Chapter 24: I Can... Extract Items Into The Real World

Amon opened his eyes in the real world.

His limbs were stiff and as he raised his hand towards his face to take off the vr headset to take it off.

"Damn... " Amon muttered as his soft room light entered into his field of vision.

He squinted slightly, his eyes gradualy getting used to the light.

Stretching lightly, he stood up.

"Its almost like the nexus is a real world..." he muttered in amazement, the memories of the game appearing briefly in his mind.

How he’d controlled his limbs, how he’d moved while fighting, everything seemed perfectly real.

Feeling famished he dashed to the kitchen to prepare something to eat.

For the past ten hours he’d spent in the game he hadn’t eaten anything and his body was already begining to protest.

Just as he was about to go to the kitchen, however, the system chimed in his mind.

[Ding! Do you wish to extract Skills, talents, levels and much more from Nexus?]

Glancing at the system screen, Amon furrowed his brows.

’System, is this any different from the normal extraction brought about by the extraction stones?’

He knew of the existence of extraction stones given by academies to students so they could extract their levels into the real world.

However these extraction stones could only extract levels, and one would have to kill monsters from dungeons just to be able to obtain skills.

In essence, one would have a different skill set from their character in Nexus.

Although inconvenient, one had no choice but to go along with this as that was how the game worked.

’If I can really extract my not just my levels but everything...’ Amon’s breathing grew heated the thought.

As thoguh answering his prayers the system’s chime echoed in his mind.

[Please use lives to extract everything from the world of nexus into the real world.]

Everything.

The system didnt say just levels or skills but everything...

’Including physical objects?’ amon knew that extracting physical objects required another special stone that only unique monsters dropped.

Initially, after obtaining the cure for his sister in the game world, he was planning to exchange all the money he’d made in the game for real world currency along with selling all his equipments just to purchase it however now...

’System, extract the serrated mantis blade.’

With trembling hands, amon quickly nodded, ’yes.’

Swoosh!

A flash of white light and the smooth, sleek blade with jagged edges appeared in Amon’s grasp.

His hand subconciously shook the moment it appeared in his grasp.

It was unbearably sharp and radiated an insane ammount of pressure...

Amon guessed that this was likely because he was an ordinary person.

But that was all about to change...

’This is... game changing.’

If I can exchange lives for extracting everything inthe game then the value of lives just skyrotted to another level entirely.’

Amon thought internally.

With lives he could extract literally everything from Nexus.

And after selling them in the real world...

’Money would no longer be a problem.’ Amon’s eyes lit up instantly at the thought.

Amon had some suspicions in his heart which he placed aside.

For now....

He quickly hid the blade under his bed.

If he was spotted with it, it would be hard to explain how he’d gotten it.

It was better to be cautious early on.

’At least until I’ve extracted a sufficient ammount of strength into the real world.’

Thinking of this, amon quickly gave the system an order.

’System, extract my levels into the real world.’

[Ding! Please note that each level up to level 5 cost 50 lives. Do you still wish to continue with extraction?]

Amon thought for a bit and nodded internally, giving the order.

It was better to be safe than sorry.

Swoosh!

The blue panel vanished from his line of sight and a warm stream of energy flowed into every fibre of amon’s being.

Amon moaned slightly in ecstacy at how good it felt.

Simulteanously, he could feel his limbs being strengthened.

His already good physique strengthened from weeks spent at the gym was enhanced even further, making his muscles tighten considerably and outlining his handsome appearance even more.

Amon radiated a sharp presence that made his seem far stronger than ordinary humans.

Amon felt his strength had become far greater than the man from before whom he had killed.

Tiers corresponded to levels and since amon had extracted all the way to level 4, he could now be considered a tier 4 player, a high ranking figure in the present world.

One might think this was quite low, however, the drop rate for the extraction stone was exceedingly low, due to this, although a player might be at level 30 in the game world, the number of levels he could extract into the real world wouldnt be much.

However, none of this applied to amon.

Understanding just how overpowered the extraction system was, amon had a growing suspicion in his heart.

Why would something as terrifying as the nexus fruit be in the hands of someone he could easily kill?

Amon felt there was something fishy going on, but he couldnt complain.

Now his goal was to try to report to the academy to obtain an extraction stone, then return back to the game world.

His goal this time was obtaining a healing potion for his sister, completing the mission from the mysterious old man and obtaining at least a thousand lives...

’Take things one step at a time...’ amon thought to himself and quickly rushed to the kitchen to prepare a meal.

Bang!

The ground underneath his foot exploded inwards and his foot sank in frightening amon slightly.

’This...’ Amon was slightly suspicious.

Had his strength really increased that much?

A wry smile appeared on amon’s face.

’It seems this will take a little bit of practice...’ amon thought to himself and began trying to get used to his newfound strength.

Besides, he didnt feel as hungry as before after getting to tier four.

While amon was training, and getting used to regulating his strength a knock echoed on his door.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Furrowing his brows slightly he hesitated before walking towards the door.

Beneath his feet, slight cracks spread underneath the ground as he walked.

Finally, amon opened the door with the gentlest motion he could muster.

"Who’s the—"

His voice was cut off abrubtly as a figure lunged herself at him, a slight fragrance drifting to his nose as the he felt a delicate but painful sensation on his neck.
