With such thoughts in mind, the car finally came to a halt and her smile widened upon seeing the little girl in blue.

She looked too cute from where she was seated, and honestly Diamond couldn’t wait to pinch those chubby cheeks and shower the little girl with kisses.

How could she not love?

The door was opened for her and she gracefully alighted, a smile plastered on her face.

The moment Diamond stepped out of the car, there was silence outside. The butler, and other servants who had come to welcome this special guest were in a trance as they looked at Diamond.

The woman coming out of the car didn’t look human at all. She looked like that princess character their young mistress likes, princess Isfrid.

Her silver hair was carelessly tied in a high ponytail with several strands of hair carelessly on her forehead.

She was wearing a maxi-top, and a pair of denim shorts beneath. She was wearing a pair of sandals that exposes her beautiful feet as well as toes. Around her ankle was a diamond anklet that seems to match the other accessories on her body.

She wasn’t dressed over the top but more of casual. It was as if she was visiting a close friend. One could discern the carefree aura she was carrying right now.

What was more important was the way her eyes looked clear without an ounce of greed, envy or other disgusting expressions they were used to seeing whenever female guests drop by. This guest was truly special. No wonder why their picky little mistress was anxious and looking forward to meeting her.

Meanwhile, Penny’s thoughts were completely different. In fact, at this very moment, she was truly gratefully that Russ was out with work. Although she trusted her husband, Diamond was simply too beautiful, confident and above all, her body was great.

Penny couldn’t dress the way Diamond was. A great portion of her thighs were exposed, thus exposing the radiant tattoo on her right thigh. That tattoo just made one curious about where it goes or how it ends. She wouldn’t like her husband seeing that at all.

While she was having such thoughts, Gracelynn was completely different. Upon seeing Diamond, her big and cute eyes widened with surprise before happiness filled them.

With a single shake, she got rid of her mother and trotted towards Diamond as she cheerfully called, "Diamond! Diamond!"

And the unexpected shake from Gracelynn startled Penny so much. Before she could call back her daughter, Diamond was smiling so brightly as her arms were opened as she called out to Gracelynn making the worried and anxious mother to shut her mouth.

The scene was very familiar.

Another stab to the heart and she couldn’t do anything about it.

"My little darling! How have you been?" Diamond cheerfully asked as she scooped the little girl in her arms.

Gracelynn smoothed hooked her small arms around Diamond’s neck and that familiar soothing scent wafted in her nose, and she felt much comfortable.

She leaned in Diamond’s embrace and softly responded, "I missed you so much!"

"And so did I!" Diamond genuinely answered as she flicked the little girl’s nose gently and dotingly.

Gracelynn flashed a happy grin as she stole a peek at Diamond and happily giggled like a little thief who had successfully snatched a candy.

The servants watching the interaction between the two didn’t know what to think or say about this. Something about the whole thing felt odd.

It was only after a while that some of them recognized what was wrong.

And it was when Diamond, Penny and Gracelynn were in the living room talking.

Diamond was holding Gracelynn, who looked very obedient without causing any fuss in Diamond’s arms while Penny was seated across them as she chatted with Diamond.

At that moment, Diamond and Gracelynn looked more like mother and daughter compared to Penny.

No wonder why they felt it was odd.

This was simply too ... no words matching this atmosphere could be found.

Meanwhile, Diamond was not a mind reader and didn’t know what others were thinking. She was simply happy.

No one would understand that it’s been a while since she actually been this close to a child. Once upon time, they used to be nuisance to her and she didn’t like associating herself with them. When her mind started opening up, she didn’t have that much to interact with children. The last time she was this close to children was the time she visited the orphanage but that was a very long time ago.

And yet with Gracelynn, she didn’t feel awkward at all. It felt natural. As she held the little girl while chatting with the mother, Diamond thought to herself that perhaps, she wouldn’t be a bad mother. Maybe, she will be a good one. She just needed to practice more. Who knows when the skills will come in handy?

With that in mind, she held Gracelynn like she was holding her own child, and perhaps, Gracelynn sensed that. She became even more obedient in Diamond’s arms and didn’t want to leave at all.

Unknown to the two, Penny was dying of jealous as she watched that. But what could she do except smile and tolerate? 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

After a small chat, the butler came to inform everyone that breakfast was ready and the three went to the dining room.

Gracelynn wanted to sit next to Diamond but with her mother’s single glare, she obediently sat in her chair. Penny finally felt much better when she saw that.

Diamond didn’t notice that as her focus was on the food at the table. Her nose was very sensitive and she could tell that the ingredients used were not only organic but very fresh as well. The milk was tantalizing and she couldn’t help but be drawn to it.

Perhaps, she should take back a bottle or so. With milk that smells this good, then it should be premium quality.

She loves premium and delicious foods.
