Chapter 179: A Mysterious Silver Moon Aura

The Blackhawk helicopter lands in an open parking lot diagonally across from the Sanpaku entrance.

Daisuki walks in front of Zoram and Scylia. The two beautiful women are linked at the arms, with worried expressions.

Nephilim gets out from the cabin with a smile. He squints and looks around at what he can see with the light of the moon as his only light source. Admiring the spot he’s been desperately searching for, before the Sisters had even hired him and was exposed by Laban.

Arai and Maniae pop out next. They run to an old clothing store with the display window shattered.

They find their own corner inside the store with dusty clothes all over the floor.

The young blonde trouble maker and his usually cool, calm, collective friend get the front of their pants down and a pee stream lands on an expensive designer sweater. "$499" is on the visible price tag before it gets soaked too.

Arai: "Ahhhhh...holy shit dude, that was close."

Maniae: "Haha! Bro, I was laughing so hard I actually thought I had already pissed myself for a second. Then that made me laugh even harder, hahah!"

Nephilim struts across the street to Daisuki. Silpheed looks both ways for the traffic that doesn’t exist, and then continues following her leader. The General for Humanity’s Final Flame looks around.

Nephilim: "So this is where you’ve been hiding, huh Dice? It’s so far from the Sister Mountains, that only you with your portal eye could trek here and back with ease within the excursion time limit. Even if I hadn’t taken the GPS pings off of you all your watches, the ocean and the cement tunnel would’ve blocked the signal.

Rodents really do find the most fascinating yet practical places to call home.

Impressive."

Scylia’s body tightens in anger and Zoram can feel the tenseness of her soon to be wife.

Daisuki: "I know you didn’t come here to give me my flowers for my accomplishments Neph, so what’s up? We were having a nice, quiet night before getting notified of your helicopter’s arrival."

Nephilim ignores Daisuki’s question and he looks at Zoram. She quickly looks down to avoid an EyeEngagement.

Nephilim: "Fancy meeting you here, Madame Zoram. I’d like to say I’m glad you escaped from Laban’s tyranny, but it seems you’ve found yourself in another unfortunate situation.

With another unfit leader."

Out of his nap, Tristan finally scrambles out of the helicopter, with his Polaroid camera, and is looking around. From his point of view, he only sees the three individuals sitting at the fire, which none can be mistaken as Katsu or Shelly.

TayTay has his back turned to Tristan. The giant man still has his head tilted upwards, in a trance, fixated on the moon with the new mysterious aura.

Tristan jogs to catch up with Nephilim and Silpheed. He takes a picture of the outside Sanpaku entrance. Then looks at the group across from him.

Tristan: "Where’s Katsu?! Is he here?!"

Scylia answers the curious friend with a head shake.

Scylia: "No, I’m sorry, he isn’t right now. He should be returning from Roronora with the rest of the group, hopefully shortly."

Tristan takes a deep breath and he exhales. He looks at the dark developing picture in the moon lit night.

Tristan: "I’m never going to get a damn explanation from him."

He pockets the picture, then looks around and walks in the direction his two new adolescent partners went.

Scylia’s hostess like attitude flips once her gaze moves back towards Nephilim.

Scylia: "YOU!

I’ve been waiting to have a few choice words with you!"

Nephilim’s eyebrows raise and Silpheed attempts to step in front of him but Nephilim holds his arm out while the woman stomps to him.

Nephilim: "Humor her for a sec, Silph."

Scylia: "I don’t know who the Hell, you think you are, but Master Daisuki is a kind soul and doesn’t deserve any of the criticism you’ve been giving him."

Daisuki: "Scyl..."

She continues.

Scylia: "From what I’ve heard, you are the one who has been hateful and irrational, while he’s been trying to make up for his past mistakes. So why are you being such a bastard to him, huh?"

Nephilim looks down at the woman and they EyeEngage quickly before disengaging shortly after.

Nephilim: "Why, you ask? ’Why’, as in, the last thought that went through the minds of the innocent victims, because of the orders from your ’kind soul’ over there?"

Scylia, knowing the real story, is about to tell Nephilim.

Scylia: "It wasn’t his-"

Daisuki: "Scylia!"

Now she stops and looks at the ground while Nephilim begins to talk down to her.

