Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 807: Avatar Of Slavery
As Kael stood above his simple straw mat, ejecting a massive amount of that golden energy from his mouth into the sky, he was still aware of everything that was happening around him.
Almost everything that is.
His eyes were clouded by the same golden energy but it didn’t prevent him from seeing what he needed to see.
Thousands of lion immortals linked to the lion system had split into three groups.
The first group was the smallest, comprising a few hundred, or barely over five hundred.
This was the same group that Anastasia and Daniella were in as they were the ones that stayed back to see what was happening to Kael.
The second group followed Azeus to the territory of the Cats. The goal was not to defeat anyone, it was to cause as much chaos and destruction as possible with the time they had left.
The cats had to collect their fair share; otherwise, it wouldn’t be proper.
The second group had gone with Phestus to the bee hives to trash the bees.
Both groups were doing things they normally wouldn’t do without a plan of how to get out.
But because a heavenly breakout was imminent, they were willing to go all out.
The morale of the lions was extremely high right now and it was perfect for solving some of those minor inconveniences that would come in the future.
Thinking of this, Kael sent a message to Azeus, asking him to kill any cheetah if he could, the stronger the better.
Azeus replied through the chat with a simple, ’No problem’ before going back to handle whatever it was that he was doing.
Trusting that Kael would be able to get them out of Original Heaven was a serious matter. It was like taking a gamble, but for some reason, those linked to the lion system were willing to take rather than gamble.
Added to the fact that there were some rewards available to those who could actually kill something.
The lions Wii have fought the cats and bees even if a heavenly breakout was not going to happen. This wasn’t the first time.
Kael was confident in his ability to perform this Heavenly Breakout, he had been planning it since he discovered the Freedom Formula.
The only thing that could stop him from doing this right now was external factors.
Gabriel, the felines, and many more enemies of the lions could just show up at any moment to harm Kael and prevent the lions from leaving.
For now, most races in Original Heaven didn’t even know what was happening yet. Even as they saw the distant golden hue over the horizon and heard the tear, they would still be confused.
It was of great importance that they did not allow the lions to escape beyond the Original Heaven. Yet, few knew that this evening was about to happen right before their eyes and there was nothing they would be able to do about it.
Not unless...
In this state of fluctuating power, Kael could see something that was extremely worrying.
His Lion System had grown to be very strong and could easily suppress and detect foreign powers.
But the foreign power that Kael was detecting right now was not ordinary at all. The last time he felt something similar to this was when he was faced with Ibadon.
And that was due to sheer luck, nothing else.
At least, Ibadon had been weakened by the explosion of the Crystal Throne, making him vulnerable enough to be killed and ensuring that he didn’t live long enough to complete his life mission.
No other Crystal Throne was lying around somewhere. Even if there was, no one was going to be as crazy as Ibadon to activate it.
Now, Kael was sensing an aura similar to Ibadon’s from the traitor.
Gabriel, the expected, yet surprising betrayer, was the one producing this aura of foreign power.
*BOOM!*
Alexander was blasted across the sky, his form streaking over Kael and leaving a trail of mists of blood.
How?
The world shook when Alexander’s body landed in the distance, and it trembled again when the fight on the other side of the world continued.
Back at Gabriel’s position, Jordan repeatedly rushed at Gabriel like a mad beast. He didn’t care about the transformation.
As a matter of fact, the transformation that he was seeing greatly annoyed Jordan and only made him angrier.
"You traitorous scum!" Jordan roared and slashed with his claws coated with demonic energy.
*CLANG!*
The claws clashed with another set of claws that should have been covered in holy celestial energy.
But what Jordan’s claws clashed with was something else entirely.
They exchanged attacks and weaved through their counters. Jordan was like a red blur, dashing back and forth and coming back with enough momentum to spear through a galaxy.
Jordan did not fight with any clear pattern or combat technique. It was full barbarism. Simply combining brute force with speed and intelligence to become a very deadly fighter.
Still, the new Gabriel managed to not only block and counter all these chaotic moves, but he also fought back.
Gabriel had changed.
One look at him and they could grasp a clearer picture of why Gabriel had chosen this path.
Why did anyone even choose any path?
Early on, it was usually about survival but over time, it always boiled down to power.
Gabriel could talk on and on about the righteous side of his vision but it didn’t change the fact that he would gain power from it one way or the other.
Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Gabriel was corrupted.
His fur had completely fallen off. No longer was he that majestic lion with white and gold fur that shone with a saintly hue.
He was now a furless animal, his skin matted with different shades of gold. This gold colour was not the same as what Kael had.
Gabriel’s skin was like a mix of grey and gold with grey being more dominant. The gold was dirty, lacking the majesty that a king and tyrant should have.
His angelic wings and halo were also gone, further wiping off the
Replacing Gabriel’s mane was a disgusting mass of multicoloured tendrils, each having their base attached to Gabriel’s neck.
His neck itself couldn’t even be seen at all, just the massive fleshy tendrils which were all shades that a piece of meat could have.
What had Gabriel become?
An Avatar? Or an abomination?
The two names were more related than anyone would think.
"Jordan!" Gabriel said while hitting Jordan in the face with a powerful paw smash, "Do you see me? Do you see this?
This is the power we lions could all possess.
The power of Slavery.
All creatures can still bow to us, just like before."
"SHUT UP!"
Jordan exploded with supreme demonic power, crashing into Gabriel and sinking his claws into the latter’s chest.
Gabriel was pushed into the ground, digging a long and deep ravine in the process with Jordan still on top of him.
Alas, Gabriel didn’t even try to pretend as if he was hurt. He wasn’t.
"Uriel killed himself after seeing the failure of the lion race! Such a shame that we still have to endure what he ensured!
Why!" Gabriel fought back and pushed at Jordan, summoning a vast amount of strange power.
[Kael: Jordan, get out of there.]
"No!" Jordan pressed his paws on Gabriel’s face. Gabriel was still missing his two eyes so one of Jordan’s claws easily went through his eyeholes to touch his brain.
"Uriel died because there was nothing left for him to do," Jordan said.
Instead of a reply, he got hit with the mane tendrils.
"None of it matters anyway," Gabriel said after swatting Jordan away.
He stood up with a distressed expression on his hairless lion face. He found no joy in doing what he was doing.
But he had to, the power of the Slavery Law was the only reason why he could survive for so long when fighting against two Supreme Immortals.
"I will raise our lion race from the ashes of our ancestors’ mistakes. With or without your help!"
Gabriel then flew toward the golden pillar of energy, or rather, he was going for Kael.
The tendrils were filled with Slavery Essence as they shot toward some of the immortals that could not move out of the way in time.
It looked like Gabriel would actually be able to get to Kael. Jordan was still recovering far away from here.
Gabriel stretched out his claws, diving at the All-King with the intent to shred the latter to pieces.
[Time Until Heavenly Breakout: 6 minutes, 59 seconds...]
Time was ticking fast.
"No!" Daniella cried out as she rushed Kael to stand in the way of Gabriel.
Still, she was too slow.
Gabriel reached the All-King and his claws were a few inches away from touching Kael when....
"AAAAAAAAAAARGH!"
Reversed Conquering Essence flowed through the system and burst out of Gabriel’s body.
Kael’s body turned transparent, the power of the spirit, and Gabriel flew right through him while screaming in agony.
