Chapter 335: Psycho

Wen Qinxi didn’t think Qie Ranzhe was a drama king until now. Who in this family couldn’t tell that Qie Xieling looked like he was going through a breakup after Luo Muchen left? Everyone could see it but they just didn’t want to mention it to him. Qie Ranzhe was too busy celebrating the fact that Luo Muchen was gone to notice something was wrong.

Fine, Wen Qinxi was too dense to figure it out, it was Wen Danzhe who told him that Qie Xieling might be interested in Luo Muchen. As the loveless guru with a keen eye on romance, he could sniff it out from a distance just like how he found out Qie Ranzhe’s intentions while they were still in high school.

Wen Qinxi was about to burst his bubble when there was a notification on the screen. A series of numbers appeared on the screen one by one and Wen Qinxi’s fingers trembled hoping it was the right coordinates.

When the numbers finished moving it showed the world map and slowly zoomed to a particular area.

"Where is that?" asked Qie Ranzhe and Wen Qinxi pulled up a real-time satellite view. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"It’s a forest up north... I think we got him," he said his voice tremulous and Qie Ranzhe kissed his cheek before saying,

"Baby you are amazing."

After saying that he made a phone call. This time they needed to be smart about it and not scare the snake out of its hole. Wen Qinxi leaned back in his seat feeling a great sense of relief. He couldn’t wait to bring his baby back home.

While his parents were planning to search for a bunker in the woods for him, Qie Xieling was unconscious and in the dark floating like a fetus in the placenta. Well, at least that’s what it felt like for him.

He suddenly felt a pulling force sucking him into the dark abyss and when he opened his eyes he was met by an unexpected scene. He had no idea what to expect in this world but it was not this.

In front of him was a surreal scene. He was in a spacecraft cockpit with the vastness of space and twinkling stars in front of him. It was beautiful.

The holographic displays flickered with images of furious leaders, each adorned in futuristic attire of vibrant colours. Their voices, filled with anger and disdain, echoed through the cockpit, bombarding his senses and intensifying his migraine.

Insults like, "Psycho! Crazy vile human!" were thrown around, the accusations cutting through the silence. He had no idea what this character had done before he got here nor did he have a plotline he could work with. All he knew was that he couldn’t rely on the system anymore as Leong Jinn had been running the show ever since the last world. He just had to play it cool until Jolie got here. When that would be, was still a mystery to him.

From their incoherent screams, he managed to piece a few things together. It had something to do with him blowing up buildings belonging to the Zeden Coalition in the capital planet and killing dozens.

He coldly cut the call, silencing the barrage of insults and tranquillity was restored. The sudden silence allowed his mind to clear but his thought still couldn’t help but stray back to the last moment he saw Luo Muchen. They were kissing on the beach when everything suddenly went black. He didn’t even have the opportunity to say goodbye.

He reached out mentally, calling for Jolie, but as expected there was no response. He was alone for now and had to figure out his next plan.

He began to scan around the cockpit for any clues about who he was in this world and what he had done. He found a lot of useless things and just when he was about to give up he found a small box hidden carefully under the console.

He picked it up and was about to unlock it when he heard a proximity alert going off. He shoved the box in his clothes, pressed a button on the controls and saw several dots appear on the floating radar scanner display.

"Shit!" he swore when he saw highly advanced warcrafts appear in front of him out of thin air. He didn’t need knowledge of this world to know their warcrafts were much more advanced than his dingy spacecraft.

A holographic screen suddenly appeared in front of him. It was a forced communication from the fleet. A woman ever so familiar to him spoke her voice brimming with disdain and resentment.

"This is the general of the sixth fleet under the command of the Zeden coalition. We have you surrounded. Any attempt to resist will result in immediate fi-," said Bi Yu but before she could finish the call was cut.

She furrowed her brow in surprise. She didn’t think he would be so stubborn even though there was nowhere to run.

Qie Xieling definitely had somewhere to run. He found that he had a weapon on him. When his thumb touched the muzzle it registered his DNA and he pulled the trigger shooting the communication panel. This character definitely had an escape plan and he just had to find it.

"Establish communication again," she commanded but the lieutenant answered,

"General, it’s not going through."

Bi Yu gritted her teeth before saying, "Then fire when ready."

Qie Xieling heard the frantic warning filling the small spacecraft. Laser cannons were aimed at him by the entire fleet as they prepared to decimate him. Through sheer luck, he found the escape pod and immediately slipped into it his mind buzzing.

The world around him spun as the escape pod hurtled through the vacuum of space. The stars, previously a beautiful quilt of twinkling lights, now streaked by in furious lines of white as the pod spun uncontrollably. Qie Xieling was barely able to catch a glimpse of his former spacecraft exploding in a brilliant display of fire and metal.
