Strongest Necromancer System
Chapter 809: A Change In Perspective
In another room within the Stone Catacombs, Riyala blinked in surprise and turned toward the Hall of Heroes with wide eyes! Riyala had just felt Jason’s mana flowing toward her, and she realised that Jason had been chosen as the new Overlord! A wide smile spread on her face, and Riyala felt a restlessness in her body as she waited desperately for the meeting to end!
All across the Sixth Domain, various leaders of high-ranking worlds all seemed to come to the same realisation as they felt Jason’s mana flowing towards them, and they all understood that this was the mana signature of their new Overlord! In a few months, Earth would be receiving guests from all over the Primordial Expanse, and both Gaia and the Superhumans Management Department were going to be packed with work as they tried to handle all the high-status visitors coming from other worlds! But that was something Jason would have to worry about in the future! And right now, Jason simply basked in the newfound authority he had gained!
For the longest time, Jason had always said that he didn’t want to take up any position of power because he didn’t like to involve himself in politics. Jason was content with being strong enough to protect his family and friends! But after everything that had happened with Rubik, Jason realised that being physically strong just wasn’t going to be enough anymore! Jason had been put at the mercy of Rubik because Jason lacked the authority he needed to defend himself! It didn’t matter how physically strong you were; without authority, you were one accusation away from becoming a criminal!
Jason knew that if he continued being apathetic towards politics, then he might have to face another big problem with whoever the council would choose as the next Overlord of his domain! So rather than having to go through all of that, Jason decided that the best thing to do was to take up the seat himself. It was going to be a lot of work, and Jason knew he would probably regret giving himself so much responsibility sometime in the future, and he might even think of tearing his hair out in annoyance. But Jason also knew that as of right now, he had finally gained enough physical and political power to ensure that his world would never have any issues in this Domain anymore, and as far as Jason was concerned, that was worth all the trouble that would come with the seat!
"Overlord Jason. Won’t you join us on the high seats?" 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
Hesabeth finally spoke up while looking towards Rak’hael with a smug smile on her face, and Jason chuckled slightly when he saw Rak’hael glare at Hesabeth angrily! Gina squeezed Jason’s hand proudly, and Jason leaned down to give her a small kiss before he walked forward and passed through a portal that opened in front of him. Another portal opened on the high seat opposite Hesabeth, and Jason walked out from it and let out a calm sigh as he took in the sight of the Hall from a new perspective. The other members of the council were all watching Jason calmly, and they allowed Jason to take in the newfound power he had gained. Every single member of the council had also experienced the same feeling of awe when they first took their seat, so they could understand how Jason was feeling!
But unlike what the council was thinking, Jason wasn’t feeling any sense of awe or wonder! Instead, Jason was feeling amused! Jason looked down on the center circle where council trials usually took place and smiled! Was it not just a few months ago that Jason was standing down there as a criminal? And now Jason was taking the seat of the man who had accused him in the first place! Talk about irony! Jason moved calmly and sat at the high seat of the Sixth Domain before he glanced at the people sitting beside him. On his left was T’arigan, the dwarven leader of Foragen. T’arigan let out a gruff sound, and he gave Jason a nod when he met Jason’s eyes. Jason nodded back before he looked to his right and saw Baron Skarr, the dragon lord of Vulcan, sitting there. The Baron gave Jason a respectful nod as well, and Jason nodded back respectfully. Jason then looked over at the person who was glaring daggers at him from the opposite end of the room, and Jason smiled slightly when he met Rak’hael’s narrowed gaze. With how much she was glaring, Jason wouldn’t be surprised if Rak’hael suddenly started shooting lasers from her eyes!
’She must really hate me.’
Jason laughed lightly as he decided to ignore Rak’hael for now, and he leaned back into his seat before resting an elbow on the armrest and leaning his cheek on his closed fist. Yes, Jason could definitely get used to this.

Jason hummed as he saw all these notifications appear in front of him, and he closed them down with a wave of his hand. Jason was obviously happy that he had gained more information now, especially since information was the only thing that could allow you to come out on top in this messed-up world, but Jason had also been hoping for a new Legion Skill that he could use.
’Having more charisma isn’t so bad, though, so I’ll avoid being too greedy. At least it’ll be easier to make people do what I want them to.’
Jason nodded internally as this thought crossed his mind, and he turned to his right as Baron Skarr suddenly spoke up.
"I assume we will be holding the ceremony of inauguration at some other time? We still need to introduce him to the Heads of the Elder Worlds before he can be formally recognized as a member of the council."
The rest of the council nodded along in agreement as they accepted this, but Jason just raised a brow as he wondered what the Elder Worlds were.
[The Elder Worlds are a collection of extremely powerful worlds that exist within the Primordial Expanse. During the Period of Lawlessness, these worlds stood at the apex of power and controlled many territories within the Primordial Expanse.]
