Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy
Chapter 273: Qie Xieling’s favourite hobby
"I do but... he is dating boss Luo. He will never be interested in me," she said and Bager smiled slightly.
"All you have to be is interested and I will sort the rest out," he said and Bi Yu trembled subconsciously.
She was fully aware of Luo Muchen’s capabilities. She was once called in the middle of the night to assist Doctor Kang and as soon as she stepped into the cold room she could smell the strong stench of blood that sent shivers straight to her bones.
A man lay half dead with blood flowing from everywhere and they had to revive him. That was the most bloody scene she had witnessed. She was even surprised the man was still alive.
She knew the risks of doing such a job but the money was really good. It was so good that she bought an expensive apartment in an affluent neighbourhood and bought a brand-new car in just three months of working with Doctor Kang.
She should have been satisfied because she had achieved more than what her colleagues who graduated with her had but she had a great desire for luxury. She would buy expensive cosmetics, luxury handbags and shoes. Her hair was done by an expensive stylist and her nails were always prim and proper.
It wasn’t Bager who brought her into the fold. There was an envelope dropped at her doorstep and it had pictures of her father a drunkard who spent his inheritance on women and alcohol. In less than a year, all that their grandparents left for them was spent. She had no choice but to put herself in school. Her father on the other hand didn’t know where she was.
She had cut him off when he started coming to her for money. The amount he wanted kept getting bigger and bigger each time.
Having had enough she moved to a different city further away from the trauma of her childhood. But someone was now threatening to tell her father where she was.
In a moment of poor judgement, she agreed and in fear of that old man finding her, she agreed with the note telling her to follow Bager’s instructions.
With the promise of money and her father never finding her, she agreed. She could have asked Doctor Kang to speak on her behalf to Boss Luo but recalling how he treated that half-dead man and plenty of others she decided to keep her mouth shut. If Qie Xieling wasn’t spared then what about her?
"You know what he will do when he finds out? I really don’t want to die," she said her heart in a mess. It wasn’t worth it.
Bager smirked as he glanced at her in the corner of his eye. "Do you think this is a choice? Do you realise who you work for?" he said his voice devoid of the softness that he always showed Luo Muchen. His claws had finally come out and he was going to wreak havoc.
Her breathing stagnated as she looked at him her expression almost begging. She thought she was done with Bager after the matter was settled but apparently not. She had now realised she would never be done with these people.
"You will be fully compensated for your work. All I need you to do is be there. I assure you you won’t be implicated. You will lose your job but you will be set financially for life," he said as he wrote something down.
With a slight look of distraught on her face she took the piece of paper from him and her eyes widened looking at the figures.
Not only would she be set for life but her great grandchildren would be set for life. They would live their lives without having to work for anyone. She would be stupid if she didn’t take this deal. She could disappear and even buy herself an Island.
"What about my father?" she asked and Bager tilted his head slightly before asking,
"What about him?"
"I want him gone and make it look like an accident. I have insurance on his head," she said and Bager’s brows twitched. There was the cold heartless bitch that he knew she was.
"Sure but after you complete the task. You know I am good for it." Bi Yu nodded her head but she would be lying if she said she wasn’t scared.

Qie Xieling had no idea that he now had another target on his back. He was standing in the underground garage of Luo Muchen’s office building his eyes blindfolded.
"Mu Mu," he called out while waving his arms around.
Luo Muchen walked over to him while saying, "I told you to stay still. Why are you walking around?"
Qie Xieling showed a slight smile while looking around for Luo Muchen’s arms but he ended up touching his chest. Having found something interesting to mess with he squeezed Luo Muchen’s pectoral muscles like he was checking for grapefruit freshness at the grocery store.
The men standing nearby averted their gaze like they hadn’t seen anything. In fact, it would even been better if they acted blind. In fact, they couldn’t understand why these two were on intimate terms when just a few days ago their boss had vowed to kill Qie Xieling. The number one rule of the triads was to ask fewer questions and you will survive longer and live happily.
Luo Muchen pulled Qie Xieling closer and placed his hand on his waist in a possessive gesture. Luo Muchen whispered into his ear, "Don’t tempt me," before kissing his cheek. Qie Xieling chuckled softly. Tempting him was his hobby and he found delight in it.
When the blindfold was removed Qie Xieling’s eyes took some time to adjust. When his eyes finally could see properly he saw a sleek black Lykan with the same green stickers as on his other car. It was a brand new model with his name on it. Qie Xieling who hadn’t even mentioned the car yet was a little startled.
Of course, he knew that Luo Muchen had his ways but still. He didn’t think that he would be this thoughtful.
