Chapter 306: A night of passion

Luo Muchen’s heart pounded as his cars screeched to a halt outside the imposing gate of the secluded compound nestled in the misty mountains. The tension in the air was palpable, and he could feel the weight of the impending confrontation with his uncle.

As Luo Muchen stepped out of the car he banged the door shut causing the car to shake making the men standing behind him jump a little in fear.

His cell phone buzzed, indicating an incoming call. He glanced at the screen to see "President Yin" displayed. With a deep breath, he answered the call, his voice laced with restrained anger." What do you want?" asked President Yin, his voice dripping with arrogance as he continued. "Shouldn’t you be out looking for your cheating partner?" 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

"I know he is here. Give him back to me otherwise you will pay a heavy price," he said while looking up to the sky that was slowly getting covered with grey clouds.

"But he slept with someone else. Why would you want someone who has been tainted? Again he embarrassed you and willingly crawled into another woman’s bed and had a night of passion. I even have a video of it. Tell me dear nephew... would you like to see it. I can show you now."

Luo Muchen’s grip tightened around the phone, his knuckles turning white. The audacity of his uncle was infuriating. He let out angry laughter before beckoning over Secretary Chen.

Without uttering a word, he extended his hand, and Jolie placed a sleek, black rocket launcher into his grasp. Its weight felt both empowering and dreadful, a symbol of the vengeance he sought.

He hoisted the rocket launcher onto his shoulder, feeling its cold metal press against his skin. He peered through the scope, scanning the vast expanse of his uncle’s estate, searching for a target.

His fingers tightened around the trigger, and with a surge of adrenaline, he fired a warning shot into the sky. The deafening explosion ripped through the tranquil air, causing the ground to tremble beneath their feet.

The echoes of the blast reverberated across the mountains, shattering the silence that had enveloped them. After Jolie put Luo Muchen’s cell phone on loudspeaker he declared words dripping with icy resolve, "This is your first warning, uncle," his voice laced with a chilling intensity that cut through the chaos.

President Yin stood frozen in disbelief. The colour drained from his face as he struggled to comprehend the audacity of Luo Muchen’s actions. "Are you crazy?!" he bellowed, his voice tinged with fear and desperation.

Luo Muchen, his grip on the rocket launcher unyielding, looked through the scope looking for his uncle’s location. In that moment his gaze conveyed a message that words could never articulate. The pain and anger etched upon his face spoke volumes, a testament to the depth of his love for Qie Xieling and the lengths he was willing to go to protect him.

"If you persist I will finish him. Now stand down," yelled his uncle through the loudspeaker.

With a solemn nod, Luo Muchen returned the rocket launcher to Secretary Chen, who accepted it with unwavering composure.

He took the phone and removed the loudspeaker mode before saying, "If you want to negotiate then let’s negotiate. Bring him out otherwise, I will burn everything you have worked for to the ground,"

After a long moment President Yin chuckled in a self-assured manner. "Oh, Muchen, my boy, you underestimate me. Do you really think I fear your threats? I am the President, backed by the might of the army and my loyal cabinet members. No one will dare touch me."

A cold smile crept across Luo Muchen’s face as he reached into his pocket, retrieving a small digital device. "Uncle Yin, you may believe you’re untouchable, but once I release what I have to the public you are lucky If they won’t put your head on a spike... That’s right. All your atrocities and heinous crimes... I will tarnish your legacy and you die alone inside cold stone walls."

A moment of silence hung in the air, broken only by the sound of Luo Muchen’s steady breathing. "If you do not release Qie Xieling this instant," he continued, his voice filled with conviction, "the evidence will find its way to the media. Your crimes will be known. No one will protect you then."

Uncle Yin’s once confident tone wavered but he wasn’t one to back down. "By then I will be on an island somewhere in the Pacific sipping on martinis as for you... You will be long dead," he muttered before abruptly cutting the call.

A sudden unease washed over Luo Muchen, his instincts warning him of imminent danger. "Stay vigilant!" he barked, his voice cutting through the stillness. His men, trained and battle-hardened, snapped into action, their eyes scanning the surroundings for any signs of trouble.

Then, without warning, the deafening crack of gunfire shattered the silence. The dense foliage that enveloped them obscured their vision, making it difficult to discern the source of the attack. Luo Muchen wasted no time; he knew they had to act swiftly to ensure their survival.

"Get in the cars!" he commanded, his voice laced with urgency. In the chaos that ensued, Jolie clutched the rocket launcher firmly in her hands. With a determined glint in her eyes, she swiftly aimed the weapon towards the rustling bushes and unleashed its explosive power.

As the rocket streaked through the air, Luo Muchen, fearless and relentless, took matters into his own hands. He revved the engine of his sleek black car, his men following suit. With a resolute expression, he accelerated towards the fortified gates, his car shaking as it ploughed over the iron barrier.

The moment they breached the gate, a torrent of bullets filled the air, a desperate attempt by his uncle’s forces to halt their advance. But Luo Muchen’s cars were equipped with bulletproof armour, providing a shield against the hailstorm of gunfire.

His fury reaching its peak he emerged through the sunroof of his car. Gripping a semi-automatic weapon tightly in his hands, he unleashed a storm of bullets, venting out all his pent-up anger. Each shot fired was a testament to his indomitable love for Qie Xieling.

Amidst the chaotic clash of gunfire and the screeching tyres, he tore through his uncle’s mansion shattering all the windows as the his uncle’s protective forces scattered like roaches after the lights get turned on.

"Defcon red! Defcon red! Send backup now damn it!" yelled one of them but he soon realised all their communication was down.
