Return of the Immortal Emperor Daddy
Chapter 416 - 418 Everyone Wants a Share of the Spoils [7/7]
Wu Tian and the others had arrived in Hezong Country the previous night. This grand building had been transformed without a soul noticing. With a simple snap of Wu Tian’s fingers, the others went about renovating the building; anyone who happened to see it acted as if they had seen nothing at all.
When Black Eight-Horse and the other Monarchs stepped into the Hezong Building, they found it completely rejuvenated, now arguably the most magnificent building in the world. The building’s highlight wasn’t its golden splendor but the fact that it was brimming with more Spiritual Energy than ever before. For instance, due to the circulation of this energy, every single stone brick had taken on a crystalline quality.
Inside the building, the Spiritual Energy was so abundant it felt like a Sacred Land. My cultivation speed could increase tenfold here. Black Eight-Horse thought.
Walking through the halls and breathing the air, Black Eight-Horse and the other Monarchs felt the fatigue from years of hard work and sleepless nights instantly melt away.
"This... this is Wu Tian’s masterpiece? What... what formidable power," Black Eight-Horse said in sincere admiration. "We have no one like this in Hua Sheng Nation. To think... to think a Sacred Land could be man-made."
The other Monarchs were too shaken to speak. Walking through the building and breathing in the Spiritual Energy was like being in a newborn Sacred Land. Of course, the great kingdoms all had their own Sacred Lands, such as the Thames River in Arthur Country or the Seine River in the Kingdom of France, but their Spiritual Energy had diminished greatly over time.
And now? New Sacred Lands were not supposed to appear in the world, as they were creations of heaven and earth. Who could have imagined that Wu Tian could create one through his own effort? Black Eight-Horse and the others had to admit that as they walked through the building, they felt an overwhelming urge to submit and worship.
The main hall of the building had been arranged just like a church. "Silence!" Presiding over the event from the front was the little girl.
Having watched plenty of TV dramas, she knew what an officiant at a wedding should do and was eager to try. Wu Tian and Qin Yuhan doted on her, so they let her. At the same time, it showed the parents’ confidence in their child.
When the little girl spoke, her voice was imbued with Spiritual Power, ensuring everyone heard her loud and clear. It was as if the sound reached their very souls, making them tremble involuntarily.
"That’s Wu Tian’s daughter..." Black Eight-Horse was visibly shaken. But who would have thought she’d be so powerful?
The other Monarchs were left speechless. Wu Tian is truly a monster, and his daughter is no different.
But what could they say? Some of them were Monarchs of developed nations and had confidence in their own national treasures, but no one wanted to provoke Wu Tian for no reason. So, when the Hezong Building was altered, no one said a word.
"Hey, you few over there," the little girl said, her tone anything but polite toward the Monarchs. "Do you want to attend my dad and mom’s wedding? If so, sit down quietly. If not, get out."
This earned praise from the already-seated Xiao Liang, Xiao Tianzan, and Wang Congming. What an impressive little rascal! they thought. Why were they here? Wu Tian had invited them, and they trusted him. In the past, they never would have been able to set foot inside the Hezong Building.
The monarch of the Stick Country was fuming. "I’m so angry, I’m so angry," he muttered, practically steaming at the ears that a little girl would dare speak to him that way. But his voice was barely a whisper; it was all bluster. He was clearly scared stiff. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
"I actually find this child quite adorable," the Queen of Arthur Country couldn’t help but smile. She held no prejudice against Wu Tian; in fact, she felt the fondness an elder has for a junior, simply because he shared the surname, Wu, with the man she admired.
"Come on, let’s all take a seat," Black Eight-Horse said with a smile. "So many Monarchs attending one person’s wedding... this is unprecedented in history. Interesting, very interesting indeed."
They found vacant seats and sat down. The wedding finally began to unfold, but before it truly started, the little girl’s expression turned solemn and her tone grew grave. With unprecedented cold composure, she announced, "Today is my dad and mom’s wedding. I hope everyone will be on their best behavior. If anyone shows any disrespect, don’t blame me for being rude. I’ll beat them so badly their own mothers won’t recognize them."
As she spoke, her words were laced with a fierce fighting spirit. Her meaning was clear: Show me respect, and we’ll all get along. If you don’t, I’ll beat you so badly you’ll be on tomorrow’s front page.
For a Monarch to be beaten up and have it appear in the newspapers wouldn’t just be a personal humiliation; it would be a national disgrace.
The little girl’s words made Cui Chong, Xiao Liang, and the others applaud. Her warning was clearly aimed at the Monarchs of the Foreign States, states that had, to varying degrees, once looked down on the Dragon Country.
Now, the fierce dragon had crossed the river, and the local snakes would submit whether they liked it or not. The local snakes were expected to lie down quietly. The unspoken message was that she was borrowing their place, and if they didn’t behave, they shouldn’t blame her for getting physical.
...
Next to Black Eight-Horse, many Monarchs were visibly angered. How on earth did Wu Tian raise this child? Does he truly believe he’s invincible? That he can threaten so many kingdoms at once? He needs to realize that most of our kingdoms are no weaker than Fusang, and some are even stronger! Does he think destroying Fusang makes him number one in the world?
The monarch of the Stick Country looked at Black Eight-Horse. "Mr. Black Eight-Horse, with Wu Tian being so domineering, are we still going to get a slice of the pie?"
The other Monarchs’ attention shifted to him, as they were all concerned about the same thing.
Fusang, though small, was a fully functional state. It was a highly developed, capitalist kingdom and the world’s third-largest economy. Its resources were scarce and it was heavily reliant on imports, but its advanced manufacturing industry was a pillar of its economy. Its levels of scientific research, aerospace engineering, manufacturing, and education were among the best in the world. Furthermore, its cultural industry, led by anime and games, and its developed tourism industry were also important national symbols. In several aspects, such as anime, Fusang was arguably the world leader. All the Monarchs wanted a slice of the pie. That was the entire point of the Hezong Country conference.
But now, Wu Tian hadn’t even appeared, and his daughter was already this assertive. Would they dare demand a slice of the pie later? All the Monarchs now looked to Black Eight-Horse, their thoughts obvious. You’re the Monarch of the world’s number one superpower! You’re the big brother! Please, say something!
Black Eight-Horse chuckled. Normally, while everyone privately acknowledged that his Hua Sheng Nation was the world’s number one, how many Monarchs would ever admit it out loud? It was only at times like this that they would call him "big brother," effectively putting him on the hot seat.
But Black Eight-Horse knew what was at stake. After a moment of deliberation, he said, "Of course we’re getting a slice of the pie!"
Black Eight-Horse had always believed Hua Sheng Nation’s greatest enemy wasn’t the British Arthur Country or the German Iron Wolf Country. It was the Dragon Country—still developing and underestimated by many. If it gained all of Fusang’s resources, it could challenge Hua Sheng Nation’s dominance within ten years. This was something Black Eight-Horse would not allow. Therefore, a slice of the pie must be claimed.
