immediately.

[I’m just curious.]

“Fuck off. Just show me my status,” he said, irritated slightly.

But the screen didn’t appear.

Lucian blinked.

“…Akasha? Status.”

[First, answer me.] Akasha said again, and her voice obviously had a teasing tone in it.

It seemed like she was enjoying the situation.

And Lucian’s fucking body was even reacting to her voice!

Her voice was too beautiful for him!

‘Fuck me!’ he cursed internally.

He truly wanted to dig a grave for himself right now and bury himself within it!

Lucian didn’t really want to say anything, but right now, he wanted to see his status window.

After a few seconds—

“Ah! Fine!” He put a hand over his face, as his face burned again, this time with embarrassment.

“I had watched porn once!” he blurted out, and even saying those words made him embarrassed.

“Just once. And only because a friend suggested it.” he immediately added that part, almost like it wasn’t his fault.

“Now show me my status.”

[Only once?] she asked again.

Lucian went silent.

He didn’t want to tell her that he had seen it a few times, but stopped after getting caught watching it by his stepmother—Lia’s mother.

And the teasing that followed had lasted an entire day.

An Entire.Humiliating.Day.

After that, he had completely stopped watching it.

But there was absolutely no way he was telling Akasha that story.

Not in a million years.

And he wasn’t interested in entertaining her anymore.

“STATUS”

He said the word loudly.

His patience had reached its limit.

A moment later—

[Fine fine.]

Even though she said that, she was chuckling to herself.

Still, the translucent screen appeared before him.

Lucian ignored her completely and looked at the screen.

He wanted to curse himself for telling her his dark past, something that wasn’t as dark as he claimed it was.

After reading through his status window, he exhaled out loud.

“I wasted all the Points I had,” he muttered to himself, suddenly feeling depressed.

Because of the headache earlier, he hadn’t even thought properly when he allocated those points.

He had simply dumped everything into Will.

But now?

Now that his head was clearer, he was greatly regretting his previous decision.