Nephilim: "Since this is our first meeting, Madame ’Scylia’, was it? I’ll have you know, I serve as the protector for the innocent in this world and the voice of true justice for those who have been killed in vain or in unjustified, chaotic events.

Those who have been wronged, seek me for help, and I gladly oblige. I am the one who decides who is right and who is wrong in this world, based on the evidence I know.

The evidence I know, is Dice has been imprisoned for killing the innocent and was given an apocalypse pardon to his sentence.

Establishing a separate sanctuary so he can be the one in charge of the vulnerable, isn’t atonement, it’s a desperation attempt for power."

Scylia clenches her fists, stomps her foot and she shakes in anger.

Daisuki: "It’s no use Scylia. There’s nothing I can do right now, that could balance Nephilim’s personal scales of justice.

It won’t be until I do something that benefits him personally, then he’ll be forced to put my past aside."

Nephilim(snickers): "If that’s your devised plan, don’t count on it, Dice. As long as the innocent are involved in the violent acts caused by evil people like yourself, it will keep leading those victims to me for help.

My sense of justice won’t ever let those who mistreated the innocent live happily."

Daisuki’s eyebrow raises.

Daisuki(to himself): "Where have I heard something like that before?"

Behind Nephilim, Silpheed can be seen blushing from the words of the man who has stuck by his creed for as long as the masked assistant can remember. The movement and shape of their left eye gives away Silpheed’s smile beneath their red and black face cover.

Daisuki: "I just hope you’ll be a man about all this when the time comes Neph, and we can apologize to each other when you realize you were wrong.

My group here has been living on edge because of those bounties you still have on our heads. If you want to use my premature release to justify hunting me down, I won’t have any grievances, but these kids don’t deserve to be targeted too."

Nephilim: "And the innocent never deserve to die Dice, the balance of universal justice is a ’complementary force’. If any of your underlings want to switch to the right side, their bounty will surely be cancelled. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

Until then, they all represent you and your leadership. As far as I’m concerned, neither of those two boys can be trusted with extra special eye powers, that could cause more harm than good."

Scylia gets back to Daisuki and Zoram and shoots a hateful glare at Daisuki’s "rival".

Scylia: "So why are you even here?! And when are you leaving?!"

Nephilim: "Don’t worry, I am leaving after I use my given privilege to inform you all, that you have been invited by MamMon DæMon and the rest of the Erinyes controlled territory, to a challenge of strength in teamwork and combat.

I’m sure by now you have assembled 11 vagabonds willing to commit acts of assault for a reward. Well, make sure you summon them for 3 days from now, 12 PM."

Scylia & Zoram: "3 Days?!"

Nephilim: "Is there a problem?"

Scylia: "Yes! We’re having a wedding ceremony in 3 days. Sorry, but we’re going to be busy that day."

Daisuki and Nephilim then EyeEngage. Both men not seeming to acknowledge the matrimonial engaged woman’s rejection of the invitation.

Nephilim: "MamMon will meet your team at the northern side of her newly grown forest.

A forest, I might add, that was grown over the Son Goku City wasteland your disciple left behind in his destruction, more than a month ago."

Daisuki’s eyes narrow at the assumption.

Daisuki: "I had a clone with Saku and I was with Katsu. Neither of those boys had acquired an eye ability until the day after Son Goku City was destroyed. Neither caused that destruction you’re trying to pin on them."

Nephilim clearly isn’t buying it, and crosses his arms, keeping their EyeEngagement.

Nephilim(sarcastically): "Quite the coincidence. Just like everything else."

Daisuki(deep sighs): "So you said this Sunday, 12PM North side of the once Son Goku City.

Got it."

Zoram doesn’t say anything but visibly upset, although Scylia doesn’t stay silent.

Scylia: "Master Daisuki?!"

Daisuki: "If that’s all you have to tell me for now Nephilim, I guess it’s time for you to hit the ol’ dusty trail, aye?"

Tristan(in the distance): "YOU LITTLE MOTHER F-!!!"

Arai and Maniae: "Ahhahahahhah!"

Tristan is heard yelling and the laughs of Arai and Maniae follow afterwards. The two goofballs split up so Tristan can only chase one.

While clutching his Polaroid camera to his chest, he continues chasing Arai.

The red eyed teenager that trusts Nephilim, can be seen running away from an unnaturally irritated and slightly wet Tristan.

