STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer
Chapter 813: Tier-3, 2nd Rank - Peak Stage
Governor’s Office
Governor Martin decided to locate Ronald Hill’s device.
Robert Hill sighed in relief; he had wanted this reaction. Then, he took his leave. He knew they would call him when they found something.
A quick gleam appeared in Martin’s eyes as he watched Robert Hill’s retreating back. He knew that Robert Hill was a cunning person.
Orion and Leon noticed the reaction. "Do you suspect him?" Orion asked. He found that Martin looked doubtful.
Leon turned toward Martin. Martin said, "It’s not good to trust him. We should investigate this matter on our own." Hearing that, the others nodded their heads.
Time passed.
That evening, Martin received the reports from the 1st Zone. He read the reports regarding the location of Roland Hill’s device.
"Wilderness," Roland muttered.
His eyes gleamed with a twinkle. He walked out of the office and looked at the city wall, then up at the sky. He saw that the light was dim.
Swoosh!
The next second, he left the office. He flew toward the city wall without even informing the other two Governors.
His instincts were never wrong, but he had failed to find any evidence to back them up regarding the man-made disaster. He was upset about it.
Right then, Head Robert had come with the request, and Martin decided to focus on this matter to divert his attention.
In the blink of an eye, he reached the city wall and flew over it. None of the guards saw him. He entered the wilderness and moved toward the location mentioned in the reports.
A few minutes later, he reached the border. He was confused; this border was located directly opposite the Beast Tide border.
He looked down at the ground and saw nothing but the forest. Then, he spotted broken bones and skeletons scattered across the area.
"What was this person doing here?" he asked himself.
Though the place was a border, it was just as dangerous as the other borders. Corrupted beasts roamed freely here. Martin thought of Robert Hill again.
"He looked suspicious. He must have sent Roland Hill here," Martin thought. He collected his thoughts and tried to find the device.
Time passed.
He thoroughly checked the surroundings but did not find the device, nor did he see a corpse.
Martin frowned. He considered that Robert Hill was hiding something and decided he would get answers from him.
It was not easy to kill Roland Hill, who was a Tier-7 Beast Tamer. In the wilderness, he had a good chance of escaping.
Yet, he was killed here. The signal had been cut off at this spot days ago. He was no longer in the city.
It showed that he was either dead or had entered the unexplored region-which was the same as being dead.
Even as a Tier-8 Beast Tamer, Martin was not comfortable entering the unexplored region.
So, he believed Ronald Hill was dead for sure, but he didn’t know how he had died.
Roland could have still escaped even if he were surrounded by beasts. Martin couldn’t come up with answers and decided to discuss it with the other two Governors.
Swoosh!
Martin left the place and returned to the city. It didn’t take long for him to arrive in front of the office.
It was already nighttime, and the other two Governors had gone back to their rooms. He decided to discuss it the next morning.
...
Red Moon Chamber
The following day, Jeremy Night woke up as per his schedule. He got out of bed and began his morning routine.
He finished the routine in one hour. Then, he entered the practice room and turned on the switch.
Natural energy began to fill the room. Jeremy felt the dense energy around him; he closed his eyes and started running his inner breathing method.
The energy entered his body and started flowing inside. The cells in his body greedily absorbed it. It didn’t take long for the barrier to appear.
His heart rose with excitement; he had been waiting for this moment. He didn’t stop and continued the circulation to break the barrier.
On the other hand, the unknown beast egg was also absorbing the natural energy in the room.
Usually, the unknown egg broke its limit before the Physique did. This time, the Physique had reached the limit first.
Time passed.
Tier-3, 2nd Rank — Peak Stage!
At one point, the breakthrough occurred. The unknown beast egg shattered the limit. It continued to absorb the natural energy in the room.
Jeremy Night sighed in relief. The unknown beast egg had succeeded. Now, it was time for his own breakthrough.
It didn’t take long for the unknown beast egg to provide feedback energy. This energy began to enter his body.
The greedy cells became active once again, absorbing the feedback energy even faster.
Tier-3, 2nd Rank — Peak Stage (Breakthrough)
The Physique broke the limit, and new profound strength coursed through his body.
Jeremy felt his bones, flesh, and internal organs strengthening at a rapid rate. He could feel the changes not only in his body but inside his mental zone as well.
The concentric circles changed. The third sub-block was activated. Next was the third main block, representing the 3rd Rank.
The starlight power was also experiencing changes; a single starlight thread from earlier had now become multiple threads.
Each of the threads were strong and powerful.
Time passed.
He ended the practice two hours later and walked out. Jeremy stabilized his new profound strength.
He was happy that the breakthrough came at the right time. He had been feeling pressured by the news of the Hill Beast Taming Family.
This breakthrough gave him a little more confidence to handle the situation.
He stood up and turned off the switch. The natural energy drained away. In the blink of an eye, the room was empty of energy.
He walked out of the room and went to the bathroom to take a shower.
After spending 20 minutes in the bath, he walked out, changed into comfortable clothes, and sat down on the sofa.