Without looking ahead, he runs into the unmovable Nephilim and Maniae falls on his ass.

The two men disengage their eyes and Daisuki watches as Nephilim holds out a hand to help the child up.

Daisuki: "It seems like you have decided to mentor the younger generation after all, huh Neph?"

As the boy gets to his feet, Nephilim pats Maniae’s head.

Daisuki and Nephilim EyeEngage again.

Daisuki: "What if someone put a bounty on the kids you have taken under your wing? How would you feel?"

Nephilim lets out a laugh and Maniae looks up worried.

Nephilim: "Hahahah! Really Dice? You’re trying to pull the empathy card now? Let me answer that question then. If someone put a bounty on any of them, I would be angry and overprotective.

I would fight for them and their happiness.

I would put an even higher price on the head of the bounty placer."

Maniae and Silpheed can both be seen blushing from the sincerity of their leader.

Nephilim: "Silph, get the helicopter ready. We won’t be hanging out much longer, MamMon asked us to be back by quarter past 8 the latest.

Silpheed nods with an excited puff, turns and runs comedically in a flash to the cockpit and helps spin the helicopter blade once, to make it go faster, before hopping back in to start the engine.

Nephilim: "Maniae, tell Arai and Tristan to get back on the copter."

Maniae(nods): "Y-yessir."

From behind running to the helicopter, Tristan and giggling Arai can be heard.

Tristan: "What the hell, Arai?! You two are such little douchebags! That sweater had piss on it, didn’t it?!"

Arai: "We thought you needed to wash your ass crack, ’Titty’! Hahah!"

Nephilim turns around and heads to his aircraft as it’s propellers begin to spin...thanks to Silpheed’s extra efforts.

Nephilim: "Make sure you all get your beauty rest and get some sort of game plan ready, because I assure you, you’ll need it. Until then, Dice."

Before he can get to the chopper, the sound of Taylor’s wailing scares everyone in the vicinity.

Taylor: "AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCK! TROUBLEEEEE!"

Daisuki, Scylia, and Zoram look over to the young group while Nephilim continues to his aircraft.

Nephilim: "Might want to get a hold of your men, Dice. Before more innocent people die from the hands of you and your representatives."

Once again, Daisuki and Nephilim go their separate ways.

At the bonfire, Taylor is focusing on the moon with his special aura. For the first time, Sol and Aiden see the giant of a man in a state of worry.

Sol: "H-Hey, what’s wrong, Big Guy?!"

Aiden: "Did he say something about Saku?"

On ’Saku’, a whimpering and hurt Friend *POPS* in front of Aiden, scaring the skittish genius.

Aiden: "Friend!?"

He bends over the hurt, crying dog, and examines the poor pup.

Daisuki and his wives run over to the noise and all three of the older eye users, who know the usual color palette of IceEye auras. They stand in awe at Taylor’s new aura, then at Friend’s appearance.

Daisuki: "What the...? Sol, how long has he had his IceEye in 2nd Stage with that color aura? Where did Friend come from?!"

Aiden looks up at his past Squad 32 partner. He can see the eye design in TayTay’s right eye has changed, but the genius unaccepted by Seiõr, can’t see the aura that Daisuki is referring to.

Aiden: "I think Saku used a new ability of his to transport his hurt dog here. Something bad might be happening to them in Roronora City!"

But before Sol can respond, Scylia interrupts.

Scylia: "Master Daisuki...

Take a look at the moon...

Quickly...

It’s Saku..."

Daisuki turns to see Scylia, she is also looking at the moon like Taylor. Her IceEye is in 2nd Stage and the beautiful blood red haired woman has a matching moon silver aura as the GigaBeast Taylor.

Daisuki and Zoram look at their shared spouse, then at each other.

Daisuki: "Just in case it’s not completely friendly, don’t look at it. If something unusual is happening to eye users who look at the moon, we’ll need one of us to be unaffected."

Zoram nods.

Daisuki takes a deep breath. The first known human host to an IceEye alien symbiote, looks up and EyeEngages with the moon as it pops off to 2nd Stage.

Just like the other two eye users, the moon silver aura leaks from his right eye.

Daisuki’s eyes widen in surprise but then a smile creeps out.

Daisuki: "Well you might not be able to copy Katsu’s power completely Saku, but I’d say this way of communication comes in handy as well, huh?"
